ITunes error 13019 occuring

Hey,
Recently my iPod Nano 6th Gen running v1.2 starting throwing up a 13019 error while syncing. It only seems to have occurred since I signed up for iTunes match.
I have followed http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2830 on both a Mac running 10.7.2 w/ iTunes 10.5.2 and a PC running Vista with iTunes 10.5.2.
On both of them I get the error 13019. The odd thing is that when synced with my Mac mini, the music is transferred but the sync ends with the error 13019, and I am unable to access the music via the iPod. When connected to the PC, I am able to transfer the content from the iPod to the PC. When I then try to transfer it back on to the iPod, i get the error 13019.
I have even tried downgrading it to v1.1, and still seem to get the error 13019. I have tried restoring it with v1.2 on both the Mac and PC, but it still eventuates in an error 13019.
I have had no problems transferring music to or from my iPhone or iPad on either computer. Its only the iPod thats giving me grief.
I have no voice memos at all, so my next and last resort is progressively adding music by album or artist in case its some of my tracks giving me grief.
Any thoughts or similar issues would be much appreciated!
Cheers

Update to this:
Fixed the problem! It seems to have occurred from duplicate songs in my library. After displaying all duplicates, I deleted all the excess music. Have synced twice now, and no problems.

I seem to recall that another user has this problem and found that it was because of some corrupted music files they were trying to sync over.
Try syncing smaller bunches of tracks till you come upon the ones that cause the error. You should be able to find out which ones are causing the trouble this way.
The other user said they used something called MP3Diags. I cannot vouch for this software at all, I have never used it.
I did a quick search on "how to repair MP3 files on Mac" and also found this:

  • Error (13019) occurs when syncing...

I am having trouble syncing my iPhone4. There is an error (13019) that keeps popping up. Is it just a setting that I need to change or something more serious? Where can I even find out what this error means?

Ok, thanks for the input. I followed all the directions offered by apple. I even reinstalled iTunes. Finally I eventually restored my iPhone and that seemed to do the trick. Hope this may help with anyone who has a similar problem.

  • Error 13019 occurs when trying to sync iphone

i just updated the newest version today 09/17 for my iphone 3gs. Now when I sync it it wont finish, it says an unknown error occurred (13019)
    HELP?!

My iPhone just started doing that error now also. Except mine didn't occur until I upgraded to Snow Leopard.
I recently updated iTunes to 9.0.2 that was available yesterday. No luck still, still get the error. I uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled, still same issue. I reformatted the iPhone back to factory. Still same issue. I'm not quite sure where the issue lies.
All my software is up-to-date. I even hacked my iPhone's firmware still get this error.

hope one of you lovely lot can help me out.
I receieved my upgraded iphone on friday and so far have been unable to register it. I plug it into laptop and it asks me to update itunes/phone software, during the install i get a hardware error message "the software you are installing for this hardware DVD/CD has not passed windows logo testing" and will not be installed properly.
It then continues to install but advises its not complete.
The phone then wants to restore and i get another error message "the phone could not be restored an unknown error occurred 1601"
I have searched the web and tried all sorts to resolve it uninstalling itunes and reinstalling, manual restore with the buttons on the phone, i have also tried on another PC and i get the same problem on both!!!! and to top it off im not the only one with this issue in our household my boyfriend's iphone was working fine until the latest itunes came out and his phone also went into restore mode with the same error message, we some how managed to get his phone working but only by syncing it with another pc however he has lost all his contacts apps and data.
sorry for rambling on but i have tried to include all of the issues in the hope someone can help me.
    cheers in advance! x

The above post has nothing to do with error 1601 and includes hacking methods for jailbroken phones - to "restore with the new custom firmware you created."

  • Whenever I try to sync my iPod touch, a window appears and says that my iPod wasn't synced because an unknown error has occured (13019). Help?

Any suggestions on what I can do to fix the problem?
I've also noticed that it started deleting some of the music on my iPod touch, and so everything on it is screwed up.
I don't want to restore it because then I'll lose all the information on my apps. (Is there any way to recover that information along with the apps?) If I do restore it, will there be a chance that the error will occur again, otherwise I would have lost everything for nothing.
By the way, the software version of my iPod is 3.1, it's 2nd gen., and my iTunes version is very far behind from the new version currently available. Could that be part of the problem, too?

    Try here:
    iTunes: Error 13019 during sync
Not updating the iOS should not effect your problem.
As long as all the apps are in the iTunes library, you will not lose app data by updating the iOS.

  • I keep getting a message when I try to sync music onto my ipod that says "iPod cannot be synced. An unknown error has occured (13019)"

I've never ever had this problem before; it's only been the last few days. Every time I try to take music from my library and put it on my iPod, the message always comes up that says, "iPod cannot be synced. An unknown error has occured (13019). What should I do? This has never happened before!

  • "cannot be synced. An unknown error has occured. (13019)"

When I connect my iPod touch to iTunes there are several songs and videos that are apparently on my iPod (it says they're on the device). Then when I go on my iPod, they aren't there. I tried syncing but everytime I try to do so it says "Cannot be synced. An unknown error has occured. (13019)" I've tried restarting my computer, restarting the iPod, using a different computer, everything. Oh, and I put 96 new songs onto the iPod via iTunes successfully last night. Help!?

    Hi breakingbenjamin27,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If you see an "error 13019" when trying to sync content to your iPod touch, be sure to try these steps:
The error will most commonly occur while syncing music. This issue can be resolved by following these steps:
Select the device name in iTunes under Devices.
Click the Music tab and under the Sync music option, choose Selected playlists.
    Deselect the Voice Memos playlist.
Click Apply and then click Sync.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, check the device and the iTunes library for duplicate voice memos. If you find any duplicate voice memos, delete the duplicates and then sync.If those steps do not resolve the issue, then follow these steps:
Select the device name in iTunes under Devices.
Click the Music tab and deselect the Sync Music option.
Click Apply and then click Sync.
After the sync is complete, reselect the Sync Music option.
Click Apply and then click Sync.
You can find these steps in the article found here:
