ITunes failing to correctly organise some tracks
OK, I just spent the morning editing the info on my library, so I could organise all the free stuff I had downloaded over the past year from various places into tidy and easily accessible folders (albums), instead of random tracks appearing all over the place.
I have almost succeeded in this task, however there are three tracks which I had edited to read as the album "iTunes Single of the Week" which are being very stubborn and refusing to sit where they are supposed to on the list.
Does anyone know why this is, and what I can do to fix the problem?
EDIT: They are sitting where the would have been before I altered the album title, ie. according to the first letter of the album, it seems as though iTunes hasn't recognised that I changed the title.

OK I worked it out, problem solved by going into get info, and selecting the sorting page. In there the album title was still entered so I simply had to delete it and now it is properly organised.

11.1.3 (8) iTunes fails to transfer newest music tracks to iPhone 4
For the past few days, I noticed that my version of iTunes 11.1.3 (8) fails to transfer my newest music tracks, which I imported into my MacBook's Itunes in the past week, to my 2011 iPhone 4.
Both my MacBook's and iPhone's software appear to be up to date; I tried to restart, sync and re-sync with playlist boxes I unticked and ticked again, my most recent tracks appear in grey in the 'in this iPhone' music directory when I connect my iPhone to my MacBook,
but each time I try to find these tracks in my iPhone's iTunes library, none of them appears!
I finally disabled my iPhone's 'sync over with wifi' box, hoping it would really transfer the tracks immediately during the sync process but it simply doesn't make any difference.
Therefore I don't know what to do next...

You can access the apps by clicking the iPad thingy on top right of the screen (when the iPad is connected) and then select Apps and scroll down to file sharing apps...

IPod classic fails to sync some tracks from iTunes
I use an iPod Classic 160 GB with iTunes. Both are fully up to date. Every time I sync with iTunes roughly 500 of 5000 odd tracks fail to sync. This number fluctuates, but stays around the 500 mark. iTunes does not recognise this problem - it claims to have synced completely. It is only when I go through certain Albums I notice that some tracks are missing. It tends to affect the same artists, but different songs are missing within any given Album each time. (ie: a song may appear on the iPod one try, then be gone the next.)
All my tracks are either AAC audio file or MPEG audio file. The problem seems to affect them irrespective of kind.
There is plenty of space on the iPod, with over 100 GB free.
I have tried Retry, Reset, Restart, Reinstall, Restore - all multiple times, with no result. I have tried syncing auto and manually, and wiping both iTunes and iPod every way I can think of. Still, when I sync, the problem remains.
This problem is driving me crazy, especially since I can find no cause, and no applicable advice on forums. I have searched Help forums for answers, but everything that comes up either doesn't match or I have already tried with no result.
Please help.
If I need to give more detail for an accurate diagnosis please let me know.

Thank you, Jonny.I'm also having the same issue. I have recently had to get rid of my old PC that my ipod was synced to and so have now had to sync my ipod to my new laptop. The problem started as soon as I did this - at first it was saying that my laptop wasn't authorised in the itunes store, but it is and I have reconfirmed this. All of my music was copied across from old computer but there are around 2000 songs not syncing. If anyone can help it would be hugely appreciated, it's driving me mad! One other thing is that I went to download all of my previous itunes purchases to this laptop but only 3 of them actually downloaded - I had separately copied them across from my old computer anyway but wanted to keep the list of my purchases - when I go into my account it thinks I have downloaded everything so won't let me do it again. I'm assuming both problems relate in some way to the new machine, but I don't know why.

For a couple months now, every movie purchase through iTunes fails to transfer to my iPhone or iPad giving me the error: "some of the items in the iTunes library, including were not copied to the iPad because you are not authorized for them on this computer". I have read many forums about deleting, reinstalling, de-authorizing and authorizing my iMac through the iTunes store. Many suggestions don't work except to rename the movie to *.MP4 in Finder under the iTunes movie directory. I imagine this is a setting or a bug somewhere... any suggestions on how to bypass having to rename the files in Finder? My research into Google suggests this problem dates back to 2007 or so but it is now more prevalent than ever.

The fun of new updates on my Windows 8.1 laptop and iphone 5S 64gb.
I noticed since my last sync that some tracks had magically been removed - so I wanted to full sync. This couldn't even be instigated unless I deleted all my music off of phone, now it just hangs when syncing - for hours. No updates on how many tracks out of how many tracks have been synced.
Also my purchased albums - I can see them on itunes as whole ones that are purchased, same on iphone.
I then go to iphone to download my purchased items via itunes app, and it only shows some songs. An example is Drake, Game etc. - seems to affect full albums I've bought that are "deluxe" editions.
All the normal/single edition albums seem fine.
Absolutely fantastic, can't get my music onto phone except some purchased items - and even then it doesn't show all my purchases.
Not sure if setting up family share affected things, but it can't even handle the simple tasks let alone downloading content from other users purchasers (which it detects fine ironically). New features but can't do anything that has previously been fine.
Flabbergasted, had one work iphone4s 16gb and 64gb personal previously - no problems with same laptop.
My alienware laptop is very high spec with SSD, so the fault does not lie here - apple related software or product.It couldn't do over 50gb in one go, had to do two half syncs to get all music on - i think this is limitation of the itunes software - pretty shocking really.

Airplay dropouts - only on some tracks in iTunes and not from iPhone

I experience heavy Airplay dropouts on certain tracks in my collection. And when I play the exact same track from my iPhone4 there is no problem. So I expect it to be an issue with iTunes and not a network bandwidth issue.
What I noticed is that it occur more often on tracks with a high bitrate than on tracks with low bitrate - but not always. Almost all my tracks is 320 kbps mp3.
However I've also experienced the problem on AAC tracks purchased from iTunes Store.
And finally some podcasts play completely without any dropout, and others drop out after a few seconds.
The above scenarios are easy reproduceable, and I think it might be an iTunes time specific problem when decoding the file and filling the airplay buffer.
I don't think it's a general computer resource problem, as the max CPU usage is approximately 2-3% and 0-1% most of the time. There is also plenty of memory available.
Are anybody else experiencing the same problem? Or maybe has a solution for the problem?

CPU Intel core I7
Windows 7 64 bit.

Hello i've been really exited to donload photoshop and so i decided to try the free version i downloaded creative cloud and went into th eapps and click on photoshop try it free i waited a few 30 mins and it stopped and told me this

so I decided to come here and ask why this is happening please answer ASAP I really need photoshop for important stuff!!!Try restarting your computer, then try again. Awhile back, some of the apps which I think included photoshop require the microsoft runtime to be updated. That runtime requires a restart to finish installing. But since it is a piggyback program, the error code telling you do so is hidden in the log file.
If it still does not install let us know. -

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

Itunes is unable to locate original file when attempting to play music. Songs are in the itunes media file and playable direct from there. Preferences/Advanced file location pointer is correct. Some songs play but most don't. I did move files around a bit in an attempt to share music with another account on same computor, however this did not work so have returned file to original location. Please help, I am way outside my feild in this one. Ta.
I have solved the problem. i think when I moved the media file back out of public to my account, I put it back into the wrong place and ended up with a media file inside a media file, inside another media file!! So I moved it again and fixed!! Now I just need to work out why i can't share with another account user of same computor.

Used ipod as a drive to copy songs into new itunes on new computer. Some songs do play in entirety, last 30 seconds to minute cuts off with nothing plyaing, or it suddenly starts playing a different song. "TIme" shown is correct in the file. Any way to fix this?
I copied the iTunes file from the external drive and it's in both places. I thought all I would need is the iTunes program (which I downloaded to new computer) and my iTunes library file. There must be something else that's missing. My iTunes library looks the same on the new computer as it does when I open it on the external drive. If I click on an iTunes library song from my new computer, it will only play if I have the external drive plugged in.
My back-up drive is a mess. I have multiple copies of music, video, photo, and document files and I don't know how that happened. ={ Obviously, I don't know how to back up stuff properly and there are back-up files extending over a 6- to 8-year period. I think all I did was just drag and drop the main folders from the back-up drive to the same main folders on the C: drive. Also (and I'm kind of fuzzy on this) Windows used to automatically save music files in a folder within my document files (which makes no sense to me). As my Jewish friends would say, "Oy Vey!"
