ITunes for other countries

I can't seem to find the music store for iTunes for countries other than the US/Canada. They seem to only have apps, and no front page with all the music ads like the US/Canada stores. Is this because they don't have non-English songs for sale in iTunes or am I navigating wrong?

There are many other countries where there are iTunes Stores carrying music and in some cases videos and movies, including the UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and a number of others. But for many countries Apple has not been able to negotiate the rights to sell media content in that country or for business reasons has otherwise decided not to sell media there yet, so iPhone/iPod touch applications are all that's available.
If you don't seen an iTunes Store listed for your country, then applications will be all that you'll be able to buy for now.

You can use Infotype 0102 Grievances NA even for the country grouping '99' for the disciplinary actions go to table V_T582L and make it permissible for the country grouping.

Hi Tara It maybe some of your songs have copy protection on them so i tunes skips them.. try loading them from a cd into i tunes.

does anyone know if it's possible to download from other countries stores? I've tried and it's not allowing me. Better still, does anyone know if TV shows and sports will be in the Australian store. Currently, the Australian store is useless for videos! Thanks.

Unfortunately, you can only purchase music from the store for your country.
We're all just users here, so we don't know if/when TV shows and other videos will be available in the Australian store.

Public Site Manager Enrollment for other countries

I work with a businnes school in Colombia, so I wanted to add it. But there's no option for my country 'Colombia', and neather if I wanted to sign myself into course manager. So, I don't know what to do, or if it would be available for my country in the future. Someone can give me information about it

Sorry, but at this time there's nothing you can do. iTunes U is not available to institutions in Colombia. Whether Apple has any plans to expand iTunes U to other countries and if so which ones is something none of us here, who are mostly just fellow users, will know.

Is it possible to buy from Italian or French itunes when I reside in Australia?

Sorry... But... You cannot use other countries itunes stores.
You must be within the Country with a Valid Billing Address and Credit Card for that Country to use the iTunes Store of that Country...

Help with iTunes for other OS

Hello. I actually am not running this on Windows actually nothing running on atm. I have an Ubuntu machine. I really don't want to pay $100 to microsoft just to make my computer feel slow and get iTunes. Does anyone see iTunes coming out for Ubuntu in the near future? Is there a way to get it or an alternative? I really would love iTunes for Ubuntu and I think many people would. I'm tired of having to keep two operating systems I want to scrap Windows 7! Thanks.

i know i have the same problem the only one thing i have noticed that is consistant along with this problem is that songs that will not go on it are all of them have a higher bit rate than songs that do go on the phone but thats the only real thing i can notice so if someone can show me how to lower the bit rate if its possible that might be the miracle cure

Hi, What would be the best way to buy the Single Edition to other countries ?
My client sits in a country where DPS is still not available ! Can I buy the subscription on his behalf ? Are there any consequences ?
Is their any restriction on buying the Single Edition from the US store from another country ? For example, can my client make the purchase directly from the US store or does he need a US Credit Card / Address, etc ?

Automatically pausing iTunes for other audio

I am trying to use iTunes to play background music all day at office computer.
Certain programs, like Skype, have an option to pause iTunes for a call...very helpful.
Is there any way to have iTunes automatically pause when something else needs the audio? Such as playing a web video? That would be much nicer than manually stopping and starting iTunes.

Unfortunately for you, the nature of OS X means that it is "multi-threaded", i.e. applications run simultaneously and independently of each other, and this includes their audio outputs of course. You would have to stop iTunes manually to listen to something in your browser, but there are two utilities that might make your life easier.
One is a floating iTunes controller available from http://www.soft32.com/download_218631.html - I only found this by browsing for it just, I have no idea how good it is.
Then there is Detour (no longer supported) which provides each app with its own independent audio channel with separate volume adjustment - I use this a lot ever since I discovered with horror and amazement that Safari does not have a separate volume control (utterly essential in this day and age, where every MySpace page has its own rocky horror soundtrack interrupting your read of the web page and cross-contaminating your great taste coming via iTunes with someone's lamentable heavy metal haha). Games & Softwares & Content for other Countries

I am new to this kind of interaction and kindly ask you to forgive me if I am using the wrong channel to open this discussion, but I could not find anywhere else to do so. I am from Brazil and almost 6 months ago change all my computers (PCs) to Macs as well as all my old Microsoft softwares to Apple compatible softwares. Nonetheless, my son and I felt a little bit bad when we discovered that the majority of our games were lost and the content available at Apple Store in Brazil had tremendous differences when compared to USA for instance. We here do not have games available, do not have music content, etc, that seems to be a huge mistake made by Apple since we are a huge country, with a similar if not bigger usage of internet when measuring hours connected per person per year. Beside that, we also paid more money to change to Apple equipment than if we choose to maintain PCs and suddenly we are caught by surprise seeing that Apple do not deliver here same content (software, games, etc) throughout its own stores nor by Apple store and those softwares made available are much more expensive here than in USA.
- Why not allow us to download from USA?
- Why not sell at similar prices?
- Why not sell at list the same softwares?
Please help me understand this and also obtain from Apple a better treatment for those clients who are located at other countries outside USA and Europe.

This is a user to user forum.   Anyone here can guess Apple's policy but may not post questions regarding it. If you have issues with Apple's Sales, call them directly.
It can be as much an issue of the game publishers not believing there is a market in your country., as limits placed by the telecons in your own country, as your own political country's tariffs they agree to give the U.S.      Whether or not that affects Apple's decisions in the process, is anyone's guess.

ITunes Stores for other countries

Hi, have purchased an IPAD in Andorra, Europe, where I live.
Unfortunately no Itunes store exists for that country, therefore I can't purchase any apps with my Andorran credit card.
Now luckily I also have an UK address which enables me to get some apps.
But as I am German and also spend a lot of time in France I want some apps or books or music from other Itunes Stores, which is not possible.
If I could buy everything from the UK Store I wouldn't mind, but some apps don't exist there which is crazy.
Why does Apple want to restrict what I can buy?

This has been discussed here countless times already, but Apple doesn't want to restrict anyone. It's the content owners who control what Apple can sell and where they can sell it.
They are selling IPads in countries where there are no ITunes Strores but you can't buy things in other languages.
I'm not aware of any country where Apple has officially released the iPad that doesn't have at least an App Store. What country are you referring to?
If you have a residence in another country, you could perhaps purchase prepaid iTunes cards in that country and open an account with that country's iTunes Store. But otherwise, Apple is required by the content owners, most of whom will not allow cross-border sales, to restrict you to purchasing only in your country. And if they can't get rights in your country, or can't make a business case for the costs of setting up an iTunes Store there, then I'm afraid you're stuck.

Why are some songs only available for other countries iTunes Stores

I have tried to purchase some songs from the French ITunes Store, but I got an alert saying I had to switch over to the US store to do so. I did, but when I searched for the songs in the US store, I could not find them. Why is this so? Is there any way I can get the songs from the French iTunes Store?

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I do live in the US. I assume that it works the same, that Apple doesn't have permission to sell the French songs in the US. Thank you for the quick response.

Why is it that I cannot purchase content from another country's iTunes store, and will I ever be able to in the future?

This decision will be strictly up to the copyright holders for content in any given country, not Apple. The following link from Scott Pl has a good explanation as to why the copyright holders don't allow for cross-border sales. Lastly, we as fellow users would have no ideas if or when this might happen & any speculation on new products or services is against the "terms of use" of these forums.

BI Reporting from one system for other countries

Good Afternoon
I need all the information I can get around doing reporting from one central BI (in SA) to different countries. The systems utilized in these countries are not SAP Systems and it seems that access to the specific systems may not be possible. Information around Project Management, hardware, access, IT Related issues etc will be highly appreciated.
We will be on BI 7.0 in two months. (Currently on 3.0)

Hi Cornelius,
You can connect to any system using SAP BI. It is not necessary to have all ur heterogenous systems to be SAP. You can connect and get data from any non SAP in to ur BI. So that you can use all the features that a tipical Datawarehouse system Provides. But to get data from such number of hetergenous systems of different countries you have to wrok a lot for data extraction. ou can make use of severtal data retrival mechanisms that BI provides.
