Itunes Hangs as soon as iPad or iPhone connected

I am running OS X 10.9.3 on a MacBook Air with Itunes 11.2.2 (3). iTunes runs quite happily until i plug my iPad in. The iPad is identified and then iTunes hangs. I have disabled automatic synching but I am at a loss as to what to try next. I powered off my iPad and retarted iTunes, in then promptly connected to my iPhone via WiFi and hung. The hangs are during the initail connection and the synch/back-up never starts.

Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
~/Library/Application Support/SyncServices
Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Quit the application if it's running. Move the selected item to the Trash. Relaunch the application and test.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

    I have just upgraded to the latest version of iTune and since upgrading iTunes now hangs as soon as I connect my iPhone or iPad.
    Version 10.3 worked fine, but I upgraded to 10.5 in order to download the new version of iOS, but since doing this iTunes hangs as soon as I plug in either of my devices.
    The device appears iTunes, but then the window stops responding and clicking on anything in the window has no effect.
    I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes and the mobile support, trying different USB ports, cables etc. to no avail.
    Apple appear to have no way of contacting them without paying. So any ideas would be appreciated.

    Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling following all the steps listed in the Apple Support article? There are 6 components that need to be uninstalled before dowloading a new version of iTunes.

    Her iPhone will need to be set up to iTunes Match using your Apple ID to be able to share music via iTunes Match. Otherwise you'll have to download the music to your computer and then copy those tracks into her iTunes library, assuming hers is separate.

    can not get my iMac iTunes library synced to my iPad and iPhone using USB. all devices have latest software. There is no device icon on my IMAC toolbar as indicated it should be in the support FAQs. What advise does anyone have?

    I have tried numerous times to connect to ITunes Store to update my current apps and continue to get this message.  Apple has determined that it is not a device problem or an Apple problem.  It has to do with ITunes.  Can anyone help?

    I am having no problems downloading from the app store today. I just tried it again. However, I read some of those other discussions as well and there have been times when the iTunes or App Store has been out of commission. Don't hold your breath waiting for Apple to acknowledge it because that is not going to happen. That is not how they operate.

    The name of this technology - WDS.
    HP Laser JET 1536 dnf MFP connect to one of this routers (copper).
    Second device (my NETBOOK) connect to second router (WiFi).
    I have good communication between NETBOOK and HP Laser JET 1536 dnf MFP via WiFI-bridge.
    In usual case NETBOOK can find (and can Ping) network printer and make a print some files.
    But my Ipad or Iphone can't find HP Laser JET 1536 dnf MFP (using Eprint). Ipad and iphone connect
    to router across WiFi.
    Please, help!

    Are you using the ePrint Mobile App, the ePrint Printer Control App, or just trying to send an email to the printer's ePrint email address?
    Does AirPrint work?

    Usually it's because you are not making internet connection via wifi.

    Additional things to try.
    Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

    We are users, not Apple. We cannot trace your phone, and neither can Apple.
    Please change every password you have. Posting your email addresses and Apple IDs on a public forum is insane. Hopefully a Mod will edit them out for you.

    iTunes will not recognize my iPad or my iPhone.  However, it will recognize several older iPods.  I am working in Windows 8.  Help.  I have tried everything I could find and even uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes. 
    I really think that my PC is not recognizing these correctly.  When I plug in my iPad it opens directly as an external storage device.  This was working properly a week ago.  What happened? 

    Everytime I try i get an error message that states that itunes has been installed incorrectly.
    What's the precise text of that message, please? (There's a few different ones I can think of that you might be getting.)

  • ITunes stopped syncing videos to iPad and iPhone

    I have a bunch of TV shows purchased from iTunes store on my laptop (MacBook Air, OS X 10.8.2) which I routinely sync to my iPad and iPhone. After ungrading my iPhone to iOS 6, the sync stopped working to both iPhone and iPad (which I did not upgrade yet) with iTunes saying that I can not sync these videos because I do not have permission to play them on this computer. This is incorrect as this computer is authorized to play them, and I can actually play them on this computer. I've done all the tricks I've found suggested - reset iPhone (which I didn't think would work since the iPad is affected too), deactivate and activate my iTunes account, and am stuck. Thoughts?

  • ITunes shows no photos in iPad and iPhone

    I got 13000 photos in iphoto they  dont show in ipad and iphone. 10.9 on mac, 7.0.3 (11B511) on iphone, 5.1.1 on ipad (it is an old one).

    Sorry if am not clear.
    !- On the mac I have in iPhoto about 13000 pictures with album, maps, faces, etc. It work very well.
    2- I go to itunes, swtch to iphone, Go to photos and verify that I have checked "All photos, Albums, Event and Faces". I press sync.
    3- After it is finished I go on my iPhone in Photos. It says: "No Photos or Videos" and few sentences describing how to get photos. For my case it means to sync using itunes.
    I have looked on the iphone during the whole process, as far as I can aproximately see during step 4 of 6 it creates an empty space for each Album, Face, etc. During step 5 it fill those spaces with the photos. During step 6, whem it say finishing sync everithing disapper and you get  "No Photos or Videos".
    As a matter of curiosity, one time I had a power failure at the beginning of step 6. After I had some of my photos normally in iphone but when it re-sync I was back to   "No Photos or Videos"..
    It is exactly the same on the ipadbut but the wording of the message is different having the same sense.
    Note that before Maverick, on Mountain Lion, it worked quite normally.

    I have tried several times to share my music between devices.  Nothing works.  I keep getting message ipad or iphone need itunes 11.1. When I tried to do that all I could get was an option to email the download link. When I opened the email, it was the same page, no download option available.  We are getting ready to go on vacation and would really like to leave laptop at home, but need the music!

    iTunes Store has recently been launched in India ....however search option tab seems to be missing in the app when accessed from iPad or iPhone. Also the purchase option is visible in iPad but missing in iPhone

    Gotta wonder if that's a factor.
    Just now I removed all remotes from iTunes.
    (Prefs > Devices > Forget All Remotes)
    Then I turned on Home Sharing on my iPhone.
    (Tap the gear icon in the Library selection screen.)
    Previously the iPhone was registered as a regular remote.
    So both devices are controlling iTunes via home sharing.
    Now iTunes is not crashing at all, in full-screen mode or otherwise.
    Not sure if it will last, but time will tell.

    sorry if I am double posting but couldn't find the same problem I am facing..
    I have an iMac with latest itunes and patches..
    Both Iphone and Ipad are running ios 4.2.1
    The mac is my main platform for itunes but I also use a windows XP box at work.
    I sometimes used that XP box to synch movies or books with both ipad and iphone and never had a problem as I am not synching them with that box..
    recently, when I go back to the mac, it selects "all" the application by default to synch ... I have to deselect them one by one ...
    so I have 2 questions ...
    - Why is it behaving like this ? Is there any changes made ?
    - how can I bulk delesect unwanted apps ? Currently I go on the springboard display in itunes in order to remove the application I don't want (as like this I can see the "to be" newly installed apps.

    I'm observing the same problem. iTunes is nearly frozen, especially podcasts make the system extremely slow, no downloads possible at all. Opening an album song list is also painfully slow. All this prevents me from buying from the store. Apple should be interested in this. Please note that I'm not using iTunes match!
