Itunes has stopped working. This comes up everytime I launch ITUNES. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, removed support programs reinstalled support programs, created different user and problem still persists. Quicktime and Safari launch fine. Just itunes.
Itunes isn't working properly. I get this message every time I try and open Itunes. I've uninstalled, reinstalled itunes and all the support programs. Quicktime and Safari launch fine. Tried it with Nortons antivirus turned on and turned off etc. I've gone through the Apple Support file and removed the itunes preference files, I've started in safe mode and it still persists. This only started about a week ago when I changed over to my Iphone 4s. My phone loaded fine and backed up etc and now NOTHING....

I had a similar error, but relating to a different .dll file and on 32-bit Win7. I think I isolated the problem to Norton Internet Security 2012 v 18.6.0.29 - iTunes would start fine with NAV Antivirus Auto-Protect disabled but crashed if Auto-Protect was on. I tried running iTunes as administrator (right click on the icon and select "Run as Administrator"; to make this permanent right click on the icon > Properties > On the Shortcut tab, click Advanced > tick Run as Administrator) and iTunes now runs fine. Maybe give that a try?

SinceI have loaded the update, 5.1.1 my TIme Warner cable has stopped working. It gets stuck at launch all I see is the logo of TWC. I have reinstalled it, rebooted my IPAD.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. I am getting a message that the Data Execution Protection Settings are closing the itunes program. But , when I try to change the DEP settings it is not possible to do it for itunes. I have also tried to un-install and reinstall the itunes ( and apple related programs ) but that hasn't worked either. I am not sure that I have done that correctly though as I have been told it is difficult to do? Any help would be very much appreciated! Thanks!

Although I am an HP employee, I am speaking for myself and not for HP -
After downloading the newest version, 10.6.1, whenever I open itunes I almost immediately get a "itunes has stopped working" error messsage, in which the only option is to hit the "close the program" button. Simply closing the error message closes the program as well. I am operated under windows XP with the latest updates (or so the updater tells me). It seems like its getting stuck trying to send me a new user agreement because dont you have to agree to one for every new update? It just can't seem to get past that point. I tried opening it up in safe mode but that didnt work either. Any help would be greatly appeciated.
Looks like itunes was still trying to communicate with my iphone and got confused when it couldnt find it. Found this in another post and it worked great.
Solution:
Make sure you are not connected to the internet and then open itunes. Sync your phone and then enable the internet again. Then stay connected to the internet and close your itunes and reopen it. Bam problem solved.

Today i downloaded iTunes 7.1, i opened it and all seemed well, i played a few tracks etc.
but, when i plugged my ipod in i was told that iTunes has stopped working,

Just upgraded computer to Windows 7. Installed latest version of ITunes. It installed and uploaded all my items in my library.
Connected IPad2 and updated latest version. However whenever it trys to sync my contents either to my IPad, my wifes IPad or my new Iphone4S, it simply comes up with error message. I TUNES has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution to the problem... Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is found. Itunes has stopped working and iphone calendar has 10 entries for each event
"itunes has stopped working", since I tried an update which failed.
Also when I plugged in my iphone it went straight to restore and not only lost all my recent stuff as you might expect - annoying enough, but has installed at least 10 entries for each event. How do I get rid of them? Tried deleting the event but it doesn't take away every single entry. (And can I get my recent stuff back?)
These are probably diffferent problems but as my name implies I'm a complete numpty when it comes to the technical terms so please, in lay terms, what should I do?Well I seem to have solved this myself...Much to my surprise!
First the itunes issue. When the itunes update screen came up again it said if you have trouble with this go to Tools (top of itunes panel) and press "download only" which I did and the rest just sort of happened. It uninstalled and then installed.. All I had to do was open each file. Checked my stuff and all there. Checked itunes store and straight in.
Iphone calendar. Not sure how this happened but it had about 25 - 30 copies of each event. I went through each calendar and by process of elimination deleted the ones that seemed to be causing the problem. I didn't lose any events but all of a sudden there was only one each of them. Bizzaire but true.
This is a very rare day for me. A Good IT Day. -

I've seen similar symptoms produced in the past when a podcast file is damaged, but it's much rarer to see that cause of trouble nowadays.
