ITunes gift card error message

When I enter the code on my iTunes gift card, a message comes back saying my card has not been activated and I need to visit iTunes support page. Any idea what I need to do.

Is the store that you bought it from closely so that you could try asking them to activate the cloud properly ? It sounds a lot like your phone was hacked or jailbroken to unlock it prior to your trying to update it.
If that is the case, it is nowpermanently bricked.

The iPhone 3G is Not Compatible with iOS 6...
It also appears that your phone may have been Hacked and / or Jailbroken...
If this is the case... you are out of luck... Because...

Have you moved or deleted those tracks on your computer (the gift card has got nothing to do with it) ?
You might be able to re-download them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes (re-downloading isn't possible in all countries) - if those songs appear there then delete the entries from your iTunes library (where you are clicking on them to play them and gettinf the 'original file' error), and they should then get a cloud symbol against them for re-downloading.
If they don't appear in that link then have you got them on, for example, an external drive ?

I've recived two iTunes gift cards for the holidays from a family friend in the mail.
When i got the cards i scratched it off, to get my pin number. When i put my pin number into my phone / laptop.. both of the cards said that there was an error with the card.. which i dont understand since they were new. I dont know how much money was on it all i recied were the 2 cards.

I've been having the same issues too, and thought it was just my outdated computer or account?!
Every time I try to purchase a song, "session has timed out" shows up after I click "agree" to the terms!? I seem to be in the exact same scenario as 'SportsBarn' above: Itunes support have replied repeatedly with the same "solutions" but nothing has helped or even been applicable. I have an older laptop, 2005 Powerbook running OS X 10.4 Tiger so it's not compatible with the latest iTunes 10.5.2 which requires minimum OS X 10.5. I wonder if it's the older OS or just a redemption glitch even with newer computers?

do you have the receipt from where you bought it? If so take it back and see what they will do for you.

This alert is often the result of an issue with verifying your billing.
Quit iTunes.
Open iTunes.
Test the issue.
If it persists, sign in to store.apple.com using your iTunes account
Click on Change account information
Modify or remove your credit card information.
Click Continue.
Test the issue.

The activation is supposed to be done at the Point Of Sale. If you know the retailer that sold you the card, take it up with them. If that doesn't work, contact iTunes Customer Service:
