Itunes freezes the computer on windows 7 64bit pro

Hello,
no matter what i do, itunes always makes my computer freeze. it happens by itself from time to times but after connecting my iphone it happens within 5 mins.
i tried reinstalling itunes, closing AVG, even format my computer and start with a brand new install of windows.
in the event viewer i get this msg: "WSARecvMsg failed (10022)" from the Bonjour service.
how do i solve it?

I've tried everything I can think of-checking the system, uninstalling it then reinstalling it, but nothing seems to work. It just freezes the whole computer to the point where I can't even use Control Alt Delete to get out of it. If anyone can help, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Ipod will not sync to itunes, just stops half way and freezes the computer

my ipod has suddenly stopped syncing to itunes half way through and freezes the computer. it is not the songs because they sync to my phone. how can i fix this?

Have you tried plugging the Nano into another available USB port or using another USB sync cable? Does it seem to be freeze when syncing the same track?
I assume iTunes is up to date (10.7 at the time of this writing).

I just tried running the Lenovo Hard Drive Quick Test both in normal mode and in safe mode. Both times it indicated a failed read test on the HDD. The last two tests also failed. I forget what those tests were called.
I am really beginning to think I have a bad HDD and the problem just happens to be in the reserved partition where my factory system software resides.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

It sounds like you are getting an error stating that the iTunes installer cannot be run on your computer. I would try downloading the 64 bit version of iTunes from here:

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page).

After clicking one of the circled links, you should be taken to another page, and after a few seconds you should see a download dialog appear for the msicuu2.exe file. Here's a screenshot of what it looks like for me in Firefox:
Choose to Save the file. If the dialog box does not appear for you, click the link on the page that says "CLICK HERE IF IT DOES NOT". Here's a screenshot of the page with the relevant link circled:
When the dialog appears, choose to save the file.
(2) Go to the Downloads area for your Web browser. Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. How can I get album artwork without using iTunes on the computer?

I used touchcopy to copy the songs off my ipod touch onto my new computer, so i could then load them onto my ipod nano. I have got the songs on the nano, and theyre still on my touch, but there is no album artwork on either. For my nano, i can use iTunes, but the computer my touch is synced to is, well, dead. So, is there a way to get the album artwork back on my touch?
Also, on my nano, it doesnt have any of the artists or album (name) for the songs

Adobe used to be choppy and would finally freeze the computer

I can't figure out how to update my earlier post so I posted again. For months Flash would be choppy on both video and audio play. Recently it would freeze the computer completely and a hard reset was the only answer. I tried the forums and was directed to the troubleshooting page. I followed that advice but found it made no difference. And device manager confirmed all drivers were up to date and working properly. I was going to have to reformat. As a last resort I did a search for drivers, but identifuying each of the componenets correctly I found to be impossible Finally one search turned up DriverMax. I know nothing about them but CNet gave them a favorable review. I had nothing to lose so I used it. After updating 7 "newly discovered" drivers, Adobe finally works perfectly. This is a bit disconcerting as the Troubleshooiting page only tells you to update drivers, and Device Manager tells you they are all up to date. I won't trust it again. I recommend you try this site and let us know if you have the same very positive experience I had. Maybe I am just lucky. Thanks

Yes, and it is an impressivem clear and comprehensive interface. Scan once and it produces a list of outdated drivers. You can download two a day free. It will create a Restore Point, you approve the install, you restart, test and then do the next one. You have to initiate/approve each step before they are implemented. Out of 7 drivers installed I only had to roll back one. I have tried the manufacturers site for updates before but the hardware, software and compatibility issues made it very problematic. I can't rebuild a transmission either and don't plan to learn how. And Windows always tells you the drivers are up to date. I have never had a Windows driver update produce one new driver. I have tried that properties/update drivers many times over the last 20+ years, and never saw one succeed.
Anyway, it is worth looking into. Let us know.
