ITunes for Windows Vista 64 bit

Question

Is there any way to get iTunes to work on Windows Vista 64 bit? If not is Apple developing a version that will work in Windows Vista 64 bit?

For a chance I tried in this way and (strange but true) it works:
I installed Quick Time alone (the 7.3 release), then iTunes, and this time no problem at all at the start up of both the programs.
Finally I installed the gear software driver and no warning message appear in iTunes.
I enclose the iTunes diagnostic summary before and after the successful changing.
