ITunes has not installed properly

I just recently went to upgrade to iTunes 11 but during the process it came up with error then it continued to download but now after it finished iTunes won't open saying there is an error. I'm currently running windows 7 I just want to know why it's not working I tried also updating QuickTime but still same problem there was a error in download. What can be done. I can't even upgrade my phone now cause it won't open. Plz help.

Many thanks, that's perfect.
iTunes.exe entry point not found. The procedure entry point AVCFPlayerEnableHardwareAcceleratedVideoDecoderKey could not be located in dynamic link library AVFoundationCF.dll. Second message says iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes error 7 (Windows error 127)
Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7,now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP,head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (If you've got XP, although the procedure is for Vista and 7, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

Everytime I try to install 64 bit ITunes on my window8.1 it says that it has not installed properly. I don't know what can I do, or where do I go next. Please help, I am lost.

I have a similar question.  I am trying to install 64-bit iTunes on Windows 7 Professional.  I click on the download button and specify some folder in which to save the installation file, iTunes64Setup.exe, and Apple thinks it has downloaded iTunes64Setup.exe, but that file is not where I asked for it to be put (or anywhere on my hard drive, if I search for it).  I have tried downloading to many different places, both with and without requesting news, updates, special offers, etc., and have had no luck at all with anything I tried.  This is extraordinarily frustrating and I have wasted a lot of time.  Please help me get iTunes64Setup.exe onto my computer somehow.  Thank you.

  • I have downloaded itunes numerous times with no success. When I click the icon it says that "itunes has stopped working" and then says that "itunes was not installed properly. It provides an error message code, but it overlayed by another message.

I downloaded itunes. It initially indicated that the download was successful, however, when I click the itunes icon, it says "ituns was not installed properly". It then gives me the message "itunes has stopped working"

Not completely sure. But if you think it is an iTunes issue...... follow through this: Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
ALSO, if you feel like all your music will be gone as well follow through these 2:
    > Downloading past purchases from App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
    > How to use your iPod to move your music to a new computer
IF YOU THINK ITS A COMPUTER ISSUE, RESTART YOUR COMPUTER BEFORE DOING ALL THIS.

  • Tried to upgrade and after uninstalling and reinstalling several times, keep getting "procedure entry point could not be located in dynamic link library" followed by "iTunes was not installed properly"  Error 7.....Help, please??

Tried to upgrade as instructed and after uninstalling and reinstalling (even back to the former iTunes which I was happy with)several times, keep getting message "Procedure entry point could not be located in dynamic link library"  followed by "iTunes was not installed properly"  "Error 7".    Help, please??

Entry point errors can usually be fixed by deleting the offending dll, then repairing the component it is part of from the programs and features control panel. Unfortunately you neglected to include the detail of which dll is mentioned.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

I tried updating my itune program. Now all I get is the following message "Itunes was not installed properly. Please reinstall itunes. Error 7 (Windows error 126). WHAT can I do to get back to where my itunes program is running again?
I have uninstalled the proram and tried reinstalling and get the same error message. The other error message I get is "The program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem".  I have tried that twice with no luck. Can someone help me get my music back???

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

  • ITunes is not installed properly. If you wish to import or burn CDs you need to reinstall iTunes .

I have installed iTunes on my new Windows 8 laptop and I get the "iTunes is not installed properly.  If you wish to Import or burn CDs you need to reinstall  iTunes."
I have worked with Dell technicians and we have re-installed iTunes numerous times.  We modified the Registry by adding the Upper Filters key and we removed the CD player in Device Manager and allowed it to be automatically reinstalled by the computer.  All of this failed.
    Please help!

    Hello ,

  • Beyond Frustrated with Error 7, itunes was not installed properly....

This past Monday I started my computer as normal after turning it off the night before. I noticed when turning it off that several updates were being installed but  this happens occasionally so i thought nothing of it. After starting my computer Monday, Error 7 popped up saying itunes was not installed properly and could not be installed. I researched this and after many uninstall attempts on my own and at the advice of another person in this community having the same issue, I installed Revo and uninstalled all the components of itunes. I used several of the scans that were offered as well to make sure that everything Apple was removed from my computer. I have now done this 6 times. Each time, I restart my computer, download itunes and get the same error. Something like I don't have the privileges to download Apple support... Regardless I am extremely irritated and have no clue as to what I am doing wrong.  Please someone tell me what to do. Thanks.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

  • ITunes does not install properly, 'iPod Service' could not be installed

During an iTunes update to latest version. The update failed, I downloaded manually and reinstalled but it still failed. I remove all apple applications from the PC. redownloaded iTunes and reinstalled again. This time I got the message 'Service 'iPod Service'(iPod Service) could not be installed. etc'.
I am an administrator I can install services.
I am using Windows XP Service Pack 3, using Norton Internet Security as a virus protection and firewall. Norton has been installed for 6 months and iTunes has been updating okay until the current update.

I've got the same problem. What's with Apple? You'd think they could send out an update that works. But, that hasn't happened in years. Tell us what to do, Apple! This is ridiculous!

    Hi clinton86,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! I understand that are receiving an alert when trying to import a CD to iTunes and are being asked to reinstall iTunes. iTunes and all of its components must be removed in a specific order when uninstalling from a Windows computer. Please use the following article as a reference.
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923
    1. Remove iTunes and related components from the Control Panel
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.
    I hope this helps,

  • ITunes was not installed properly.  If you wish to import or burn CDs you need to reinstall iTunes

With Windows 7 I have completely deleted anything that was associated with Apple, Help, Support, you name it.  It was verified nothing Apple.  Reboot took place.  I reinstalled iTunes per instructions and once again I got the following:

    Oviously something is amiss.

Having finally found a post to the same situation, I ran diagnostics and believe I have the same problem as this post.  Here is the diagnostic report:
