ITunes fast forwards when mouse is on song

I just got a MacBook Pro and use a wireless mouse(brand is Targus if that helps) which works fine for everything on it except when I roll over a song in iTunes while it's playing and it send itunes into a fast forward frenzy. It just moves and moves until I move the mouse and and then the songs play normally. I though it was a mouse issue but I think it's something with the iTunes after reading this forum.
Anyone know how to fix this or what's wrong? I really appreciate the help

Auto Fast-Forward when buffering airport?

I have noticed a problem in iTunes ever since I upgraded to iTunes 7.
It is, that when I begin to play music on my Airport Express, iTunes will begin the song in fast-forward, and not in play. To correct, I have to pause and un-pause. Once I fix it, it wont happen again until iTunes stops completely and starts again, (usually when I quit). Not a huge bug, just want to know if there are any common fixes.
I have 7.0.2.
PowerBook G4 Mac OS X (10.4.8)

I have that problem all the time with synced HD video. If I fast forward or rewind, the video will start sputtering after that. I don't think it's your network, it's probably a glitch in the ATV.
In any case, if you're streaming from a Mac via wifi, make sure you turn Time Capsule off. If it starts running while you're streaming, it will definitely degrade performance.

My itunes keeps freezing when I play one song;

I recently bought the album "Madvillainy" on the itunes store and whenever I play the song "Great Day" it freezes my entire computer at the 1:25 mark. If I'm quick I can shut down itunes fast enough to keep the whole computer from freezing up, but otherwise I can't even open the task manager to shut itunes down.
I am also now getting a message that reads "The itunes library folder cannot be saved. An unknown error occurred (-50). This is irritating to me.
Also why isn't there an e-mail address for support?

It's probably a corrupt file. Delete it and contact the iTunes Music Store customer support department through the form at the bottom of this web page and explain the problem to them. Or log into the iTunes Music Store, go to your Purchase History, find the problem track, click the arrow to the left of the track listing, and use the reporting link there.

ITunes 7 skips when i scroll through songs

when i scroll through songs on my Windows XP iTunes, it starts skipping like crazy. Mac is supposed to be a good company, it really shouldn't take them this long to respond to these egregious errors and bugs. not saying windows is better, but i expect more out of apple. iTunes is the most popular music program, but that doesn't give Apple the right to be lazy.

Frame fast forwarding when watching recorded BT Sp...

Hi - new to YouView and to BT Sport.
When I watch any recorded programme from freeview channels, the fast forward button allows me (a) to forward through all the frames and (b) to pick the speed at which I forward.
When watching a recorded BT Sport programme, the fast forward button (a) jumps me forward about a minute a time rather than seeing all the frames and (b) will only let me forward a minute at time, which is very tedious when I want to whizz through a 5 hr programme.
Do you know why this is?

I've had a word with my colleague about this and they've said that the current behaviour on internet channels on YouView is to skip forward (1 minute at a time) and skip back (15 seconds).

ITunes recopies library when I add other songs

When I transfer new songs to my iTunes library from a portable external drive using the "add to library command" (I have the "copy to library box checked), it starts working correctly but then I see that it apparently starts recopying everything in the library (which is stored on another external drive). This is a big deal because I have 57K songs in there. I've tried adding directly from the portable and dragging the new folders into the iTunes window, and but the same thing happens. I check back and it's busy copying songs that are already in the library. What is the problem?

Another thing. If I drag single folders from the HD into the iTunes window it copies fine. The problem is when I do it in "bulk".

When trying to locate songs in my iTunes library, often when I find the song it asks me if I would like it to find other missing files. Sometimes it can't find other missing songs. How do I make sure that it is looking at all of my hard dirves?

To import music into your iTunes library on the computer go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Add items to iTunes and follow the instructions
Delete the "songs" that do not play in your iTunes library and reimport them.

I created multiple libraries and multiple locations for music of different genres; however, in the end I decided that I wanted to keep all of my music in one location and to have just one iTunes library. The problem is that when I go to delete a song from my iTunes library, I no longer have the option to remove the file from my computer as well. I tried changing the iTunes Media Folder location (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1364), but that didn't solve. Then I tried reinstalling iTunes: I figured that starting fresh would put my iTunes library in the right location so that I would have this option again, but it didn't work. (When reinstalling, I got an error message that 6D5Dubs, the name of my last iTunes library, couldn't be found. I clicked 'OK' and was asked to 'Choose was asked to 'Choose library...' or 'Create Library'. I created a library since I had deleted the other ones in my attempt to start fresh) Any suggestions? Note: I find the CTRL+R solution tedious for my purposes.

Itunes shuts down when trying to move songs onto Ipod

For the last three weeks, I have been able to open i tunes, play music from i tunes, but when i plug my i pod in to transfer new stuff (from cds and i store) i tunes gives me a message syaing that it has encountered a problem and needs to shut down.
i have tried everything to get around this, but it bascially wont let me put more songs on to my i pod and forces me to close the window.
Help please!!!

Itunes screen freezes when trying to load songs in new ipod shuffle

I just bought an ipod shuffle for my mother but when I try to load songs from itunes, the screen just seems to freeze until I disconnect shuffle.
I tried to restore it but it doesn't work ("error 1418" is all I can get).
I don't understand why since I have no problem with my ipod nano on the same computer.

Be sure to use a rear port on your Shuffle, it needs full power to work.

ITunes shuts down when i play a song!!

okay, let's try getting a crash log to the Apple engineers for a look.
Typically, you'll need to configure Dr. Watson on your PC in order to generate crash logs. Windows start menu -> Run. Type in "cmd". Hit return. At the prompt in the command line window that comes up, type in
drwtsn32 -i
And hit return.
This will create crash logs in Documents And Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Dr Watson\. There'll usually be a file in here called "drwtsn32.log"
prior to collecting the itunes crash log, delete any existing crash logs in there. (we want to make sure we send the correct crash log.)
Generate the crash, collect the crash log, and and send it as an attachment to this email address.

- A link to the thread on Apple Discussions where the issue is being discussed
- The username you are using in the thread
- The version of iTunes you are using or trying to use
- the version of Windows you are using (mention service packs)

Itunes skips forward when paused

Whenever I hit pause in iTunes, it jumps forward by 2 seconds. As someone who plays audio material to students, I have to use pause a lot, but lately I can't use it because of this problem. I have uninstalled iTunes (version 11.1.3.8 and reinstalled but the problem remains)
Anyone know a fix for this? I'm running Windows 7, never had problems until this week.

It's every song or file that skips, no matter I play. All the files can't have suddenly become corrupt at the same time, especially seeing some are in the C drive and some are in the D drive. I'm running the Disk checker, but I really don't see how this could be the problem.
I have 8gb of RAM and not many programs running so that's not it either.
