Itunes has old apple id. Cannot remove it

I'm trying to download updates to apps on my phone and it won't work. This is because I have an old apple id and I can't get it to change. Please help. I threw my phone on the ground after multiple attempts. I thought that this was fixed at the apple store. i don't want to go back, I've been 3x in the last two weeks.

that is because the app you are trying to update was downloaded with that old ID and can only be updated with that ID. you either update with the old ID or delete the app and download it with the new ID again

I have an Iphone, and Icloud has an old Apple ID that I have no access to the email account any longer.
How do I get this changed>

If the old ID ("email acccount") is yours, and if it is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

TWO Questions about the new TV shows rental with iTunes and Old Apple TV

Hello all. Been trying to find some FAQs or something but think only got partial answers, so I hope I can get some here, using 'Glee' as an example:
1. Can the (old) Apple TV rent new TV shows available? E.G. Glee Season 2?
2. If I use iTunes 10 to rent an episode (of Glee HD), can I play it on my TV via my (old) Apple TV? Like in the form some kind of streaming?

You may be right, I'm just thinking there is no movie rental "movie menu" option on the current Apple tv either, but one can still rent movies.
Unless the tv show downloads are specifically designed to block usage on certain devices or there is something different about them, I would have thought that tv show rentals could be enabled at the itms end by adding a rental option on the specific tv show page, just as movies are done now.
If I were in the US, I probably wouldn't be holding my breathe for tv show rentals but I'm not convinced I'd rule them out either.

Have new 'puter(Win7) installed iTunes, deauthorized old 'puter(WinXP) cannot sync iPod or iPhone

I searched for an answer to this problem and could not find one, hard to believe. There must be a way to use your Phone/Pod on a new computer without losing all your Playlist, Apps, etc.....

These are two possible approaches that will normally work to move an existing library to a new computer.
Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
If you have an iOS device that syncs with contact & calendar data on your computer you should migrate this information too. If that isn't possible create a dummy entry of each type in your new profile and iTunes should offer to merge the existing data from the device into the computer, otherwise the danger is that it will wipe the information from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data.

Apple TV cannot pay this song

Hi all,
I have an Apple TV which is sync'd with my computer and logged into my itunes account. My wife has a macbook and her own itunes account. I can play all my music through the ATV with no problems. However, when we connect (stream) my wife's machine and try and play we get an error for all of the music she has downloaded from itunes - simply saying Apple TV cannot play this song. I presume this is a DRM issue as non protected (ripped) songs play just fine.
I have tried de-authorising all machines on her account and then re-authorising her machine. No luck. Is this because the ATV is using my itunes account? If so, is there a way to "pair" the two accounts?
Any help appreciated...

You need to sync your wife's machine with the Apple TV, this will take her iTunes account information over to the Apple TV and then allow the music to play.

Ahhh, a number of anti-virus programs have issues with programs that use libraries that may look like virus signatures. Hardware damage can cause software problems in programs open when the hardware problem occurs by causing electrical impulses that destroy parts of the software. The short answer is it would be a good idea to have a really good technician make sure the computer is correct and then transfer the content of the hard drive to a clean hard drive and reinstall programs that don't pass checksum tests.
The total of what you say is a system that could use a careful going over...make sure you are working from a stable and solid base.

How do I remove an old phone number from my macbook imessage. My apple ID does not show the number anymore but I cannot remove it from the imessage accounts. Its driving me mad !

Can someone please help me to remove an iphone telephone number from my imessage application. I no longer have a phone which I registered on my apple ID as a second phone. I have been on my apple ID and it does not seem to be there but cannot remove it from imessage, which still has it as an option to connect to. I am concerned that someone else who inherite this old phone will see my messages if I accidentally enable it again. Turn off iCloud completely

As I went to bed last night, I thought the same thing as you, to try a system restore. Otherwise, to answer the rest of your question, in XP, the location of the Update is in your Program Files/Apple Software Update.
To find the hidden files that may be stopping you from disabling the updater, and doing a clean install, go to:
My Computer, and on the Menu bar, click Tools/Folder Options/View/Show Hidden Files and Folders/click Apply/OK then double click on your main drive (C:) then Documents and Settings/your user name/Application Data/ and delete the Apple computer folder with it iTunes and Preferences.
Also in that previous views Local Settings/Application Data/Apple (Update Software)and also Apple Computer/iTunes.
Go back to Documents and Settings (again from C: drive mode) click on All Users/Application Data/Apple and if you open up Installer Cache, you will also see that it has an Apple Updater in it (unless it was uninstalled on the original uninstall). Also from that Application Data window, you will see Apple Computer Folder which has previous iTunes info that needs to be deleted. Some of these folders may be gone, but at least you can check to see, to make sure.
Here is a link from another post, to confirm or help clear up any of my paths/solutions.
When you've done all that, restart your PC, and I would run CCleaner (the free version links are just below the Buy and Download button) just to clean things up, and try your re-install.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Assuming this is not the first time you have used your Apple TV
You might try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Also try restarting the router.
If the problem persists, try a restore, you may want to try the previous procedures several times before doing this.
If restoring from the Apple TV doesn't help, try restoring from iTunes using a USB cable.
If this is a new Apple TV, in addition to trying the above, it may also be that your network router is not allowing access to the timeserver, check that your router allows access over port 123.
