Error 9812
Recall I was having this problem with ITunes. I decided to cruise some of the Apple help forums to see what I could find, turns out a few other people were having the same problem. Finally some kind soul found the fix and posted it in the forum!
Here is the fix (for anyone that might stumble upon my site)
To register the DLL files, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, click Run, type regsvr32 softpub.dll in the Open box, and then click OK. When you receive the message that the DllRegisterServer succeeded, click OK.
2. Click Start, click Run, type regsvr32 initpki.dll in the Open box, and then click OK. When you receive the message that the DllRegisterServer succeeded, click OK.
3. Click Start, click Run, type regsvr32 mssip32.dll in the Open box, and then click OK. When you receive the message that the DllRegisterServer succeeded, click OK.
4. Click Start, click Run, type regsvr32 wintrust.dll, click OK, and then click OK when you receive the message that the DllRegisterServer succeeded.

    Now hear this:
Since about six months I have the same problem with my account ( "itunes could not connect to the itunes store the network connection was reset", bla, bla.Sometimes with the error code).I am able to access itunes and can browse the store. But when I try to sign in I get the message "iTunes could not connect to the iTune store". I am also unable to buy any songs.
BUT ONLY WITH MY Cube (10.4.8)! Using my daughter's iMac G5 next room, sharing the same Internet connection, it always works!
And then I also cannot de-authorize the computer!!!
I have checked the network configurations on both (Cube and G5), they are the same and in "proxies" the setting is "manually" but no proxy is checkmarked.
So, it is NOT an ISP issue, it is not a network configuration issue,… WHAT IS IT??

Something like this happened to me, where something went wrong on Apple's end and a movie I rented wouldn't play. I contacted Apple over the phone and they gave me back my money and fixed the problem for future use.

  • Itunes error code 1007 Audible

itunes error code 1007 everytime I try to authourise my audible account. tried new itunes install. even new windows 7 and itunes reinstall? Please help!

I looked at the "More Like This" and found it utterly and completely useless.  It links me to a generic "What is error 1007", "iPhone problems", "Printing from HP LaserJet 1007", "Hardware test error code - 1007d? What does it mean??" and on and on a list of useless entires about error code 1007 that don't deal with itunes and audible.
I've searched the forums, searched google, searched Audible Forums.  I spend a couple hours reading and searching forums and while others either hinted at or mentioned possible half solutions (the files loaded onto my ipod from itunes but don't show in the itunes library) and found lots of listings dealing with other itunes & audible error codes, none of them dealt with this code specifically or with itunes 11,  Lots of half solutions and guessing.  I wasn't able to find a complete solution listed for this problem on either apple forums or audible forums.
So out of frustration, once I wiped it all clean and started from fresh, here was the solution I found that worked for me.  Only after I reinstalled the Audible Download Manager and downloaded a new audible audio file, letting iTunes and Audible do their collectiive DRM crosstalk, was I able to then authorize audible on itunes and then drag and drop my previously downloaded audible files into itunes.  They show up properly and copy to my iPod without problem.  Anything less and I got the 1007 error and a message that iTunes wasn't installed properly and that it needed to be reinstalled.
Don't know if it will work for everyone but it worked for me.

  • Please help -can't uninstall or install iTunes  - Error code 2330

I tried to open up iTunes 9.1.1 today and got a message that windows was trying to configure iTunes. Midway through, i got an error message: "An error occurred while attempting to create directory: C:\documents and settings\all users\application data\apple computer\iTunes\SC info.
So i then tried to download the new version of iTunes (9.2), and got a message that "the installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with the package. The error code is 2330."
Then I followed the trouble shooting steps on the support site - deleted the Temp folder and then tried to uninstall 9.1.1. I received the same 2330 error message.
Doing a search of error 2330 on this forum, I saw people recommending running a Chkdsk which I did. This repaired some errors, but it didn't help with the installation, I got the same error message.
I have tried to call Apple support but apparently they don't support iTunes unless you're running it on a MAC. I'm upset and frustrated and at my wits end. I know next to nothing about computers, which doesn't help ;o) I'd be grateful for any suggestions...

    Many thanks.
Okay, either the SCInfo directory (or the iTunes directory above it) has gotten damaged in some way. iTunes is detecting that when you try to launch it, and it is trying to do a repair install in order to try to repair the damage. But the damage in your case is enough to stop the repair install from going through. The same damage will be stuffing up the attempts to uninstall/reinstall/update iTunes.
There's an alternate strategy we can try to get around this in cases where chkdsk can't fix the damage. But first we're going to have to adjust some view settings on the PC, because your damage is lurking down in directories that are hidden by default on Windows XP systems.
    1. Open My Computer from the desktop or Start menu.
    2. In the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
    3. Click the View tab.
    4. In the "Advanced settings" pane under "Hidden files and folders" make sure that the "Show hidden files and folders" option is selected.
    5. Click OK.
Now we'll see to the file.
In My Computer, open your C drive.
Open the "Documents and Settings" folder.
    Open the "All users" folder.
    Open the "Application Data" folder.
    Open the "Apple Computer" folder.
    Rename the "iTunes" folder "iTunesOLD".
Restart the PC. Now try launching iTunes again. Does the repair install go through properly this time?
(If the iTunes Setup Assistant runs, don't add files to your library. Otherwise you may end up with a lot of duplicates in your library.)
If you get iTunes launching again, check to see if any purchased music is still playing, and if any iPods/iPhones/AppleTVs etc are connecting properly. (We've forced iTunes to rebuild configuartion files and an iPodDevices.xml that affect some iTunes DRM/authorisation-related and device-connection-related machinery. So I reckon it's possible you might at least need to reauthorise some songs or apps or games after iTunes launches again.)

  • I can't activate iTunes-Error Code 600

When I try to activate iTunes, the message on my screen mentions Error Code 600. I'm sure the problem was caused because I tried to import too many songs (200+) for a 1GB iPod Nano. While iTunes was converting the last song to the AAC format, it suddenly stopped. It's my fault, but I had assumed tht I would be warned when I got into dangerous territory. Anyway, how do I fix it until I buy a Nano with a much larger capacity. I will, because I'm having so much fun with the thing. I even go around wearing a headphone into which I plug the Nano, even though I'm 68 years old. Doesn't seem quite right for someone my age, but who cares? I like my music.
