ITunes exits everytime I try to access music store!

Everytime I try to access the music store, iTunes exits.
No error message, no nothing. I am running iTunes 7.0.1.8
and I have no fire wall. Can anyone please help me figure
out what the problem is?
Thanks,
Anthony

I'm sorry, but it still doesn't work. I deleted all Apple software off my computer and redownleaded the latest version of iTunes, but when I tried to sign in I still got this error:

I just recently downloaded iTunes and whenever I try to access the store It says "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. An unknown error occurred (0x80096004). I have windows xp and it's running on service pack 2. I have downloaded and redownloaded iTunes many times. I'm getting very frustrated!  Please help!

I have the same error for Windows Vista.  I read all the community posts and followed the suggested fixes including numerous uninstalls and installs, clearing cache, choosing various SSL TL options, turning off all spyware and nothing has worked.  My internet works fine for all my other programs so not sure what is going on with Itunes.  I will not buy anymore products through
    Apple Itunes.

  • Help. iTunes error everytime I try to download music to my ipod

    I have 2 questions:
    1. The first time I connected my iPod iTunes and Windows and began to transfer music onto my iPod. However, after uploading about 250 songs it make the sound meaning I had unplugged the USB device which is not the case. When I plugged in my iPod again it had changed it's name on itunes from "Matt Coleman's iPod" to "MATT COLEMA" and won't transfer music at all. Even if I eject during the update or if I only update one playlist onto the ipod.
    2. Everytime I plug in my iPod I get this message:"The file directory \iPod_control\iTunes\iTunesDB is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the Chkdsk utility." I don't know what the Chkdsk utility is or how to run it(I assume it means check disk).
    Please Help! Thank you.

i have had this problem too...
Try setting your ipod into "DFU Mode"?
    instructions:
    -open iTunes
    -plug iPod into your computer
-press and hold "Power/Standby & Home" buttons untill your device restarts
-then release the "Power/Standby" but continue to hold "Home"
    - your iPod will be sent into DFU Mode (Manufacture Reset)
Note: if you choose to cancel, press and hold "Power/Standby & Home" buttons untill your device restarts then it will resume with no lost data and best works if you have a restore point in iTunes (Back-up)

  • ITunes crashes whenever I try to access the store?

I have Windows 7 and the latest version of iTunes. Upon startup, iTunes prompts me to sign in twice, and closing the first prompt will only have the second one brought up seconds later. Signing in has the same effect. This is annoying, but not the important part.
The important part is that whenever I try to access to iTunes Store, signed in or not, iTunes crashes.
These are the Problem Details from my Control Panel's Action Center.

  • ITunes crashes when I try to access the store?

It worked perfectly fine before I updated to 10.5, now whenever I click on the Store button, it starts to load. When the progress bar at the top of the screen reaches half way, a Windows dialogue box comes up and says "iTunes has stopped working" and I must close the program there. This isn't to do with the 3200 error, I have updated to iOS5 fine.
I have tried reinstalling/repairing iTunes to no avail. The only over program I have installed is Connectify, which I have now uninstalled. Still nothing. Can you please help me? Thanks

Yes thanks I uninstalled all of Apple's products from my computer and did a clean reinstall, seemed to do the trick

  • HELP!  Unknown Error (-50) when accessing Music Store

When I try to access Music Store I get the following error message:
"We could not complete your Music Store request. An unknown error occured (-50). There was an error in the music store. Please try again later."
I have had this for several days. I have re-installed the software and the latest version of i-tunes. My firewall is set to permit i-tunes. Can anyone help?

hmmmm. the rules for that are different depending on whether you're trying to get to music or videos.
if it's related to music, see:
iTunes for Windows: Error (-50) or (403) occurs when accessing the iTunes Music Store
    ... and:
iTunes for Windows: Music Store - Using With Internet Filters or Accelerators
but if it's related to videos, see:

With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:

(If there's a SpeedBit LSP showing up in Autoruns, it's usually best to just uninstall your SpeedBit Video Accelerator.)

I have tons of music on itunes , but everytime i try to select it says "the original file cannot be found, would you like to try and locate it" i have no idea what happened to all of my music  any tips? i have a dell windows vista..  thanks !

Basically, the computer thinks the music is 'lost'. Follow the prompts and try to locate it. It should navigate to the files and redraw the links which should make that pop up go away
