Itunes equalizer preset turns off between songs

I updated software to 10.8.2 with th new verzion of Itunes, and have created a preset for my headphones. However, i have to reset the equalizer after every song? The preset is lost? When a new song begins I have to go to the equalizer under window and load it again and pick my preset form the drop-down list?

Do a Get Info on a song (and the album) and see if under Options the Equalizer Preset has been checked.

It's not entirely impossible actually as someone has pointed out to me that I can turn on Call Forwarding and that stops any incoming calls. I've just forwarded it to my google voice number and then turned on "do not disturb" in google voice and whenever I get a call it goes straight to my google voice voicemail and my phone does nothing. The only thing now is I still get text messages but I think the phone calls bugged me more because they would make my music turn off for much longer.
Even though this isn't a perfect solution it's something so far so maybe you shouldn't just come out and say there's NOTHING I can do because so far I've found part of a solution. If you don't have anyting productive to say then just don't reply and close the tab. Thanks.

A similar thing happened when I updated the ios on my ipad. But, I was able to reboot, and then restore from backup.   How can I get my ipod to reboot and allow restore when it is not even recognized as I reconnect to my computer?

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

It should be telling you to download the latest iTunes on your computer... you can't install iTunes on your iPhone.

How to restore deleted iTunes equalizer presets?

I am using iTunes 12 on Windows 8.1 64 bit.
A few years ago, I deleted all the iTunes equalizer presets and made a bunch of custom presets. Despite several upgrades to iTunes, my custom presets have persisted (good on ya Apple). However, I'd like to delete these custom presets and restore the defaults. Is there an easy way to do this without completely erasing my library?

This was not the exact solution for my problem but by misreading your instructions I accidentally found the answer. Just as simple as you suggest. I had already ensured the Crossfade was unchecked in iTunes. What had actually changed with the last software update was the settings on my ipod. I can't believe I never checked this before.
The solution:
ipod settings > Playback
Audio Crossfade = "Off"

I don't even know what that means or how to turn it off, (never seen this message before). Does anyone know how to turn this mode off? I've searched the progam files and all the options and can't seem to find anything.

There's instructions on how to change compatibility mode settings for iTunes in the following document, although there's a couple of additional quirks you need to watch for.
When you get to *step 8* make sure that no boxes are checked in the compatibility mode tab (not just the compatibility mode box itself ... having any box checked in there can cause a compatibility mode error message).

After my update from iPhone OS3 to iOS4 on my iPhone 3G I noticed that single song repeat is turned off when I change songs or go to the next song.
This can be repeated by the following steps:
1. Play a song
2. Choose single song repeat
3. Push "next song"
... notice that now single song repeat is playlist repeat.
Alternately
1. Play a song
2. Choose single song repeat
3. Go back and select a different song.
... single song repeat is now playlist repeat.
Is this the new functionality or a bug?

I'm having a problem turning my ipod off mid-song, I could do it until yesterday and now it makes me exit out of an album and pause it in the main menu? Does anyone know why and how to resolve the issue?

When I'm listening to my IPod and I'm doing anything with large movement involved (skiing, mowing, etc), the song changes if I move my arm or body too much. Is there some way to turn this attribute off?

Turn off shake to shuffle. From the Users Guide:
