ITunes has no Devices section
I have the latest OS (10.9.2) running on an iMac, with the latest (just updated today) iTunes (11.1.5), and I am trying to sync my iPhone 4s (latest OS also, just upgraded this week). The problem is, I can get iPhoto to start up when I plug in my phone, I can see my phone on the list of USB devices, but iTunes won't do anything with it. In fact, there is no "devices" section on my iTunes anymore, and I can't seen to figure out why. I have 2 iPhones and an iPad that are supposed to Wifi sync, but they won't do that either. There is just no devices section anymore.
I've tried looking for fixes, but MOST of them are either for Windows or older Mac OS's, and none of them helped.
I'm not sure what to do next...

I can connect my iphone to itunes no problem and have been using itunes for a good while now.
but for some reason i find i can no longer acces the app section on my iphone. all the other sections summery, music etc are working fine.but when i click on apps windows comes up saying itunes has stopped responding and must close. i have tried other devices and have the same problem.i also have the problem report hope this helps.

I accidently deleted the file folder audio books from the library and from teh device section in iTunes how to replace
Edit > Preferences > General tab, tick Books. Audiobooks are synced from the Books tab of the device.

Through damage, loss and resetting computers, my iTunes has synced itself to 5 devices (which I believe is the max) but I currently have my 6th iPod touch and need to know how to keep all this music and put it onto this other iPod. Do I create another Apple ID? Is it possible?
You can have 10 devices associated with your iTunes account for iCloud purposes. See:

I see the "Connect to iTunes" screen and the device appears in iTunes. Every time I connect to iTunes, iTunes says my device is in recovery mode and has to be recovered so I do so. The same recovery message shows in iTunes after iTunes is complete. I have a iPod touch 64gb. I have no idea what OS is on it now that iTunes has tried to recover it and erased all info.

ITunes no longer shows 'Podcasts' item under iPhone device section.

iPhone 4 (32GB)
iOS version 4.3.3
iTunes for Windows 7 (64-bit) Version 10.3.1.55
I have iTunes set to manually manage my music and podcasts. Previously I had done this by clicking on the "Podcasts" item under the iPhone device section. Here I would delete podcasts I had previously listened to and drag new podcasts from the "podcasts" item under the Library section. As of today, when I connect my iPhone to my computer, it no longer lists a "podcasts" item under my iPhone in the Devices section.
Now I can't fine a place to delete old podcasts. I also do NOT want to use iTunes sync function for podcasts. Anyone else having this issue?
-MikeJust found out. You select the podcast page on your iPhone 4. You drag your finger, from right to left, over the screen, just like you do to delete e-mails. The delete option will present itself. Touch the delete button and confirm. The podcast will be deleted.

Itunes has stopped working when i select podcasts on device sync page
since upgrading to 10.1, i cannot select podcasts from the device sync page w/o itunes crashing with the message "itunes has stopped working"

i saw that the ati video driver is the cause of crashing when accessing the store, but i haven't seen this problem reported here. i have a nano 3rd gen & touch 3rd gen & this happens with both.

I've seen similar symptoms produced in the past when a podcast file is damaged, but it's much rarer to see that cause of trouble nowadays.
If it is a podcast file causing you grief, Jim's technique from the following post might be of some assistance when it comes to trying to track the problem file(s) down:

iPad1 can not install software 4.3.2 update - message - due to corrupt backup - but when I go to delete backup there is no backup in the device section of itunes under preferences
The problem was cured by going to <user>/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup and moving the files from that folder to desktop and the ipad backed up and the software installed

After upgrading to the latest editon iTunes, the text associated with syncing any device is gone. The buttons are there but no text. Also the toolbar for iTunes has disappeared.
That's consistent with trouble with the Segoe UI fonts on your system.

I was restoring my iPhone 4 when it showed to connect to itunes. i did, and got the message,"itunes has detected a device in recovery mode, please restore your device before it can be used with itunes" after i clicked the restore button. the message kept showing up, and i only had the option of updating and restoring. i waited three hours for it to restore, but there was no response with the iphone. Was advised to uninstall mobile device helper because a window kept popping up about every 45 seconds saying it had stopped working.Uninstalled it that took care of that problem,but now I have a new one.I can't access the iTunes store.Every time I click the store icon a window pops up saying iTunes has stopped working.Any suggestions anyone.

*i've managed to download quicktime, but am still unable to download itunes. after reaching a certain point in downloading itunes, (about 1/3 of the way?) it stops at "copying files", and my computer freezes and i have to hold the power button in order to shut it off and do anything, or i get a popup asking me if i want to change something so itunes can finish downloading. i click "yes", but then the download stops completely and i get a message saying "itunes has finished downloading, but with errors" and it tells me to download it again.

but the fault module name changes on me. sometimes it's kernel32.dll, and sometimes it's something else, and i've already tried using task manager /find str but it doesn't help. -
Before I un-install itunes has anyone had a problem getting an ipad mini to show up in itunes as a device when connected to the computer? My old ipad shows up but not the new mini.
