ITunes freezes every time I Try to Sync ipod Touch, help!

Every time i try to sync my ipod touch 4G 32GB, i get this message saying "Adding files 20000 20015263.m4a" then iTunes freezes completely & i have no choice but to stop the sync From the ipod & disconnest it. Is there any way to stop this message from coming up? I really dont know what that file means. Please & Thank you

WELl i found the answer to stop this
as soon as you plug in your iphone
GO TO MUSIC and make sure voice memos is not checked
and erase all voice memos in phone + in itunes
this should fix all this problems

Every time I try to sync iPad, iPhone or iPod Classic, iTunes crashes. I have tried "netsh winsock reset" and deleting anti-virus programs. I have uninstalled and re-installed. iTunes works fine by itself so long as I don't try and sync a device -- then it hard freezes instantly (step 2 on iPhone). I even tried switching which USB cable I was using and which USB port. It is every device, every cord, every USB port; iTunes freezes solid whenever I connect any of my Apple devices. I ran diagnostics and the result was that all tests were successful. I have double and triple checked for any and all updates for iTunes and all of the devices... I'm at a complete loss as to how to fix this problem.
Problem started with new iTunes update about two weeks ago. I didn't notice it until I tried to sync my iPod with new audiobooks that I had purchased. I am running Windows 7 (which also recently updated itself).

Well reading some other discussions i have found to try deauthirizing and reauthorizing, that didn't work. I guess i could remove iTunes and reinstall, but i hate to do that. Maybe I should take all the music off and sync and then try putting it back on? Worked before i put music on there, but then there wasn't much to sync at that time. Anyone know of other possible causes that would make iTunes stop working?

Itunes crashed every time I try to sync Iphone6

I am try to sync my Iphone6+. Every time i run the sync in itunes it crashes. I re-downloaded the program and selected repair and it still has the same issue. I ran the sync diagnostic and it said it was fine.
Using windows7. IOS8 on phone and itunes 11.4.

After trying many things I got iTunes to sync with my phone without crashing. Here's what I did in case this works for you.
1. Installed all the apps I could directly onto the phone via wifi
2. Copied only those apps I could not install directly from my home server to my local C drive. These were all apps I had purchased a long time ago and are no longer available in iTunes store. There was ~10 of these so not a huge amount of space on the C drive.
3. Updated my iTunes to point to the new location for apps in step #2 - To do this I just dragged the apps into iTunes from the local folder.
4. Sync
Things still aren't perfect. iTunes is behaving oddly. Although I unchecked the option to sync as soon as my phone is connected it continues to do so. I also can't find my audio books in the music app. I don't know if they just aren't installing during sync or apple has moved audio books out of the music app or something else. Anyway, as I said, not perfect but a major improvement none the less. Good luck.

ITunes freezes every time I try to connect my iTouch.

I just got a new iMac OS 10.7.2. I have 2 ipods, a nano and a touch. I can connect my nano to iTunes without any problems but when I plug in the touch, iTunes will freeze. I have noticed that my touch does not appear on my desktop. It will appear in iTunes but as soon as it does, the program freezes. I have tried connecting the touch then opening iTunes but that doesn't seem to make a difference. I can't find any settings in iTunes or on my touch that seem like they would fix this problem. Does anyone have any ideas?

I have had the same problem and is now fixed. This is what I did. I went into settings, then to the itunes and App store. Signed out of my apple ID. Then shut the phone off with holding the two buttons down so that the apple logo turns on for about 30 seconds. Turn the phone on and go back into settings put your apple ID into it. Go to the store in your music app and it should go through to itunes. Once it has done that you can then and it is working. You should be able to access your itunes through the app. Hope this works.

Well, it's pretty self-explanatory. Every time I try to sync my iPod Touch (5th generation), iTunes freezes. It starts syncing for a few seconds, slows down, stops, then iTunes becomes unresponsive. If I don't force quit it, after a few minutes, iTunes is fine, but my device still hasn't synced. Any solutions/suggestions?

Can you connect to a wifi source on the device? Enable wifi in settings on the device itself. If you don't have wifi at home, there may be a local hotspot you can use for this.
The reason this happens is carriers don't want people downloading huge files that would slow their network as well as eat up your data plan.

Thanks for the answer. The sync process goes well until the last step,(5th) when iTunes try to syncing pictures. At that point I got an error message telling me that iTunes doesen’t work properly. “Windows tries to find a solution to the problem” ...and then the program shuts down. I remember that I tried to include videos in the Photo tab just before it all happend, so I think that is the issue here.
The problem is that i dont know how to uncheck include videos option since the program stops working. Is it something i can do without having my iPhone connected? I Saw that some have installed older versions of iTunes to go around the problem and if that solves it all, at least for now... where can I download it?

Re-installing iTunes wont erase your folders, unless your iTunes is a very old version pre-iTunes 9 series.
I would suggest to download the latest iTunes, it would solve your problem as in this earlier post

when i try to sync my music which i have on my PC's itunes it will just not transfere on the phone. everything will sync [apps, videos, contacts] but the music will just not transfere.

The best way to manage your music when you have multiple iPods is to change the settings under "Options" so that you manually manage your music instead of it doing an automatic synch each time you connect. To add only the songs you want, highlight them and then "click and drag" them to your iPod. This way none of your daughter's music gets added and you're not in danger of deleting your playlist as well. It will show you how many songs you've added and you can then click on your iPod to verify. To delete her songs off your iPod now, click on the music tab under your iPod so show everything you have stored. Find those songs you want to delete, click on them to highlight then go up to the Edit window and click delete. This will erase them off your iPod but be careful when you highlight. I did that and then had to reload a cd on my boyfriend's, lol. hope this helps
