ITunes files onto Blackberry Curve?

Is there any way to add music from iTunes to my Blackberry Curve? I downloaded PocketMac from the CD that came with my phone and it doesn't seem that I can sync any music onto my phone. I've tried dragging and dropping files into PocketMac and that hasn't worked.

Hi and welcome to the forums!
Files controlled by Digital Rights Management (DRM) technologies cannot be transferred to the BlackBerry smartphone. iTunes offers DRM-free Advanced Audio Coding (AAC) format downloads through the iTunes Plus store.

  • Dragging iTunes files onto disktop

I seem to have forgotten something. Unless my memory is worse than I thought it was, I used to drag songs from my iTunes library to my desktop in order to attach them to e-mail messages (I found this much faster than using the ATTACH button in my MAIL program .) Anyway, when I try to do it now, the song file doesn't stay on my desktop. What's at fault, my memory or my computer?

while not a direct answer to your question, if you want a very simple way to send a file, select the song in iTunes, look under the iTunes menu, choose Services, and then Mail, and Send File.
To think of all of the time I've wasted..... Well, better late than never. I worked! Thanks for the tip. It worked like a charm.

    Hi Everyone:
I am a first time blackberry user.  I was able to switch my itunes playlist onto the blackberry but when it goes to play I get "an error has occurred attemping to play media "Track 16""  It goes through the whole playlist with these error boxes popping up.  Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

  • How do I make a itunes file onto time capsule

    Hey there,
I recently got a TC and I have backed up my MBP onto it, but it just shows my whole MBP as one file and you can not go into and look at the files while on another computer that is connected into my tc. So, if that makes any sense, what I want to do is make a file onto my TC where all my music and videos from my itunes will be in. I then want to be able to access that file on my tc onto another computer (My Sister's). She wants some of my music and instead of having her tell me want music she wants and having to drop them into her drop file, I want her to be able to connect into my TC go into that itunes file and grab whatever music/ movies she wants that is in my itunes. Is that possible?

  • Open jpg files on blackberry curve

how do I and save jpg attachments on my blackberry curve. I can see the photo in my email on my blackberry. I can open and download the jpg attachment but when I try to save or make image my home screen image  I get an error message "files sytem full" When I click "View Pictures" the image does not appear/cannot be opened it looks like a little postage stamp of some application icon -- I assume jpg but it is not a mini photo like other photos taken directly with my blackberry
    what?
    Solved!

    Hi there!
The "file system full" message is the root of your issue. The reason you can't find it on your BB is because it failed to be saved there. You need to see what you can remove to make space for this new image as you've filled it up. Check your device memory stats (Options > Memory) and see what you have. If you have a Media Card, start saving things there instead of Device Memory. If you already have one and it is full, then, well, you've quite simply filled up your device...there's not much to be done except to start deleting things to make room for new things.

  • How can I back up my iTunes files onto a backup drive?

I am interested to back up all of my iTunes mp3 and movies onto a Toshiba 2TB drive.  How do you copy those files?
On another note, how can you sync iTunes between an iMac desktop computer and an Apple MacBook Pro?
    Many thanks.

Aside from using Apple Time Machine to backup your entire computer, you should be able to just copy the files from the iTunes Media folder. To locate it, open iTunes, press COMMAND then "," to open the Preferences screen. Go to the Advanced tab, and verify the the iTunes Media folder location. Copy that folder just like you would any other file.
To sync between computers, you could either use iTunes Match, which costs $25 / year and synchronizes your music through iCloud to any other computer on the same iCloud account (including your iPhone or iPad), or search around for an app (I'm thinking Dropbox or OneDrive) that would take care of that for you. Problem with most of those services is data limitations. I have to believe there are non-cloud based folder syncing apps out there, but none come to mind immediately.
If you wanted to get really fancy, you could change the location of the iTunes Media to something on a shared drive perhaps, but I've heard that non-default iTunes Media folders tend to cause headaches.

  • Combining two computer itune files onto one computer

Initially I set up itunes on my home pc. Then I also setup my laptop and started purchasing music on that computer. Now I am trying to combine them onto one so that I can have all my music on my iphone and ipod. As I guess everyone but me knows this is not easily done. Is there a way to make this happen. I bought the music I should not have to buy it twice. itunes allows you to have several computers on your account why don't they allow you to merge the files from those same computers. HELP

Where is your back up? Do you not combine it there?
"As I guess everyone but me knows this is not easily done."
    It is easily done.
You can copy music to a dvd,cd, flash drive, external drive and move it from on computer to another.
You can use your ipod to move itunes purchases to an authorized computer.
Go to the top of this page click "Support", the type "move itunes purchases" or similar into the search support bar. You will get articles to help you do this.

  • How to move iTunes files from MBP to MBA?

I have an older MPB (mid-2009) and an new MBA (late-2010).  Planning on getting a new MBA after Mountain Lion comes out sometime in July.
That means moving files from the MPB and the MBA over to the new MBA at some point.
In preparation of that I want to get all my iTunes files onto the current MBA.  Trouble is that I have used both the MBP & MBA to import music or videos as well as purchases into iTunes on both.
Without totally screwing things up what is the best way to get iTunes files (purchased or imported) from one Mac to the other without losing or corrupting things?
I already have a problem that there are movies on my iPhone4 that will not remove even though they are not checked when I sync.
How do you join iTunes from 2 Mac's?  Do you have to deauthorise one?
Thanks for any help.  I don't want to get things more confused than they already are.

99% of downloads are from my US iTunes account so those rules should apply.  What I'm wondering now is the comment about only 2 downloads.
The entire process is in advance of a new MBA.  I had thought it would be easier to get things moved from the MPB over to the MBA before I got the new MBA.  Now it seems maybe I should wait it out, get the new MBA then moved things from both the MBP and older MBA over to the new laptop.
Because Apple does changes to machines I have the older MBP with an older external HD that matches its connections. (Things from the MPB include transfers from the old MacBook).  Then I have the MBA with its external HD using a different connection because it only has a USB.
With the new MBA I'll have maybe a completely different external HD because its connections are Thunderbolt.
See where I'm headed with this?
It's the process of getting everything from the old MBP & external, the new MBA & external ... all moved over to the mid-2012 MBA & external.  Included in all of that is a huge amount in information.  Music along is over 400 GB.  Think we all are going to have the same issue as the Mac's upgraade and change.

  • Keeping itunes files on 2 external drives?

i keep my itunes files on an external hard drive right now, i just got a 500gb external drive to back up all my files. how can i keep my current drive as a primary drive for itunes to load up to and also have the files copied into the new drive as a backup all the time? i want all files current and if i change info on a song or album it will upgrade on both drives. how can i backup all my itunes files onto the new hard drive and still have it be recognized by itunes.

Here is what I do if it will assist you.
The iTunes folder is in the My Documents-Music folder.
I copied the whole iTunes folder to an external hard drive as a backup. When I download a new song, movie, upload a new movie from a DVD movie, etc. I copy this song, movie, etc. to the external hard drive and then copy the iTunes Music Database file and iTunes Music Library file over.
So, when I make a change I copy the file over and move the two; iTunes database and library file over.
It works. I have restored to 6 installs already and everything is there in place. I dont have to do anything.
(Oh, dont forget to deauthorize the computer when formatting the computer)
It looks like this is what you are doing.
I have 375GB of iTunes data and am converting all my 300 DVDs to MP4 and uploading into iTunes. Love watching movies on my iPhone. No one bothers me . You cant make DVDs with this much data so an external 500GB+ hard drive is needed. The first move is long, but moving additional files over is pretty quick.
Also as a 3rd backup my iTunes folder is also on my work computer. It takes longer to move changes over...Primary iTunes folder to external drive. Take external drive to work someday and move the files there. Done.

  • How can i import my itune files on to another hard drive...

I need to reinstall MAC OS X onto my iMac. This is the computer which has all of my itunes files. How can I transfere the itune files onto another hard drive (via my network) and re transfere it on to my iMac once the OS reinstalled? I have bought many albums from iTunes store and would hate to loose them.
    Thanks for the Help

JLdM: Try moving the entire iTunes folder back, and if that doesn't work, reimport the music. The computer will need to be reauthorized.
jwhmd: Follow the instructions in this article.

  • Can't unlock itunes files

I just bought a new Etec mp3 player. I tried dragging an itunes file onto it but all of them are locked and will not play. Does Itunes work only with Apple products, or is there a way to unlock the music files so they will work with other mp3 players.

If you will look in the "quick links" box on the right side of the main store window, you will see a link for iT Plus. When doing just general browsing in the store, the iT Plus files, will have a "+" sign in front of the individual song price. The complete CD will be clearly marked as an iT Plus CD, right above the "buy" button.
A lot of folks have made an assumption that the store sells files in mp3 format which they never have. Files have always been in AAC format & until approximately the past year, when iT Plus came on board, all files were protected. The protection has always been required by the major record companies & other copyright holders not Apple.

  • I bought a relative's original iPad. I want to leave the apps on it and add my own pdfs to read. My itunes account is really for my iPod. the computer says that if I "Sync" the iPad will be erase, and become like my iPods. how can I just get my files onto

I am a first-time iPad owner/user. I bought a relative's original iPad. I want to leave the apps on it and add my own pdfs to read. My itunes account is really for my iPod. iTunes message says that if I "Sync" the iPad will be erase, and become like my iPods. If I make a new iTunes account, would the apps be erased when I tried to use it?
How can I just get my files onto this iPad, and still have the apps that my relative left there for me?
    Thank you.

iPads sync to 1 computer only.
All media and apps are tied to the Apple ID that purchased them.
Without your relatives ID and password, you cannot update any of the Apps.
I am pretty certain he is also violating Apples terms of service by giving you the apps.

  • I recently lost my windows laptop due to a virus. I had backed up all files onto a drive(files only). However no itunes playlists. i have all my playlists on my iphone and pics etc however when im trying to sync to my new computer itunes deletes all data

I recently lost my windows laptop due to a virus. I had backed up all files onto a drive(files only). However no itunes playlists. i have all my playlists on my iphone and pics etc however when im trying to sync to my new computer itunes wants to  deletes all data off of my iphone so i click cancel
i want to update to iOS 5 and still have itunes be able to copy my playlists from my iphone. for free. why does apple provide a recovery from iphone option?

If you have a backup, restore the ENTIRE iTunes folder to the computer.  This restores the library and device association files.  If for some reason you chose to only back up the media and not the entire iTunes folder, then the only option is to let iTunes wipe the drive and re-sync.

  • ITunes will not allow me to drag files onto my desktop or a USB drive. The files still come up in finder and I can drag from there but I need entire playlists transferred. It started this when Yosemite went public and I updated out of BETA.

Songs and Playlists cannot be dragged from the itunes app onto desktop or usb drives.
Files can be dragged from Finder but only one at a time.
The issue started when I updated Yosemite out of BETA.
    I am running:
    OS X Yosemite 10.10
    2013 Macbook Pro
    iTunes 12.0.1

Hey! I had the same problem you did just today when I was trying to get my second iPhone to sync. What you need to do with music or anything extra that you doing you have to creat a second playlist or picture or anything that you would like to use, so that you can add to the second device that you are going to be using. I am not sure if that will help but it helped me out a lot!! Good luck!
