ITunes Fails on Windows 8.1.. If someone comes up with a solution, please let me know!!

Here is what I did..
Open iTunes on recently upgraded Windows 8.1 (from Windows 8)
Then Everything is good until I've hit the iTunes Store button...
That's it.. gone with the wind... and I see this..
And very happy to see this a trillion times..
Done gazillian experiments such as installing, uninstalling, using different ID/Passwords, compatibility issue checks, run as different version program, changed to 256 color, 16 bit color ratios... mmh.. hmm.. NOTHING WORKED.
Let me know if you have a solution. I do not wish to downgrade to Windows 8 again cos I love 8.1 for different reasons.

    Repair youe Apple Software Update.
    Go to START/ALL PROGRAMS/Apple Software Update. If it offers you a newer version of Apple Software Update, do it but Deselect any other software offered at the same time. Once done, try another iTunes install.
    If you don't find ASU in All Programs, go to Control Panel, Add & Remove Programs.

    Close your iTunes,
    Go to command Prompt -
    (Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
    (Win XP SP2 n above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
    In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
    netsh winsock reset
    Hit "ENTER" key
    Restart your computer.
    If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
    Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
    If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

    iTunes cannot convert protected WMA tracks. There may also be problems if it can't get full access permissions. What exactly are you trying to do when the error occurs?

    It sounds like you are getting this error code when you are trying to access the iTunes Store.
    I found this article with this error listed in the symptoms section, for you that should help troubleshoot the issue named:

    Resolution
    The cause for these issues is a program that monitors the Winsock protocol for Windows conflicting with Apple software. These programs usually use a Layered Service Provider (LSP) that can help identify the particular program installed. The programs that monitor this protocol have a variety of purposes, including security software, content filtering, and optimization of network traffic.
    To find the LSP:
    Download Autoruns for Windows from Microsoft
    Look for Autoruns.ZIP and open the compressed folder.
    After reviewing the contents and the license, drag autoruns.exe to the desktop.
    Open Autoruns.
    Click on the tab that says Winsock Providers.
    A list of items should appear. A column showing the publisher should be available.
    For items other than Bonjour, which is from Apple, check with the publisher for updates to resolve the conflict between their software and Apple software.

    Note:  If unsure on the origin of your LSP, you may try to locate vendor information to determine which software is responsible for the non-default value here.

    The only content that's associated with your account are songs, etc. that you've purchased from the iTunes Store.  Everything else (material imported from CD, bought from other sources like Amazon, etc.) is stored on your computer (or your mom's). So, even though you've logged into iTunes with your Apple ID you are still seeing the content of your mom's library (which implies that your running iTunes under the same Windows user account).  I believe that iTunes Match (which I don't have - its an add-on service that you have to pay a subscription for) allows your "local" content to be uploaded to Apple's cloud servers and shared in the way that you describe.  if your computer and your mom's are on the same network you may be able to access your songs by turning on network sharing (not Home Sharing) while both machines are on and running iTunes.

    Try a new SIM from your carrier.  If that doesn't work, make a Genius Bar appointment and get your phone evaluated.

    You cannot do so yet. iTunes Match has not yet been released. Once released, you'll have to subscribe to that service, not free, to be able to upload content not purchased from the iTunes Store.

    Use iTunes on any computer to restore your iPhone. Your data
    will be gone, but your iPhone will be functioning. You can restore
    when you get home.
