ITunes freezes up all the time

I started using a new iPad a couple of weeks ago. Also had a MS update last week. iTunes is unusable. Been a Mac guy for 20 years and have never had anything happen like this before. Suggestions?

I cannot access the itunes store
Doublechecking. Is it hanging while saying "Accessing iTunes Store"?

I am not very good with tech things , I have a Mac Book Pro and have had it for almost two years with no problems. Now for the past week or so it has started running extremely slow and freezing up all the time. I am not really sure what is going on but is there any advice on something to do or any idea what could be wrong.

Help me! shiny new powerbook freezes up all the time

ugh. so i finally broke down and bought a 17" powerbook. the new ones from a week ago. I installed an extra gig of ram, have installed all the updates from apple etc. but it freezes up all the time. not the spinning beach ball. or the kernel panic must restart your computer freeze, but the totally frozen nothing is moving on screen, must hold down the power button to turn off freeze. it's pretty random when it freezes. nothing seems to precipitate it. sometimes it freezes immediately. sometimes i'll work in InDesign for four hours before it freezes.
any ideas? i ran the full on hardware test etc. and it says everything is fine. i scanned and removed some corrupt fonts. still the same. i've done everything i can think of including reinstalling some software etc.
im assuming it's a software issue, not hardware. or is that not necessarily true? ugh. depressing. thanks for any help-

First thing to try is take the extra RAM and see what happens.
If it stop with the RAM out then you could have bad RAM or it's not in tight. Try re seating it.
If you still get it then, you need to rule out the OS so you need to re install the complete system from fresh. Use disk utility on the install disc to do a low level erase then re install.
If still the same you could have a hardware fault maybe the HD or the logic board.
If it's this new you have Apple support for 90 days, just call them they will sort it for you.

Why does Firefox 23 keeps freezing briefly all the time?

Firefox suddenly started freezing briefly for something like 3 seconds all the time when it updated to 23. It does it something like every 10 seconds. How do I stop the really annoying brief freezing?

I had already tried disabling HWA before updating to 24 beta but it didn't make any difference. Still kept freezing. At least the problem appears to be fixed in 24 beta. I haven't yet had any more regular freezing problems after updating.

As old as it is have you cleaned out the dust? Dust buildup can lead to over heating issues. Remove any and all things plugged into it including the power cord, Remove the RAM access grille. Vacuum all openings starting with the RAM access area (air intake). Vacuum all ports and plugs, DVD slot and the opening across the top of the rear of the body. Blow compressed air through all your openings and vacuum again to remove any dust you loosend. Reinstall the RAM grille. Plug in the keyboard and mouse if not blue tooth. Insert power cord...

Dreamweaver CS6 freezes up all the time.

My MacBook is in the shop being repaired so for the time being I'm using my PC. I've reinstalled Windows and loaded Dreamweaver on it. I have a Creative Cloud subscription and running Dreamweaver version 12.2 Build 6006. However, Dreamweaver constantly freezes. I could be opening a file, or just typing and it'll lock up. It's definitely not my PC, I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 (all updated), Intel i5 @ 3.20GHz, 8GBs of RAM. The only thing I could think of would be my hard drive? Although other programs aren't driving the struggle bus like Dreamweaver has been.

Just keeps freezing up all the time...

I have had my iMac for a few months and recently it's just started freezing up, in programs sometimes but alot of the time it's finder. It's not when I'm doing anything big it just does it, I never had this problem before with a mac and it's starting to get annoying because I have to manual restart sometimes because it won't even restart itself. I did an erase and install this week as suggested by someone else because my programs stopped quitting and froze up the system, but it's still doing it.
Is it just bugs in a new system or what?

I found one or two such postings in Finder/Dock discussion group also. I feel it is a bug in Leopard but Apple support is not acknowledging it.

ITunes 12 crashes all the time (but music continues to play)

Since I bought my new Macbook Pro I've had this annoying problem with iTunes. It's crashing more or less every ten minutes. It doesn't affect the track playing though. The track finishes playing, and when it's done nothing happens. Except for iTunes saying "Does not respond". Then my only choice is to force quit the app, and start it from the beginning.
Sometimes a reboot helps. If I'm lucky I'll get one hour without crashes. But suddenly it happens again. I've tried downgrading iTunes, but it wouldn't let me. No matter which guide I followed there was some kind of problem. So I tried reinstalling it. Deleted everything, even my playlists. And I thought I solved the issue but it all started again. Crash upon crash.
I'm thinking that I can't possibly be the only one who has experienced this. Again, it's a brand new Macbook and it started almost from day one.
I hope someone can help me or give me some advise.

I have the same issue, though mine crashes/freezes within a minute of opening iTunes.
However, when I open iTunes in Safe Mode (hold down Option + Command), it works absolutely fine. The only difference as I understand is that it disable iTunes plugins. But I never even installed any plugins (verified that /Users/username/Library/iTunes/iTunes Plug-ins/ folder is empty), so I have no idea what may be causing this.
Any ideas?!

IPhone freezes/crashes all the time??

This seems to happen to all time with me, i first brought an iPhone and the screen started going all fuzzy, i cant explain it but it would just crash while im on an app and then go to the apple logo which was on one side of the screen while half the apple was on the other side. I would leave it for about 6 hours and hold the on button and it turned on again and starts to work normally until it happens again :/
I went to the Apple store and got it replaced but now its happening to the one i have now. The screen crashes for no reason while im on a app and i just have to leave it for a few hours and it starts to work again for a few minutes, if i put it into iTunes nothing comes up or says "itunes could not connect to the iphone because an invalid response was received from the device". Also a few weeks ago it was stuck on a blue screen for a while.
I've restored it yesterday and it still seems to mess up, i tried everything like putting it into DFU mode but its not responding at all now.
I would go to the Apple store but its quite far away from where i live, i went a few weeks ago and they just told me to make sure i tap the home button twice and close the apps, well i've been doing that but it doesn't seem to help. Is there something im doing wrong since it's happened to both of them now?
I haven't jail-broken or tried. I had about 4mb left so i'm not sure if that affects it. I haven't dropped it either since im really protective over it.

Might be an app you have installed on the iPhone that's causing the freeze / crash issues.
Connect the iPhone to your computer, launch iTunes. Select the Apps tab in the menu.
Sync several apps at a time, then test the iPhone. Keep testing until you find the culprit.
I think you mean 4GB... not MB. 4GB is plenty of free space so that should not cause the problem.

hey there, i purchased an ipod video 30gb and i have windows xp service pack2.my problem is that i get a "itunes has encountered a problem, and needs to close" on just about everything i try to do! it does this when i try to play a song on itunes, try to add videos to library, and as i just discovered when on completion of spending three hours downloading a video from the music store! (i lost the video as soon as it was downloaded as a result of the problem screen). why is this happening?! this is very disheartening for me and makes me think that this is a very large waste of money! ( and i scratched the flippin screen 10 minutes after getting it out the box!)HELP!

I dunno, it could be a corrupt iTunes install, or malware.
Try downloading QT standalone and installing that.

ITunes starts automatically all the time

I have a new Toshiba laptop with Vista Home Premium running iTunes version 8.0.2.20. My problem is that iTunes starts up by itself constantly. I have turned it off in msconfig, unchecked it on all my iPods, but it still opens anytime I put in a cd or dvd or connect an external hard drive. Can anyone help? It's getting VERY annoying.

i think you will lose your settings but you will lose your music (unless you know all of it is located in *another folder on your computer* (i.e my music)).
I think, if all your music is saved in a folder (that is created when itunes is installed) it might delete the folder ( *and all your music* ) if you uninstall itunes. ( *but double check this* (im sure someone will confirm)). Oh and you will almost certainly lose your settings, but again it depends where itunes saves them, and if they are automatically deleted when you uninstall itunes (From Apple's point of view if you want to uninstall itunes whats the use for kepping the settings ,if you don't have the program)
Are most of the CD's and DVD's Blank when you put them in? Or are they CDs or DVDs you havn't installed yet on itunes?

I have windows vista 64 and i never had a problem until i downloaded itunes to updgrade my iphone to the newest updates last week. ever since it just openes up for now reason at all. if I close it out it comes back on and on every user that is logged on.
