'Itunes has stopped working' keeps popping up whenever connected to itunes store
So whenever I try to connect to the iTunes store, or if ITunes is trying to automatically update from the store, 'iTunes has stopped working' pops up. Tried EVERYTHING suggested in the community forums, from adding/moving dll files, reloading iTunes, safe mode start, disabling video drivers, moving iTunes profiles, etc. etc. I even went into the Preferences>Store and unchecked everything to do with updates from the Store. I still can't stop iTunes from crashing. Only thing that works is to disconnect from the internet. I can then open up iTunes, however do not have access to the store, so I can play my songs, but can't buy new ones ,or update my songs with any that I purchased on my iphone. I have been dealing with this for about 3 weeks now. My daughter has iTunes set up on another account on the same PC and it also crashes. Using iTunes 11.4, Windows 7 x64. Using Kaspersky - iTunes is 'allowed'. Have had Kaspersky for 3 years now. My son has a mac air, no issues. I have wasted far too much time on this issue. Any help would be appreciated. Is there anyone that actually works at Apple that can answer these questions? They put out all of this software and have no complaints about taking our money when we purchase songs, but we have no way of directly contacting any of them for assistance to issues, unless we have purchased an Apple item in the past year. Nice to have the community, but at some point an apple expert should get involved!

Running Windows Vista Home Premium - Service Pack2
iTunes has always worked beautifully - opened it yesterday and said upgrade was available so I did and upgrade seemed to be successful - no errors and program launches and all my music, TV programs, Movies, etc, were there. Audio works well. Tonight I tried to play a movie and got the Windows iTunes has stopped working and searching for solution (which there is none) and closing the warning box closes iTunes. iTunes used to launch a "separate" black window for my movies/TV - I seemed to get a black background before everything freezes. Not happy. Thanks for any help - I tried to upgrade quicktime just to make sure it wasn't lagging behind the iTunes upgrade but that didn't help.Let's try the following user tip with that:

My yahoo.co.uk e-mail account has stopped receiving new mail. I have deleted the account and reinstalled but after receiving a few new e-mails it has stopped working again. I cannot delete mail and my 'sent' box is empty. I can access Yahoo mail via the web but would like to continue using Mail. What setting should I use (my son had a look at the problem and may have altered some specs). Connection Doctor indicates I am connected OK. Any suggestions?
well, everything appears to have resolved itself. Let me put this down in case it is of use to other iphone/gmail types.
1. apparently I must have had either a lot of different computers/devices accessing gmail at the same time and it locked me out. As sailman says above, what precisely is locked out is a mystery, but in my case it was my pc/outlook, my apple mail 4.1 and my iphone. Web access worked fine
2. when i ran the https://www.google.com/accounts/DisplayUnlockCaptcha command I had to do it on both my pc and my mac and eventually they came back up. The iphone was last, and took at least 24hours
3. one thing that google doesn't communicate well is that you can sync your contacts and calendar by setting the iphone up via an exchange account, i.e. http://www.google.com/support/mobile/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=138740 . Then you need to set up mail separately by adding it as an "other" type of account - i.e http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=77702 -
I upgraded to a Droid Maxx about 2 weeks ago and all seemed well. Last Friday, I started receiving an "Unfortunately, Messaging has stopped" error message randomly--sometimes when I was writing a text, sometimes when I would open other apps, there was no rhyme or reason to when it would occur. Now it also appears that I am not receiving some of my texts. I called Verizon Support who told me that they are experiencing this problem on several devices and that she was going to forward me to someone for help. 20 minutes later, no one had picked up and I had to leave. So I thought I would try here to see if Verizon has come up with a fix for this, if I should get another phone, or if they are working on a software update or something. Help, I really liked this phone until now!
Hello,
I am using the messaging app that was preloaded with the phone, the green face icon. I do not have an "Android Keyboard" app, but I have cleared the cache on the "Messaging" app, several times. I have also gone to the Verizon store where an associate did a soft reboot, telling me that would work. A very short time later, the error message started appearing again--so this did not work either.
The error message comes very sporadically. Sometimes several in a few minutes, other times not for hours. -
How do I get rid of "Apple Photo Streams.exe has stopped working" on Windows 7
The error message "Apple Photo Stream.exe has stopped working" keeps popping up when I start my PC which has a 64 bit Windows 7 OS. How do I get rid of this?
I saw that uninstalling and then reinstalling the iCloud control panel on your computer corrects it. I did this and it worked for a while but I'm getting it again. Any ideas?? Thanks!

Windows 7 - 'iTunes Has Stopped Working' Window Repeatedly Popping Up
Hi there, I've encountered a problem that I couldn't fix myself so I'm hoping someone can impart with some knowledge.
The dreaded 'iTunes has stopped working' window pops up constantly, and continues to reappear again and again. Even navigating to this forum, finding the right place to post and typing this very question is a pain as it has popped up about 7 times since I started typing it. If I leave my laptop alone for a few minutes, I come back and there's about 15 windows open saying the same thing. This is super annoying as I'm trying to get some work done, but any ounce of productivity I have is stifled by this. I am very close to headbutting the screen before I throw my laptop into oncoming traffic on the street below.
I've tried restarting the system, shutting it down and leaving it off for a bit, ending any iTunes-related processes in Task Manager but all have failed.
I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1
HP Pavilion G6
4GB RAM
Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks.Hi there 46Villan,
I understand that you are seeing an issue with iTunes for Windows and you are getting a recurring error message on your computer. For some reason, I keep getting the "iTunes has stopped working" error message on my Dell Latitude E6520 when trying to sync photos to my iPhone 3GS. I am using Windows 7 on my 64-bit computer. iTunes will begin to optimize the photos in the folder I have directed it to (I am trying to load almost 3000 photos and videos), and it will go through optimizing all of them singularly, then get to the step where it says "optimizing" again, but does so in bigger groups. It will get to about 2000, and then the error message "iTunes has stopped working" will pop up, and say that "Windows must close the program and will search for a solution, and if it finds one, it will notify me". Why can't I sync these photos, and what can I do? Thanks so much for the help, I really appreciate it!
Same problem here! Moreover, for some reason, the pictures in my iPhone 3GS somehow have been divided into 2 folders, Photos and Medialibrary. And when I open iPhone as a folder through the explorer I can see only the Photos folder, but cannot see the Medialibrary folder which stores the photos taken before updating/upgrading the iPhone and getting separated folders!!! What the hack with all of this?!!! When I connect iPhone to PC it automatically opens iTunes and starts syncronizing it, but at the process of OPTIMIZING the photos (and according to the number of photos it shows, I see that it tries to syncronize that invisible Medialibrary folder) the process suddenly stops and error message pops out Tried the sync test, tried the button DEBUG in that pop out message, but NOTHING HELPS!!! Also, when I open the Medialibrary in my iPhone, the screen get sblack all through scrolling it down, only the video clips are shown there... >.<
So, could you, apple developers, please, explain WHAT THIS PROBLEM IS ABOUT?!!!!!! FIX IT! I am getting ****** of to spend hours at the computer and reading those lame advises which do not help at all! I have my own things to do except reading your support websites. And I payed for the product ready to use, but not a halfproduct which problems should further be solved somehow by users.. -
Please HELP, "iTunes has stopped working" error after connecting iPod video
People please help me out! I have a Razer Blade gaming laptop with Windows 8 64bit.
I have an iPhone 5, iPad 2 and an iPod video (80GB). I had some weeks from not connecting the iPod to my computer, but this morning that I did so I can upload some new music to it, iTunes just crash, I get the "iTunes has stopped working" error message when I connect the iPod video. I do not have this problem with either the iPhone 5 or the iPad 2, when I connect these, iTunes works fine, once I connect the iPod, then all goes down
Procedures that I already tried and that were unsuccessful to solve the problem:
Uninstall Quicktime
Uninstall iTunes and reinstall
Reset the iPod (several times)
Delete TEMP files on computer
Restart the computer (several times)
Use a different cable and a different USB port
The iPod is working fine, if I plug it to my car stereo or if I use it with headphones it works great, no problems nor errors. My computer also identify the iPod as a hard disk, no error messages from Windows, it is just the freakin' iTunes that freezes everytime that I plug the iPod
PLEASE HELP ME OUT, I've searched forums on this particular issue but with no luck.
Thanks very much!It is only when I attempt to add a song to my iPod once plugged in that I receive the error "Itunes has stopped working" and forces me to exit the program, without the song being successfully transferred.
Do you have the "Convert to 128 kbps AAC" preference enabled for syncing to the iPod, laur?
If so, it's quite plausible that you've got the iTunes 10.1.0.54 bug and we need to get you updated to 10.0.1.56 as per the following document:

Adobe Flash Player 11.6 r602 has stopped working
I get this message whenever I try and watch a video, same message for any page that uses flash, same message no matter which browser I'm using. This problem began with version 10, and I was using older versions of Flash Player until the other day when it would no longer work due to security issues--the message was that the older version of flash would no longer work...I needed to update the player. So, I did, and we're back to the same problem of Flash Player has stopped working message popping up over and over again. It doesn't seem to be the browsers since I get the same message in all of them. Possibly it is the hardware acceleration, but the two pathways to disabling hardware acceleration don't work. When I try to see the current version (so I can right click and get to settings), the version won't show. The other strategy, right cliking on the video, also won't work because the video won't show after Flash Player has stopped working. My graphics card is a Radeon x1950, and I'm running 32 bit Vista Home Premium. There is a ton of information on line about dealing with a balky flash player, but nothing that seems to address this problem. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance. RAS

PS, sorry, I wasn't paying attention and first posted this in "installing flash player."
One more thing....when I go to Flash Player Find Version page, the video does not show up, nor does the version....two big blank spaces. But Flash Player is installed.I replied over on your other post.
What browser are you using that is giving you the blank spaces on the versions page? -
Indesign "Licensing for this product has stopped working." Error: 5
I have CS4 design premium and my Indesign is giving me an error "Licensing for this product has stopped working." Error: 5 whenever I try to launch it. All the other programs work... I've gone through the multitude of steps found here. I have also reinstalled the whole Creative suite. I'm running Mavericks 10.9.5 on a Macbook Pro late 2009.
TimIn place upgrades are nothing short of a crapshoot and given the unsupported nature of CS4 you’re pretty much on your own here.
That said, you could try to uninstall, run the cleaner and reinstall but beyond that, all I can suggest is a clean install of the operating system and even that won’t put you in a supported position.
