ITunes gift card, unlegible numbers, scratched off numbers

How do I get the use from a card where some of the numbers rubbed off with the protection strip? As in, rubbing off which just my thumb, not even using the nail or a coin, resulted in some of the numbers going away.
There are a lot of other numbers of the card, perhaps some of them can be used to recover the real one?

You just get endlessly shuffled around. At one point I was asked for my Apple ID on one of these pages and got an "INVALID LANGUAGE CODE" after entering my UID and password. It was just absurd!
I eventually was able to get an email address for this issue. I sent an email and received a confirmation that I would most likely here something in 24 hours. 24 hours came and went, no answer. I am generally a big supporter of everything Apple, but this is a bad issue for Apple, I wish they would handle this better.

I changed my AppleID password this morning and now I can't load iTunes gift card numbers to download music. The system keeps taking me to the account screen to verify payment info. When I click on DONE, it takes me back to the password screen.

After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help with gift card issues. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice for the issue you are experiencing:
If you can't redeem your iTunes Gift Card or code
Contact iTunes Store Support
If the code is completely scratched off or you still can't redeem your gift card, contact iTunes Support:
Go to the iTunes Store support page and choose your country.
From the menu on the left, choose Contact Support.
Click Contact iTunes Store Support.
Follow the instructions.
iTunes Store Support might ask you to send these things:
Image of the full front and back of your gift card
Sales receipt showing when your card was purchased
Serial number from your gift card
