ITunes giving an error code (-50) when syncing iTouch

When i try to sync my iPod Touch 4G, iTunes gives me an error code (-50) and doesn't sync anything on my iPod to my PC. This problem has never happened before.

I am having the same issue. Since updating to iTunes 11 my iPhone 5 will no longer wirelessly sync. I am operating the latest version of Mountain Lion on a two month old Macbook Pro. When I plug in the USB I go through the steps of making sure the box is clicked to Wireslly sync, but after a few minutes of un-plugging the cord my phone dissapears from my devices. It tries to locate it, but cannot.
Furthermore, when I launched iTunes 11 for the first time my phone was synced, but since I accidenttly hit the eject button in the top right, this button has yet to come back. Even when the iPhone is linked via USB. Am I Crazy, stupid, or is this a bug?
BTW, how did MrTrav15 have this problem on 10/17 a month-and-a-half before the launching of iTunes 11?

When i attempt to sync my ipod at any given time, I am told that iTunes can't write to the device, and I am then given an error code of -20. I use a Windows xp system. Can someone please help me with this?

Hi ,uninstalling your firewall then have a go at syncing .
dont forget to disable your internet connection.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

I'm getting error code 1437 when syncing new ipod with my computer

I've just got my new ipod and when I try to sync it to my computer to copy music I get error code 1437. I'm not very tch savvy so anyone out there please explain in English and not tech speak.

I have a temporary workaround here:
1. Press PrintScreen (PrScrn) to capture a screenshot.
2. From Start, enter MSPAINT in the Search box, and then click "OK".
3. Use Ctrl + V to paste the screen shot to the paint.
4. From the File menu, click Print to print it.

Error Code -54 when syncing

I recently imported a few CD's and now I get Error Code 54. Any ideas on how to isolate the corrupted file? Some of the CD's were burned files and some were original CD's. Don't know what to do next. Thanks,

Open the Script Editor in the /Applications/AppleScript/ folder and run the following:

set locked of every item of entire contents of folder "Music:iTunes" of home to false
end tell
This issue is often due to a locked item in the iTunes library, which can be unlocked by running the script. If you've moved the iTunes music folder, adjust the second line as needed.

I have cleared all the music and tried to re sync, unchecked voice memos, tried to restore etc...nothing is fixing this. Please help!!
Our 2 ipod touches are the only ones with the problem, our Classic syncs just fine still.

Itunes freezes at "finding purchased items" when syncing itouch!?!!?

So I bought an Ipod touch 3rd generation from my friend about 4 months ago. it was working fine and syncing with itunes perfectly. then, about 2 months ago i updated my itunes to itunes 10.2.2 and that was a total mistake. i would open itunes and it would run slow, then when i tried syncing my ipod it would always freeze at "finding purchased items" and i had to force quit every time. i figured i would just wait for another update. now, a couple months later, ive updated to itunes 10.3.1, in high hopes that it would work. but still, nothing. it continues to freeze at "finding purchased items" I've tried to sync my old Ipod nano to the same itunes library and it worked fine! it's just not working with my itouch!!!
Ive read up on it and done all of the following:
Deleted ibooks
Sync from back up
Reinstall itunes
Restore itunes
Made a new library
Turned off home sharing
Manually synced music
Unsubscribed to podcasts
Allow it to attempt to sync overnight
And many more things!!!!!
And just now i tried syncing it again and now it began freezing at step 2:preparing to sync!
the ONLY conclusion that i can come to is authorizing my computer. Since i bought the ipod off of my friend we decided to share an itunes account so that i could purchase stuff using her itunes account. since i got the ipod i HAVE made many purchases using her account. but when i tried authorizing my computer to her account it says something like "this account can only be authoorized to 5 computers" the problem is, i really need it to sync to more than 5!?
This has been going on for too long and now its getting extremely frustrating for me. I am a teen and I would love to listen to the newest music! so this is a real problem for me. Someone, PLEASE HELP!!!!! AND FAST!!!!!!!!!!

i just found out how to deauthorize all computers. i deauthorized them and am re-syncing the ipod now-hope it works!

cannot sync nano or ipod with itunes,,,keep getting error code -25170 cannot sync...any ideas

Have you tried rebooting the Mac?
Is there any other information given in the err0r message besides the number -25170?
I could not find any information via Google for the error number.

Error code -69 when trying to sync iTunes and iPod

When syncing to iTunes, I receive error code -69, and will not complete the sync. Please help. Using Windows XP.

Error -69 means the song/s that was selected for syncing is un-usable, there should be an error message that tell you which song is un-usable or corrupted. You have to re-download the song from the source or delete it.
If re-download still does not work, convert it using iTunes to iPod version.
Or select the song ,
click Advanced on the top Menu
Select Create iPod version.
Then sync again

I keep getting error code 4450 when I'm trying to burn a CD from itunes. It keeps my CD and won't eject it and says "cancelling burn" forever then itunes locks up and my cd is ruined and NO songs on it.

i can't burn cd's in iTunes anymore. I get error code 4450 when I'm trying to burn a playlist. Songs from my own cd's, or bought in iTunes (have not burned 7x's as I can't BURN any cd's at all!), Then my cd gets stuck in the drive. and it says "cancelling burn" forever and then itunes freezes up. I have a Dell with Windows 7.
-I've slowed down the burn as slow as it can go
-I have bought 3 different brands of cd's
-i have the latest version of iTunes.

I have Windows 7 on a Dell. Open and play iTunes in the compatability mode and use Windows XP (service pack 2). Disregard any messsages to disable the compability mode. This has worked for me. I have also reinstalled iTunes and played with burn speeds etc. These ideas did not work. Compatability mode works.

If you experience this issue on a Mac, disconnect third-party devices, hubs, spare cables, displays, reset the SMC, and then try to restore. If that does not resolve the issue, try the USB issue-resolution steps and articles listed for Error 1604 above. If the issue persists, it may be related to conflicting security software.
