Itunes drag n drop help
I have some movies that I want to put on my computer. However, I cant put them into my computer because the movie section in Itunes just tells you to buy it.
"Feature films and home movies you add to Itunes appeaer in Movies in your Itunes library. To play a movie, just double click it." This is on the top with download moveis and rent movies on the bottom. Any help on how i can get rid of that and have it go to my empty movie section?
To wipe completely do a restore.
Instead of manual sync you could try syncing selected playlist. Make a playlist just for Nano then change contents of playlist as desired.

Using my MacBook Pro I was able to drag and drop in iTunes to transfer music to my iPad Air and iPhone - until recently. On 21 November, I tried to drag and drop some tracks - would not work. I tried dragging and dropping to both iPad Air and iPhone - nothing.
Just for fun I then used iTunes on a PC (Windows) and the same thing - drag and drop would not work. As a matter of fact on either system, MAC or PC, if I checked a song to SYNC - no SYNC!

I am doing a project that involves Drag and Drop with JLabels.
What i want to do is:
When the draggable is dropped onto the droppable JLabel, I want to update the position of the draggable. So far, when i try to update the position of the dragged JLabel, i seem to update the Droppable JLabel's position. Is there a way to reference both draggable and droppable JLabels inside the drag method?
here is the part of my code that updates the wrong position:

OK - Here's my problem. Just moving from AS2 to AS3 and
trying to create a drag and drop template. I need to re-use a
single drag selection multiple times, to multiple targets and then
graded. For example, say I was building a car by dragging parts
over to a car frame. I need to be able to drag a copy of a tire to
the car frame 4 times in any random order. Drag 2 doors in any
order, or drag one item like a hood... etc, then grade to make sure
all are in the right place.
I have succedded in dragging a specific Drag item to a
specific Target and give feedback as it is dropped (either "wrong",
"correct" or "Good Job, Completed"), but having a bear of a time
trying to figure out how to use one Drag item for multiple Targets.
Anybody have a sample template FLA of the same concept that I
can build from?

position on the diagram in any order and then checked after student
drops the item on a target. (sample sent to email)
I have 1 for 1 working (working targets have green

barrels in any order, 6 red squares over in any order and 2 orange

Java provides two separate packages for drag and drop. java.awt.dnd and java.awt.datatransfer. These packages contain interfaces and classes for drag and drop. So pls go thru these classes.

After installing iTunes 10.5.1, I can no longer drag and drop files into iTunes. Any suggestions?
Basically when I try to drag files from a folder into iTunes, (drag and drop within iTunes is fine) the little picture of the circle with a slash through it shows up and wont allow me to drop it into iTunes. just want to add my annoyance to the pile here. I can't see any logic behind removing the drag and drop function, especially when adding a new folder is now a multi-step process that is far from obvious. to start a new playlist with local folder content you now need to:enter settingsclick into advanced settings (basically all settings now seem to be "advanced"?)manually find and add the foldergo through the adventure of finding the files in your library.
-- because they may or may not be listed under "local files" - you won't know because Ctrl+F is also removed. so you have to remember/know what the album you added is called and search for that. if you have a mixed bag of file names from various albums, you're basically shafted; there's no way to find them all with a single search.then you can add them to playlisteta: but wait! there's more! if you have more than 15 files? you're **bleep** out of luck, because the search will only display the first 15 hits among your local files, and then show you spotify library tracks.I can't help but feel as though spotify is doing everything they can to stop us using spotify to listen to local files, as bugs that make it more or less impossible persist through multiple versions - and now features that seem to me to be basic functionality are being removed?mega minus points from someone who's been using spotify since 2008. -
I can't drag and drop songs onto my iPod from iTunes. (Manual transfer is not working.) Please help!
Normally, I just select songs and I'm able to drag and drop them from my library onto my device. I have an iPod Touch and an iPhone 4. I want to drag and drop my songs from the library onto my iPod Touch. I have already selected manual upload instead of automatic sync. I tried suggestions from the Mac message board (since other people seem to have had a similar issue), and their solutions didn't work for me. I have restarted both iTunes, my computer, and reconnected my iPod multiple times. I don't know what's going on, and I can't find a fix anywhere in iTunes help. If anyone knows what to do, or has any suggestions, please let me know! Thanks.
Update: I seem to have fixed the problem! I went to the "summary" section of my iPod after clicking on the device on the left side of iTunes. I checked the box that allowed me to "manually manage music and videos" and applied this option. The songs are syncing! And, yay, they're playing on my iPod now! Hopefully, this helps anyone else who might have this problem. There might be other issues, but this is working for now.

If you do not have a local copy of a song which you have purchased (i.e. it is available via iTunes in the Cloud), you may need to redownload it before you can transfer it to your device. You may find the following article helpful:

ive brought a new laptop and re-installed itunes now i carnt drag and drop my music onto my iphone i just get a red circle with a line in it and its not transfring on to my iphone can anyone help please
You will have to sync your iphone to this computer first, erasing the current content and replacing wioth content from the new computer.
Make sure you have copied everything from the old comptuer to the new one first. -
I am using garage band for the first time. I dragged and dropped a song from itunes into the program and I want to extend the length of the song by repeating the first 28 measures. I can't figure it out. Please help. I have spent several hours trying to figure it out on my own but have not been successful. It seems like an easy task. Can anyone help?

Is drag to drop songs or videos still present in itunes. When i updated itunes i couldn't drag and drop any song or videos pls help.
It could be an indication or a damaged or dying hard drive. I would recommend doing a disk diagnostic on the iPod's HD using the instructions given by turingtest2 in this older thread. He also covers what the resulting numbers indicate.

With then new iTunes 11, Apple has suceeded in fixing something that was not broke but made it difficult and complicated...They must have hired some windows guys.
I can no longer drag and drop music into my ipod touch...it seems apple felt I should no longer be able to do that and refuses to let me install the iTunes 10 as they think they know best for all of us....any ideas?What happens when you do this?

Help - lost ability to drag and drop music between itunes and iphone
I used to be able to manage my iphone 3GS music library through itunes on my MacBook pro - I could delete songs, drag/drop from my macbook library to the iphone, etc. However, just tried now and can't do that anymore! All the songs in the music library are greyed out, I can't drag and drop, I could only "sync" to add music.
I recently got a new iphone (warranty replacement) and also just uploaded a bunch of updates to software, so I don't know what caused this problem. Any ideas? Thanks.What he said.
However, consider a different way of managing music on the iPhone that I find much easier. Create a Playlist (or lists)in iTunes, then drag all of the music you want on the phone to this list. Then, in the Music tab, check to sync only that playlist. It's much easier to add and remove music from a playlist than it is directly to the phone. -
I have mp4 movie files that i am trying to transfer to my ipad and it will no longer work. They will not copy to my iTunes library. I used to be able to transfer/drag and drop converted movies to my iTunes are the mp4 files maybe too big Although I have plenty of space

I was thinking about why the songs arent importing and I feel that its either, A) the format of the files has changed since you last imported them, or B) you may need to rebuild the iTunes library.

Note: After re-creating your library, any devices that you sync with iTunes (Apple TV, iPod, iPhone, iPad) will see your iTunes library as a new library and will completely resync. The next sync with such a device will take longer and may reset some options since your rebuilt library isn't familiar to the device.
1. Quit iTunes.
2. Locate your iTunes folder (this is the folder that contains the iTunes Library and iTunes Library.xml files).

"iTunes Library" or "iTunes Library.itl"
Microsoft Windows
"iTunes Library.itl"
6. Open iTunes.
Important: Do not add any content into iTunes at this point (such as by purchasing something from the iTunes Store).
7. Choose File > Library > Import Playlist.
8. Navigate to the "iTunes Library.xml" file on the Desktop.
Mac users: Click Choose.
Windows users: Click Open.
If your Podcasts list in iTunes is empty after following these steps, learn how to add them back into iTunes.
