Itunes error please reply

I've tried to download itunes like ten times, but I keep getting "A network error occurred while attempting to read from the file C:\WINDOWS\Installer\Quicktime.msi".

Disable your antivirus and security programs and try installing iTUnes.
If that doesn't work disable antivirus/security programs and install the stand alone version of Quicktime "Quicktime WITHOUT iTUnes" here then install itunes afterwards http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html

  • ITunes error: Please wait while windows configures iTunes

Hello, since I changed my Win XP account to limited, I can't start my iTunes without getting the following error message:
iTunes error: Please wait while windows configures iTunes
It gathers information and then prompts me to restart. If I restart, it does it all over again.
If I give the account administrative access, it works just fine, but when I downgrade to limited again the problem starts all over again. I've give full access to the iTunes folder in Program files.
    Any thoughts?

See if it will start without configuring everything directly from the itunes.exe in the limited account.
    C:/Program Files/iTunes
Sometimes a shortcut problem can cause that, although I haven't heard of it being associated with a limited account.

  • ITUNES -- APPLE Please reply to this question

My computer power supply shorted and wiped out my harddrive in which I could not get any information out of it to save it. I have had problems with itunes in which I was unable to copy those items to dvd. I spend a lot of money on itunes and was wondering if support can help me retrieve my music videos, music and movies I had purchased. Please give me an email address I can contact someone personally or a telephone number. I purchased these items and since i spend a lot of money on Itunes I feel that as a regular customer I should at least be able to redownload these music videos, music, and movies if my hard drive ever failed.

You are NOT addressing Apple here. This is a user forum.
It is your responsibility to backup your music/videos,etc.
You can click "Support" at the top of this page and follow the link to itunes store support, if you would like to e-mail them, but failing to backup your purchases is not a great excuse.

  • Itunes Error -50. Please help!

    Hello,
I just recently bought the iPhone 4, and I was planing on bringing it home and putting my entire music library onto it. i placed the sync and went to bed (the camping was taking its toll on me). when I woke up, i checked itunes and one song could not be sync due to an error -50. does anyone know how to solve this? please reply.

Perhaps try the "Error -50," "-5000," "8003," "8008," or "-42023" section in the Specific Conditions and Alert Messages: (Mac OS X / Windows) section of the following document:

It says this when I try to open iTunes:
Apple Application Support was not found.
Apple Application Support is required to run iTunes. Please uninstall iTunes, then install iTunes again.
    Error 2
I've tried uninstalling it and installing it several times. I've tried to download Apple Application Support separately but it just says:
An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT,version="8.0.50727.4... Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT:0x800736FD

You have missing information in your Windows programming.
You need to repair your computer so it can run iTunes.  If you plug those error codes into your browser you may get an answer.

    Hello.
Certain types of software can affect the way a computer sends and receives information from the Internet. This article may help you resolve the issue:
Information about error -50 and downloading videos
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1583
If it did not work, contact iTunes Store via (http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/) and/or Apple Tech Support via 1-800-275-2273.

  • I keep getting the follow error messages when I try to sign into iTunes store or redeem a song code: We could not complete your iTunes store request. The network connection could not be established. There was an error in the iTunes store, please try again

I keep getting the following error messages on my Mac when I try to redeem a song code: "We could not complete your iTunes store request. The network connection could not be established. There was an error in the iTunes store, please try again later."  and then, "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (-50)."

    Hello, constance132.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Here are some troubleshooting steps that I could recommend when receiving error -50.
    "Error -50," "-5000," "8003," "8008," or "-42023"
These alerts occur due to timeouts or conflicts trying to write a file during download.
If you encounter this issue while accessing iTunes Store:
See iTunes 9: "One Moment Please" or "Error (-50)" message when accessing iTunes Store
If you encounter this issue while while downloading something from the iTunes Store:
Delete your iTunes Downloads folder, located in:
    Mac OS X:
~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Downloads   Note: "iTunes Media" may appear as "iTunes Music. Also, the tilde (~) refers to your Home directory.
    Windows Vista:
  \Users\username\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Downloads\
    Windows 7:
  \Users\username\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Downloads\
    Windows XP:
  \Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Downloads\
After locating your iTunes Downloads folder:
    Quit iTunes.
Delete the Downloads folder on your computer.
    Open iTunes.
Choose Store > Check for Available Downloads.
Enter your account name and password.
If you encounter this issue while while downloading Digital Copies using Windows:
Use MSCONFIG (directions for Windows XP and Windows Vista/Windows 7) to disable conflicting software.
If using MSCONFIG steps resolves the issue, you may want to use the System Configuration Utility to turn on the third-party System Services and Startup Items one at a time (restarting your computer after turning on the item or items) to identify which System Service or Startup Item is causing the conflict.
You can turn all of them back on by selecting the Normal Startup option under the General tab of the System Configuration Utility window, but please note that this may cause the issue to reoccur.
If you are able to isolate the issue to a particular third-party software, you may wish to contact them to let them know of the conflict.

  • HT1926 Have the same problem as many other users: tried to update iTunes on Windows 7 today; first message "unable to locate component- MSVCR80.dll was not found" then "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes - Error 7 (Windows error 1

I have the same problem as many other users: updated iTunes on Windows 7 on Jan 26, 2014 and iTunes does not open.  First message "unable to locate component- MSVCR80.dll was not found" then "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes - Error 7 (Windows error 126)". When will Apple fix this? Don’t feel like uninstalling all Apple software and then re-installing it as suggested, as I am on a terribly slow internet connection while travelling in the DR Congo.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall press on)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

I took the time to research it and come across a couple of people who experienced the same trouble and so I listed some of there steps(with Credits) and  some people said that they worked.

OK, this worked for me:( Original Post by r0tt3n4pp13)
    1. Save iTunes install file to your desktop.
    2. Disconnect from internet.
    3. Disable Firewall/Security software.
    4. Run install. Note that it installs Application Support and a bunch of other software this time.
    5. Run iTunes.
    6. Enable Firewall/Security software.
    7. Reconnect to internet.
    8. Download Watchmen Director's Cut post haste.
    OR!
    (Original post by Cr4z33)
    1. Download and install WinRAR.
    2. Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe icon and choose "Open with WinRAR".
    3. Once the EXE is opened in WinRAR, double-click AppleApplicationSupport.msi and when the installer window is open choose "Repair".
    4. Done! You can now run iTunes normally.

I have multiple Apple IDs. Is there a way for me to merge them into a single Apple ID?
Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.
