ITunes Gift bought in US Store but give to Canadian User
He can't download the content because it was bought using a gift from the US Store but the content is available in the Canadian store.
What gives? Is there a way around this?
Sorry but no as iTunes Vouchers are valid ONLY in that country where issued.
A Canadian User needs a Canadian iTunes Voucher.

What's the actual error message that you are getting, that the card hasn't been activated or that the code is invalid ?

Does anyone know how to reset your security questions?? I loaded an itunes gift card on new ipod but when trying to make a purchase, itunes is asking us the incorrect security questions?! I got some help from an apple assistant on the phone. It is kind of round about way to get in.
Here is what he said to do and it is working for me...
a. on the device that is asking you for the security questions go to "settings", > "store" >
tap the Apple ID and choose view"Apple ID" and sign in.
b. Tap on payment information and add a credit/debit card of your preference then select
"done", in the upper right corner
c. sign out and back into iTunes on the device by going to "settings"> "store" > tap the
Apple ID and choose "sign-out" > Tap "sign -in" > "use existing Apple ID" and you
should be asked to verify your security code for the credit /debit card and NOT the
security questions.
d. At this time you can remove the card by going back in to edit the payment info and
selecting "none" as the card type then saving the changes by selecting "done". You
should now be able to use your iTunes store credit without answering the security
questions.
It's working for me ...I just have to put in my 3 digit security pin from the credit card I am using.

DrewSorry, but you cannot use a UK iTunes card in any country other than the UK. Sell or give the card to someone in the UK and buy a French prepaid card.

The credit should be on your account.
You shoudl not have to re-enter anything.
It should stay on your account where you can access it from any computer/device with itunes.

ThanksI got it to work from his account on my phone...i.e. I signed in to the app store as him on my phone. I got it to work, but it was a bit convoluted. I still got the same request for the verification code. I put in the code and then it asked if I still wanted to buy the game. I said no. I went back and tried to buy it again and (I can't remember if it asked for my son's password or not) and it worked. I saw the deduction in the balance too for verification.
I did later find an article with this at the very bottom. Maybe that was it all the time???

Well, I need to get some apps for my dad's iPhone 3GS, and the problem is, that I don't have a credit card or paypal account. I can buy an iTunes gift card to get those apps but, my doubt is, with those gift cards, can I buy apps for the iPhone despite the fact that my Apple ID account is from Mexico, and not from the US?
You cannot buy anything from the U.S. itunes store unless you are in the U.S. and have a valid address in the U.S. and credit card tied to that address.
