ITunes error message when I try to sync

The ipod -Name- is synced with another iTunes library. Do you want to erase this iPod and sync with this iTunes library?
This error message shows up on my computer when I try to sync. I do have iTunes on my laptop and on my desktop. Could this be the problem? I already backed up my iPod. But what I'm worried about is all my pictures on my ipod if I restore my iPod will they all be deleted? See, all I really want to do is take some cds I bought and put their music on my iPod. What do you think I should do?

You can only sync an iPod to one iTunes library. If you sync the iPod to another library, such as another computer, iTunes will erase the iPod.
Just continue to sync with the other computer.

I restarted itunes and tried again (based on a similar question/solution from 2012).
I don't get the error message anymore, but it's really sort of odd that after step one of sync, it looks as if sync stopped, and then all of a sudden you see step 4 of sync.
Also before the upgrade I had 7+ gigs of space free and after the upgrade I have 10 gigs free. seems like something is amiss, but it's not like I have anyway of determining that.

HT1386 I get an error message when I try to sync my iPod touch - "you do not have enough access privileges for this operation"

I recently installed a new hard drive on my PC, downloaded iTunes, updated the software on my iPod touch and now I get this error message when I try to sync: "you do not have enough access privileges for this operation." It never did this before, whether it's the upgrade in software or something in iTunes, but it's very frustrating, since I'd like to add more things to my iPod.

Error -50 is a very unhelpful generic communications error with a number of possible causes. Something between the drive to which you are downloading and the drive from which it is all coming is not working correctly, which probably leaves several hundred options.

You need iTunes version 10.7 for iOS 6. That requires and OSX 10.6 and that requires an Intel Mac
