Itunes email address and iCloud issues

Good afternoon all,
When I initially created an Apple account back in 2004 I signed up for a then .mac email address and now use that same .mac address with all of my iCloud services. Not thinking I created an AppleID to use with iTunes using a personal email address (something similar to [email protected] for example).
The dilemma that I have is that I have to use the [email protected] email address to sign into my iTunes account to purchase anything from the iTunes store and to view all of my past purchases from 2004 to present; yet all of my iCloud services (keychain, photos, etc...) are setup using my .mac email address.
When I log into my [email protected] AppleID (the account that has all of my iTunes purchases) I try to change the email address to my .mac address and it will not allow me bc it says it is an apple owned domain.
Is there any way possible for me to merge these two accounts so that I can have one singular email sign in for all of my iTunes and iCloud services?
Thanks
-Kris

Can I keep my MobileMe email address once I move to iCloud?
Only if you have an active MobileMe account when you sign up for iCloud, you can keep your me.com or mac.comemail address and any email aliases you have created and move your MobileMe mail, contacts, and calendars, as well as your bookmarks, to the new service. When you're ready to make the move, go to www.me.com/move.

  • I have changed my apple email address and icloud is asking me to sign in under my old email then saying my password is incorrect how can i change it pls

I have changed my apple id but when i try to log into icloud etc it lists my old id therefore my password is wrong as there is no such account now, how do i change this to show my new id and get into my account

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.
If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, and your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • MobileMe Email address and iCloud

    Hi,
I had an MobileMe email address. That account expired. I'm trying to get the same email address with iCloud but it tells me the @me.com address is already taken. Yeah, it's taken by me! How can I reclaim this email. I use the same handle for everything.
    Thank you!

my apple id for icloud is linked to an invalid email address and i do not have the password for the account.  I need to delete the account to access my icloud on my iphone.  any ideas on how to override this issue?

If you updated the old ID at one point to create your current iCloud ID, temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. • HT5621 Updated Apple ID- the iCloud is still autopopulating my other ID email address and I can't change it from my iCloud, iPhone or anything.

Updated Apple ID- the iCloud is still autopopulating my other ID email address and I can't change it from my iCloud, iPhone or anything. I've updated my Apple ID through my PC, and iTunes Store, but it will not populate and I am losing my mind. This is ridiculously frustrating

If you still have access to your old email address, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email account and verify it.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  You can now go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your correct iCloud ID and password.
If you don't have access to your old email address, you will have to contact Apple to have them reset the password so you can disable Find My iPhone and sign into your iCloud account.  You can either go to https://expresslane.apple.com, select "More Products and Services", then "Apple ID", then  on the next page select "Other Apple ID Topics", then "Lost or forgotten Apple ID password" and click "Continue"; or you can contact Apple Support (http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/).

  • I changed my email address and my user id will not update for icloud!

Yes, I went into the Appleid and updated the email address there.  The problem?? Icloud on my Iphone 4! It does not allow you to change the User ID in settings! I've tried going to store and sign out and sign back in. Did not work! Has anyone else had this issue??

If the old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. On my iPad it will not let me change my email address. The old one is no longer in use and I cannot get emails on it any longer. How do I change iCloud email address on the iPad?

To change the iCloud ID ("email address") you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. I have a iphone 4s and changed icloud email address and forgot to sign out of find my phone. How can I turn it off to change to the new email address that I changed in icloud?

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.  When you do this you may find that the password for your old ID isn't accepted.  If this should happen, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, you need to temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. I changed my apple ID email address, and now I can't access my iCloud because it was  listed with the previous email address. What can I do?

If the old ID ("email address") is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. • I changed my email address and apple id, but havebeen unable to change my cloud id

I changed my email address and changed my apple id and password, but have been unable to change the icloud id. How?

If you still have access to your old email address, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your iCloud ID.  Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email account and verify it.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You should then be able to turn off Find My iPhone with your password. If you don't have access to your old email address, you will have to contact Apple to get them to reset the password for it so you can disable Find My iPhone and sign into your iCloud account.  You will have to prove your identity to them in order to do so.  You can either contact iTunes support for assistance with this (https://ssl.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html), or contact Apple Support (http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/).

  • I have a new email address and was successful in changing that information on line but my phone and iPad does not recognize the new address and I cannot update anything. It also does not accept the password associated with the old email address/Apple ID

I have a new email address and was successful in changing the information online but cannot change it on my iPhone 4S or iPad. When I try to fix the problem it requires me to create a new password and now I can't remember that either.

If the old ID (iCloud account) is yours, and if it is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. This will not work if your current ID is an entirely new ID and is not a newer version of the old ID.
