Itunes email and iCloud email issues

Good afternoon all,
When I initially created an Apple account back in 2004 I signed up for a then .mac email address and now use that same .mac address with all of my iCloud services. Not thinking I created an AppleID to use with iTunes using a personal email address (something similar to [email protected] for example).
The dilemma that I have is that I have to use the [email protected] email address to sign into my iTunes account to purchase anything from the iTunes store and to view all of my past purchases from 2004 to present; yet all of my iCloud services (keychain, photos, etc...) are setup using my .mac email address.
When I log into my [email protected] AppleID (the account that has all of my iTunes purchases) I try to change the email address to my .mac address and it will not allow me bc it says it is an apple owned domain.
Is there any way possible for me to merge these two accounts so that I can have one singular email sign in for all of my iTunes and iCloud services?
Thanks
-Kris

Currently there is no way to merge Apple IDs. Send a request to Apple via http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html.

  • Trying to update apple id and icloud email.

A while ago I changed my apple id email and icloud email but the phone still asks for the old email and it's password. I have now got a new phone and am trying to reset the old one (to give to my son) but it keeps asking for the old email id password, which I've forgotten.  When I log in to the page on the website it won't recognise my details so I am not sure what to do next to delete this old email address and reset the old phone.
    Any ideas please?

If it is an earlier version of your current ID, temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID.  You should now be able to delete the existing account.  Then you can go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.

Having trouble opening emails and composing emails in icloud for  PC.  What could be the problem?

See the post by jmb667 in this thread for instructions to fix everything. https://discussions.apple.com/message/16410330#16410330
Then, if you’re using iCloud to store your contacts, calendars, bookmarks, and notes, don’t also sync them to your device using iTunes.  I use iCloud and have no sync selections selected in the iTunes Info panes for my iDevices.

I changed my primary email and icloud is still set for my old email. I tried deleting my icloud but it aks me for the old password associated with the old email that I don't have anymore. Any other sugestions on how to get icloud to change emails on my ios?

I figured it out! I changed my email & password at the icloud site, then when I deleted the icloud account on my iphone - it still showed my old email but when i typed in my current password it went through. I was then able to sign back in with my current email and password. That was too easy for the amount of time I have put into this!  Glad its finally fixed.

dear sir i buy iphone4s with my friend but he forget icloud email and icloud password so how can i reset it phone now it 1step situation

Without the Apple ID and password the phone was originally activated with, you will not be able to activate the phone. No one here can help you, and neither can Apple. So, unless you or your friend can remember that ID, you will never be able to activate the phone.

  • HT201342 How can I easily merge my .me and .icloud email accounts?

How can I easily merge my .me and .icloud email accounts?

You don't need to merge them - they are already merged as they are exactly the same account. They are just different addresses pointing to the same account.
mende1 has it wrong saying "you receive the same mails on both mail accounts". There is only one mail account. Both email addresses point to the same single email account.

  • What happens to my apps, iTunes card, and iCloud storage if I change my Apple ID?

What happens to my apps, iTunes card, and iCloud storage if I change my Apple ID?

Depends upon what you mean by change.
If you update your existing account to have a new primary email address then you shouldn't lose any of the account's past purchases, balance, or iCloud storage - you may have to log out of the old version of your account by tapping on it in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in with the updated version, and similarly for iCloud (Settings > iCloud > Sign Out).
If you create a new account then your existing account's purchases, balance and iCloud storage will remain tied to the existing account, you can't transfer them to a new account or merge the new account with the old one.

  • Reversing my main email and rescue email on my PC (not MAC)

Reversing my main email and rescue email in Apple on my PC (not MAC)  and iPhone ?

    Hi Sallyarnlover,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  Since your rescue email is already associated with your Apple ID, you'll want to remove it first as per some instructions in this article:
Apple ID: Associating and verifying email addresses with your Apple ID
    http://support.apple.com/kb/he68
Sign in to My Apple ID with the Apple ID that has the email address already associated with it.
Find the email address that you want to move to your preferred Apple ID, then click Delete.
Click Save Changes, then click Sign Out at the top of the page.
Once that's done, this article explains how to change your Apple ID:
Apple ID: Changing your Apple ID
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5621
Make sure that the email address you want to use for your Apple ID meets these conditions:
The email address is one that you use regularly, because it will be the primary email address for your Apple ID.
The email address is not associated with any other Apple ID.
The email address is not an iCloud email address, which is already an Apple ID. iCloud email addresses end with @icloud.com, @me.com, or @mac.com.
    Cheers,

  • AOL Email and BC Email Marketing...

I have written several times about issues with AOL Email and BC Email Marketing. The issues was AOL had horrible delivery rates. Out of 30 emails sent maybe 10 were received.  I know BC has been making several changes and I am happy to say that the deliverability rates for AOL customers has improved greatly. One customer has the emails sent to an AOL email and a Gmail email. Both have had the same delivery rates. Hurray! =>
Kudos to you guys BC and keep up the good work!

Thanks for sharing your findings with the community.
I'll mark your response as correct so everyone can view if experiencing the same deliverablity issues.
    Cheers!

  • My wife and I each have iPads ipods and iPhones on one Apple account . Should we create a new account? What happens to our iTunes ,apps and iCloud? Can we share them? Will we lose any info?

MY wife and I share and Apple ID . We both have iPads, iPods, and iphones
all our purchases in iTunes , apps and iCloud are on this . If we create a new ID for one of us do we lose any of the data and purchased material or do we still share?

I would suggest that one of you retain the existing AppleID and use it for the iTunes Store, iCloud, and Messages on their iOS device and/or Mac accounts.
Then, the other one of you can create a new AppleID.
You then have two choices for how to share your existing store purchases:
    1) You can try the new "Family Sharing" feature: http://www.apple.com/ios/whats-new/family-sharing/
    2) Or you can simply continue to use the original AppleID as your "iTunes Store" login on all of your devices (yours and your wife's), yet use a different AppleID to login to iCloud and Messages.
Family Sharing is supposed to be the solution to the problem and does indeed have some interesting shared features.  However, just using the same iTunes Store login has worked reliable for years.
The important this to realize is that in iOS and Mac OS, the logins for the Apple Store, Messages, and iCloud are all completely separate and can be independently configured.  So, you can each use your own AppleID for login to each of those services.  Just make sure to both login to the iTunes Store service using the same original AppleID.

  • How do I remove my brother's iPhone 5 from my iTunes account and iCloud account?

My brother recently got a new iphone, and is a bit of a technophobe, so I set up his iPhone 5 in my itunes Account and my iCloud account.
Without going into loads of details, I want to set him up his own apple iTunes account, and iCloud account, without removing any of his data, contacts, photos, music, etc. Help, please!!!!!
    Thanks
