ITunes extras from a digital download?

Just noticed that of the dozen or so movies I have in iTunes, I can't access the extras for just about all of them. Is there a step I'm missing? Do you not get the extras if you are using a code from a digital copy? I've seen a few other people post with this same issue but I've yet to find a solution that fixes it.

Error when downloading itunes extra from icloud

I purchased 2 movies from itunes and wanted to put them on my kids ipods and iphone, but i can't. The movies will not go into the ipod (nano), I get a message that says that i need to download the full movie content before syncing. I've tried to but the only thing that dowloads is the movie the rest (itunes extra content) will not download.

When I downloaded a digital copy of Despicable Me 2 I saw the movie and the separate "iTunes Extras" downloading. However, it seemed to get stuck on "processing". After restarting the "extras" have disappeared. Any way to get them back?

It will depend upon if the rights-holder keeps the film in your country's store, but you shouldn't rely on being able to do so - you should be keeping and maintaining your own backup copy of all of your downloads from the store, you are only guaranteed one download of each item.

Hey Folks! How do I permanently delete iTunes extras from downloading every time I download something new?

I have downloaded movies from iTunes store and those movies come with an automatic download of iTunes extras (which I don't want). I stop the downloads of the iTunes extras and delete them, but everytime I download anything NEW from the iTunes store the OLD iTunes extras automatically pick up and start downloading again even though I've previously stopped and deleted them? Very frustrating! I've searched many forums and across the interweb but haven't found anything that works. Help???

The itunes extras for movies never downloads for the copies with DVDs bought, Why?

When I redeem free digital from a DVD I bought and most of the time it comes up with itunes extra. And the itunes extra never downloads always post error but yet the actual movie downloads? What is the problem?

By the way, I just purchased this movie last night. I somehow deleted Cars while the other parts of the bundle were still downloading. I tried looking into iClod but I was unable to find a link to download the movie again.

But its HD and won't play unless my hardware all jumps through DHCP hoops, which being windows xp it won't.
Usually you can go to the itunes stroea nd get the SD version, but i don't seem to have that option.

Not all digital copies include the SD version of the movie. But try this, if this isn't the procedure you've been following:
On the main iTunes Store page, go to Purchases under the Quick Links and then select Movies. Click the "Not On This Computer" button. Uncheck the "Download HD when available" box and you may then see the SD copies of the movie and be able to download it.
If not, then the movie studio may not have been willing to license both versions for the digital copy and for a Blu-Ray disk are providing only the HD version. You can contact the studio and ask.

First your Mac is going to need to read the external drive.
Mac's can read exFAT (since 10.6.5), FAT32 and HFS+ (Mac format) external drives.
I'm going to assume your drive is formatted NTFS, the Windows format that is also on the boot drive of Windows machines.
For that your need to install a free piece of software on the Mac here (bookmark this page!)
NTFS Mounter (for WindowsNTFSdrives)
That will allow your Mac to read the NTFS formatted drive. You then get all your files off that you want to save.

Once you have gotten all your files off, in the Applications/Utilities folder on the Mac is a program called Disk Utility and it looks like this.
You select your external drive on the left and click Erase > Format > exFAT and click Erase. A warning will pop up and you say ok.
The exFAT format can be read on both Windows PC's and Mac's. Allows for large file sizes over 4GB.
Now this format is for going between Windows and a Mac. Windows Vista and 7 can read this format fine, if you have XP you need to download a free update for exFAT from Microsoft (its easy to find, just search for "exFAT XP microsoft")
Now! however there has been one report that the exFAT formatted on a Mac didn't work on the PC. So if that happens, just format the drive exFAT on Windows first, then the Mac should see it. So check first before doing anything and have a copy of the data elsewhere just in case.
Now if you intend to use the external drive for TimeMachine or a Carbon Copy Cloner/Superduper clone (like "Ghosting") of the OS X boot drive, then you need to format the drive HFS+ journaled in Disk Utility and it cant' be read natively in most cases by a PC unless you install adiditonal software on the PC. (and likely the PC can't read a TimeMachine drive, I don't know I haven't tried it, so your on your own on that)

ITunes Song from iCloud corrupted download

I recently downloaded some songs from the recent Maroon 5 Album "Overexposed". I normally download all the songs I want onto my main music device which is an iPhone 4s running iOS 6.1.1, I would then sync my iPhone with my 2012 Windows 7 Ultimate PC running the latest iTunes version to get the songs backed up incase of any issues.
While all the songs synced and downloaded perfectly as expected, I noticed that 2 songs, "Lucky Strike" and "Doin Dirt" had not. I decided it was best to click the iCloud Download button next to the song name in my library in order to get the song (which normally fixes the problem and the songs play fine). After clicking said button I noticed the download bar would complete then restart and complete again at least 3 times before stopping, not downloading and then bringing up a dialog box that says, [There was a problem downloading ____ song, The file seems to be corrupted, please check the "Check for available downloads" in the store menu"]
I go to the store menu and click the "Check for available downloads" and nothing comes up to show I have those 2 songs ready to download. I have also gone back to the album and tried to download the songs again only to find them grayed out with purchased next to the popularity bar. I have also contacted apple support 2 times in the last day and they refunded me the money and gave me song credits to try the download process straight from my PC instead of my iPhone and I downloaded both songs again only to have the same problem.
The only thing I haven't tried in fear of loosing everything is deleting the iTunes program and redownloading it but idk if any of my movies, games, and other media will still be there since I don't have everything on my iPhone. I would also like to point out that my phone has the songs and they work fine with no problems.
Please help with any tips or tricks to fix this.

When you delete the local track are you removing the original and the listing from iTunes.

I have this problem also - tried following advice giving from original problem.
My settings are through the what I call the Lug Nut icon - no arrows and no dimple showing on my screen.
Is there some small thing I'm missing here - weird thing is that iDVD allows me to access my iTunes library - no problem.
When I go to Finder it tells it can't find my Music folder??? I can see it in the sidebar .....
Any suggestions - I don't know how to send those screen shots but what a great idea.

You say that 'the only that got downloaded was the iTunes extras' - have you ever download the actual film ? If not then does the Store > Check For Available Downloads menu option on your Mac's iTunes find it ? If that doesn't find it then see if it shows in the 'redownloading' area under Quicklinks :
Whether you can redownload the film depends upon what country that you are in, and if the studio/rights-holder allows redownloading. Does the film appear under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your Mac's iTunes

Can't Watch iTunes Extras....

I have 2 movies that have iTunes Extras included, Talladega Nights and The DiVinci Code. Both can be watched on my iMac. Only one can be watched on my ATV, Talladega Nights. I received an email regarding downloading The DaVinci Code with iTunes Extras. I clicked/downloaded from the link provided, but, I cannot watch the iTunes extras for DaVinci. I've restarted my ATV on several occasions to see if this would help to no avail. Any suggestions?

Mmmm, second similar post, try Repopulating itunes, although I have to say it didn't help the other poster. Perhaps if you try this for both the extras and the movie.

Sorry about the subject line. I didn't know how to describe this. A few months ago (or longer) I saw a message in iTunes allowing me to change my iTunes Extras from the old way where the files resided on my computer and, when I clicked on the movie I wanted to watch, the Extras would show up as a link on the left side of the screen, to now where there is a big blue box on the right side that says iTunes Extras. I didn't want to lose my files locally, so I said no. Now, I want to change to the new way, but I don't know how to do it. I hope this makes sense.

nevermind, found a quick solution. Thanks though, I've been trying to find an answer for this for a while...just happened to go about it the wrong way...
when it's centered, the end of the text can be found using:
(unscaledWidth/2) + (label.textWidth/2)
First one gets you to the middle, second one adds half the text

I have the same problem on the latest iTunes software and Windows 7. My window is maximzed and I do not see any tab for photos. Seems related to a recent update (IOS7?) as this was there - at least before the very big change to the interface.

The movie is from iTunes. You would think that a download from iTunes to a MacBook could be watched on an HDTV using Apple TV without any headaches bit this does not appear to be the case.
