Itunes.exe and itunesHelp give errors as they are accessing the visual C runtime library incorrectly

Hi,
Itunes updated and my windows has problems with it. The error message  says that itunes.exe and ituneshelp.exe both are failing to access the Microsoft Visual C runtime library correctly on startup. This happens even after uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes on my Windows 7 PC. I would really appreciate a solution to this as I now cannot get iTunes to work at all.

Hello Aberpotter,
It sounds like you are unable to launch iTunes due to this runtime error you are getting. I recommend the troubleshooting from the following article named:
iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows: Unable to install or open
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376
"Runtime Error: R6034 - An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly"
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
All the very best,
Sterling

  • I cant uninstall my itunes off my computer, i have followed instructions and i still have errors, including error 2330 and redundance cyclic. the only software i have left is itunes.exe and file es.lproj which is located in the ituneshelpresources folder

I cant uninstall my itunes off my computer, i have followed instructions and i still have errors, including error 2330 and redundance cyclic. the only software i have left is itunes.exe and file es.lproj which is located in the ituneshelpresources folder. i recently installed a second hard drive and that let me uninstall everything. I just want to get itunes off my computer and reinstall itunes, i have deleted everything i can and i ran "chkdsk" this did nothing. I would have just updated the oild itunes to the newest version but it didnt ley me do that. installing/ uninstalling or deleting just lets me get half way and shows me these errors. Please help, thank you.

the only software i have left is itunes.exe and file es.lproj which is located in the ituneshelpresources folder.
If the chkdsk isn't fixing the damage, and those are the only iTunes that can't be deleted, try renaming the "iTunes" folder that they are contained in (in your Program files) to iTunesOLD.
Now try another install. Does it go through without the 2330 this time?

  • Itunes will not open and says R6034 an application has made an attempt to load runtime library incorrectly, I tried to load it twice but nothing

Itunes will not open, it says R6034 an application has made an attempt to load C runtime library incorrectly, then it says service apple mobil device failed to start

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

    @RAcuna1
It's better to consult Apple support
    http://www.apple.com/in/support/
The problem maybe due to corrupt package from their download.

  • I downloaded some video podcasts on ipad 3 and do not know where they are on the ipad

I downloaded a couple of video podcasts from the store.  It showed them downloading.  After they were done I can not locate them.  They are not in the video app and they are not in the itunes app. Where else might they be?

As you can see, video podcasts are supposed to appear in the Video app.
There is something amiss with your iPad. Try a reset. Press & hold the Power and Home buttons simultaneously, ignoring the red power off slider, until the Apple logo appears. Then release both buttons. This should not affect any content on the iPad, it is similar to rebooting your computer.
If that does not resolve your issue then try restoring to the factory settings. After that you can restore it to a previous backup, which could again propagate the issue, or set it up as a new iPad.

  • Trying to install latest iTunes update. Keep getting a message "Microsoft Visual C     Runtime Library" incorrect. How do I fix this?

I am trying to install the lastest iTunes update. I keep getting a message that the program is trying to access run time library. I believe it means that there is a part of the iTunes program that is not compatible with Windows. Can anyone advise how to fix this?

    Try the following user tip:
Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates

  • The latest update has resulted in a runtime error (R6034) and I keep being told Microsoft Visual C   Runtime Library is being accessed incorrectly.  Anyone know how to overcome the problem?  I am using a Dell Inspiron  9400 running Vista.

The latest update to itunes has resulted in a whole series of runtime errors (R6034).  Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library states it is being accessed incorrectly.  I am also told that Apple Mobile Device Failed to Start.  Additional messages suggest the error is in itunes.exe and ituneshelper.exe.  I also get Error 7 (Windows error 1114).  Anyone got any ideas how to overcome this (these) problems?

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

Have you sent PaulRB a private message with your crash logs and reports? Try that out and see if you can get a response (make sure you reference this thread).
If you don't hear back, I would recommend reposting your issue in new thread with some more details specific to your application. This thread has been relatively inactive and you might get better exposure by starting fresh.

I keep getting the same runtime error when I've tried to upgrade to the latest version of iTunes. Have also tried to access iTunes support and it tells me I don't have the latest version of Internet Explorer so I can't get to them. Frustrating because I just upgraded to IE 11. Have followed directions to uninstall and have tried to delete the files manually but I get a message saying they can't be deleted.

Okay ... so it's not one of the cases of bodged up ACLs on the Apple folder in Common Files. (That's been underlying a few of the recalcitrant E7W5s.
