Itunes duplicating songs that are the same. Multiple computers.

On my ipod i have it set to manually update. I connect it to two computers, one is a G5, another is a custom PC.
Now here's the problem, i'll drag and drop all of the music from the PC onto the ipod, it updates it, and we're all good. Well when i get back to my mac (where the other 6k songs are) ill drag and drop the library and it'll start importing, only problem is that it is importing the *exact same files*. Certain artists (annihilator, necrophagist, etc.) are on both computers, but they are the *exact same files*. I imported them on the PC, sent them over my LAN to my mac, and imported them. Meaning they have the same file extensions, names, and are the *exact same files*.
Now itunes will duplicate these in it's own sense. It'll import them and basically duplicate about 3k songs. This is obviously something i dont want. Now i know that i can show duplicate songs in itunes, but i'm not about to go through 6k songs and delete 1/2 of them.
So here is my question, are there any apple scripts out there that will tell itunes to import aritsts/albums/genres that are not already on the ipod?
Before anyone answers with "well just drag and drop the artists/albums/genres that aren't on the ipod" well that's great, only i have 335 different artists, and 896 albums. If you have that kind of time, great, but i dont.

I have the same problem. Right now my iPhone 5S shows 3 instances of the computer to which it is connected under Settings » General » iTunes WiFi Sync. I'm having problems connecting and syncing, and this is probably the cause: the phone chooses one of these connections, and it isn't the one that's actually in use. What's probably happening is that the phone and computer establish a connection using a dynamic IP address, the address becomes "disassociated" due to error, another address is associated, the phone retains each address/link, and each link is displayed as if it represents a separate computer (the fact that the name of the computer is identical is ignored, as the only thing that is considered important is the IP address). But that's all conjecture. More important, I'm not sure how to fix the problem. A network reset doesn't do it.

It appears Apple’s download servers are ‘overwhelmed’ today. I couldn’t download the newest iTunes update or IOS 7 and there are a lot of discussions today about not being able to download. One poster said they had chatted with App Store support who confirmed the problem.

Fonts that are the same look different why?

These 2 images (the copy text within the image) are the same in every way, yet when saved as .jpg look different. Why does this happen?
I have tried saving at 100% instead of the 60%, and this helps make them a bit clearer, but still not as crisp as the image beside it. Please help. Thanks

It's rather fine text, and when you save it as an image, it's alignment to the "pixel grid" may differ (from the same type/size text in similar images) by a fraction of a pixel.
Fonts have a built-in parameter called "hinting" which helps ensure that varying proximity to the pixel grid doesn't distort the glyphs of live type while they're displayed on-screen. It's a scientifically grizzly little property that dictates which portions of a glyph are always black, versus the portions that are subject to "anti-aliasing." When you rasterize the text as you have, it loses its hinting and becomes subject to "accident" in terms of pixel grid alignment, anti-aliasing, and subsequent perceptual rendering on-screen.
Considering the above, rasterizing text is somewhat of a crap-shoot and should be avoided. Your layouts could be composed with live text; and should be. Methods might differ depending on whether the end-product is an "email blast" or something that's always and only ever rendered in a browser.

Inbound Invoices (EDI 810) with multiple items that are the same keys.

One of our Vendors just started sending us 810's that have multiple items with the same P.O., Delivery, P/N, Price, etc. The reason is that they (and we) track inbound batches for the purpose of traceability, so the only difference between items on both the invoice and inbound delivery is the batch number.
SAP will not allow the automatic creation of an SAP Invoice with these conditions. The error message is M8321 - 'Document contains same order item more than once'.
SAP Note 103051 says it cannot be done, and you must "Deactivate the billing of the batch sub-items in SD Customizing" in order to have an Invoice created that combines all items into one.
Does anyone know how to do that?

Nevermind. Fixed the problem. Two menu items both began with the letter S. Added an & before the second letter of the second menu item and now the problem is fixed. First items hotkey is S and the second items hotkey is now h (which is the second letter of the 2nd menu item).

I had an Unlimited US & Canada subscription and then redeemed a voucher for the same thing. I expected the term of my subscription to be extended by a year. But it seems that, instead, I have two of the same subscriptions running at the same time. What can I do to correct this?

In a gradient mesh, I can't tell Illustrator to select all points that are the same color?

All I can find online is to highlight over an area to select multiple mesh points. That will not work in my case. I can't tell illustrator to select same color, the way it does with fills and strokes? I want to change the color and I have to click on every single point again? Ridiculous.

You can assin colors an dhe recolor art filter will only read the color at the anchor points which I think is desirable
Look at the very warm red color color and how I change it by assingin a new color in this case a blue. Read about the Recolr Art Dialog in the help files it is bit tricky at first but does lot of good things.
After you get the colors you want you can turn them into a color grpups as well and you will have the swatches in your swatch panel.
Then if you have similar colors that you wish to cahnge the same color you can use the edit color wheel and move the color selectors over one another.
Here I turend the warm red to a yellowish color as wellas the more orange color to match the new color .

Photo album theme in iWeb that are the same as the old MobileMe wanted!?!

I really liked MobileMe and made many Albums with specially design firstside photos. That means they are square with four sides equally long. I put down quite a lot of work and now I would like to get hold on a simple, goodlooking theme for photoalbums with an index with square photoholders. That all I want.
Anybody seen anything like this? Could someone do it or tell how to do it??

Yes, but that´s the very problem - I have downloaded and I have 98 different themes of allready made photo albums for iWeb, and all of them got - as You say - a rectangle frame for the indexpage. That will crop the albums first picture in a very irritating way - specially since I remade all of them to fit in a square (like the MobileMe album had). They worked as a frontpage of the album, with text and sometimes with a suitable frame in the picture. In iWeb, they will all be cropped to a middle section of the square.
But in the iWeb´s albums next page - usually a kind of a lightboard, showing all pictures in that album - the square format are kept, likewise in following pages, showing a blowup of each photo.
I think now the only way to get the index to look nice with my square photos, will be for me to add marginals on each side on all the first´s to fill up a rectangle frame. But it´s impossible to do it unvisible. It will be noticed.

The valid values for DateRangesOverlap is Year, Month and Now. Did you try using Now instead of Today?

When duplicating a field, even when the original field is locked, the duplicated fields appear at different positions on pages that are the same size. How do I make them uniform?

I'm trying to put a hidden time stamp field on the bottom of all pages of a thousand page document, yet when I duplicate the field, the reproduced fields appear at different positions on different pages. Is there a way to make them all appear uniformly on each page. I've tried using the Lock function in the Properties menu before duplicating but to no avail. Please help.

I go to Tools>Forms> Edit...Do you want to detect...No. Add New Field>Text Field. I lay out my field at the bottom of the page, adjust the Properties (Hidden but printable, read only, font, alignment), Lock the Properties. Then I right-click and hit Duplicate.

How do I remove migrated PPC apps from Intel iMac that has the same apps?

Before I begin, please know that I've read a lot of previous posts but all the posts only had some of what I needed so I'm posting this as a new topic. OK, here I go:
My PPC running 10.5 just froze-up (that has since been solved) but in the process of solving that issue, I migrated everything as a different user (User B) INCLUDING my applications, to my Intel iMac - my iMac that also had the same applications on it - except they were intel versions and they were under User A.
So I essentially did an archive and clean install on my PPC.
Then, using Migration Assistant, I transferred User B onto my PPC. Now both of my computers have duplicates of most of my applications. In trying to fix this issue, I found out I should NOT have transferred my applications. So now I'm very confused as to which apps I should remove off my PPC and which I should remove off my intel iMac.
If I just delete User B from my intel iMac, that's easy enough but will that remove the dupes? I have a funny feeling it doesn't.
And then, which do I remove from my PPC?
AND THEN, are there other things I will need to remove from different places on my computer?

Normally application go in the Applications folder at the top level of the hard drive, not in any user folders. If you have applications in user folders that are the same as those in the Applications folder, you can delete them from the user folders. If you actually migrated PPC applications into the Applications folder on an Intel Mac, it would have replaced the Intel versions. To fix that,you would have to reinstall OSX on the Intel Mac.
The same thing would apply on the PPC Mac.

TS3217 When I try to skip one song on my ipone, it skips through several. The songs that are skipped can be played on the same iphone if I go into my itunes and select that song. So this tells me that the song can be played, therefore, it is not the song.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

This may be related to a new feature embedded in iOS7 that shows all purchased music by default. Go to Settings > Music, then turn off Show All Music. See if the issue ceases once the feature has been disabled. This information is located on page 63 of the user guide below.
