Itunes error message regarding DVD and CD importing
I get an error message that reads, "The registry settings used by itunes drivers for importing and burning CD's and DVD's are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall itunes. I have re-installed the software and updated it to the most current version and am still getting the error. What software might cause this error?
Sam
okay, first let's try a reboot and repair.
reboot the PC (very important), and then do a repair install of itunes. go to your Add/Remove programs, select itunes, click "change/remove", and select "repair".
if no joy with that, download and reinstall the GEAR drivers itunes uses for burning and importing.
GEAR drivers
use the first link on that page, not the one that talks about gearsec compatibility. if you've got Norton Ghost on your PC, read the instructions on that page very carefully. if you still run into trouble with Ghost, see this Symantec troubleshooting document:
Message: "Insert the "Norton Ghost 10.0" disk and click OK." after installing iTunes 6

The other day my iMesasges stopped working so I plugged my phone into my laptop (windows) to update through iTunes. I tried to update it, but when the update was almost done an error message popped up. Now the phone will only turn on with the plug into itunes picture on the screen. iTunes will not recognize the phone -- I turned my laptop off multiple times. I've done every one of these steps multiple times http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1275 and nothing has worked. What can I do?
Hello Saphira0823,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

I was recently prompted to update my Itunes player to the latest version. I'm using Windows Vista. I was left with an error message MSVCR80.dll and consequently no new update. I uninstalled the old version and have tried to reinstall manually several times. No luck. Consequently I have no player.
Any ideas for a fix?Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.
HT1925: Removing and Reinstalling iTunes for Windows XP
HT1923: Removing and reinstalling iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8

My iTunes will not start. The box on the error message APSDaemon.exe, And message says "This application failed to start because MSVC80.dll was not found. Reinstalling may fix." I did the reinstall and I get the same error. The error first happened after I approved the an iTurns update.
Same problem today. Took five times to reinstall without any error messages. Apple has posted a way to fix and you should follow their's first. I finally got to upldate correctly by doing their fix but with one difference. I did the following:
1) Went to the C:\program files (x86)\iTunes and C:\program files\iTunes folders and moved every file ending in .dll to the desktop (even if two files in same location had the same name, just replace)
2) Restarted computer and still got error message
3) Uninstalled all apple programs possible in the following order......itunes, apples software update, apple mobile device support, bonjour, and apple application support.....all performed using the microsoft control panel
4) put all the .dll files on the desktop in the trash and emptied (this is a step apple support did not specifically put in their fix but for a final try I wanted to delete everything apple).
5) Restarted computer.
6) Re-installed itunes from apple website
No error messages during re-install and was able to open shortcut in one try. Even updated my ipad to make sure everything was working. -
When I open itunes to play content I've already purchased and while attempting to view trailers for movies in the itunes store, I receive a generic error message from windows, and I'm directed to reinstall the latest version of itunes. Not a fix. Help?
after perusing other subjects with playback issues:
this is the fix:
-Launch Control Panel - Double click Quicktime, If you do not see quicktime, look on the top left side of control panel and switch to classic view. This will then allow you to see Quicktime.
-Now click the advanced tab and click on Safe Mode GDI Only, Apply, then ok. -
I am getting the following error message when I try to import photos into iPhoto from my camera: "/private/var/folders/GB/GBl4wh8-ELqUVMI5dO-ryU TI/-Tmp-/iPhoto/DSCF2033.JPG". Have already tried removing and reinstalling iPhoto to no avail.
Does this happen if you try to Import to Library within iPhoto, or is it when you connect your camera (and which is set to automatically use iPhoto) that this error message occurs?
If you open Image Capture > Preferences is iPhoto selected as the choice when a camera is connected? -

I upgraded my iphone 5 to iOS 8 and now i get an itunes error message when I try to sync "this iphone cannot be synced. Unknown error. (-50). my icloud drive was stuck in an upgrade cycle, but i've stopped that and still get the error message.
I restarted itunes and tried again (based on a similar question/solution from 2012).
I don't get the error message anymore, but it's really sort of odd that after step one of sync, it looks as if sync stopped, and then all of a sudden you see step 4 of sync.
Also before the upgrade I had 7+ gigs of space free and after the upgrade I have 10 gigs free. seems like something is amiss, but it's not like I have anyway of determining that. -
itunes error message "file cannot be found..." I know the file is somewhere since I find it when I do a system search and it plays, but can't get itunes to see it. Any help?
Hello pwithero,

If my Adobe Muse and Air apps are both up to date (as of today) and I cannot open a Muse file, what are my options? While Muse is relinking assets I get an error message regarding the Progress Window "showing" and then Muse crashes.
Hi there,
Do you get this error while opening a particular file or all files?
Please try opening a different .muse file, and check if it does the same?
Ar you opening a .muse which is saved on a network drive?
Thanks. -
Im trying to import a large amount of pictures to Iphoto. I have pleanty of space on my HD. But half way thru the transfer an error message comes up and says not enough disc space. How can I fix this?
I. I want to import 58.64 GB of Photos from an external HD
2. I have 278.28 GB space left on my HD
3. The exact error message goes like this......
Insufficient Disk Space
iPhoto cannot import your photos because
there is not enough free space on the
volume containing your iPhoto library
I Have researched this and most advice is to empty the iPhoto trash. I have already done this and it did not help.
Thank you for helping
