ITunes help isn't working - anyone know what to do?
When I open help in iTunes I get the usual template but it's blank. If I type in a phrase in the search box it will show the rotating bar thing to show it's busy but never comes back with anything. I get the same thing in Mail as well. has anyone come across this? Tried a search of this discussin group but didn't see anything.
As the problem exists also in other programs, it might be a corrupted preferences file.
Go to ~/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences and trash the following files:
com.apple.help.plist
com.apple.helpui.plist
com.apple.helpviewer.plist
I suspect the first one is the culprit, but it does no harm removing all three.
After restarting 'Help', the Helpviewer makes new ones.

I looked in Settings > General > Usage, and it seems that it was only Programmes that was resuced after cleening that up.... HOPE you have more surgestions!? -
A few days ago, I plugged my ipod touch into my computer to charge it, and also add new music I purchased. When I unplugged the USB cable ( I disconnected it from the ipod first, as I was told to do) I went to look through my music. There was a notification, I don't remember what it said verbatum, but the gist was "177 songs could not be properly synced onto your device". Now, I'm missing music from my itunes library. For example, I purchased two full albums from the same band, now over half the songs from the albums are just gone, they are no longer on my ipod or itunes. Does anyone know what happend, and/or how I can fix this? Please and thank you
P.S. This happend after installing itunes 6, I've noticed many other people are also having problems with it as wellCould be several things. Without more information like what was the wording of the error message I will not even guess.

Help! The Apps Do not work, anyone know what to do?
Ok, i download the Myspace and the AIM App. As soon as I click on one of them it quickly takes me right back to the menu. Anyone else having this problem/ know what to do?
Just try restarting. I went through the same panic attack when some of mine didn't work, but for me, if I open 15 apps then all others opened crash (the number of apps seems to vary for different people), and after I restarted the one I wanted to try worked just fine. I'd have to assume this'll get fixed in the future however.

I have tried a zillion times to update itunes to 10.5.2 but it won't work. Under the "About iTunes" section it says that I'm still using itunes 10.4. What I'm really trying to do is update my iphone 4 software but itunes says I can't do that without first updating the itunes software, which it won't let me do. Anyone know how to fix this? Much appreicated.
Look at the system preferences for iTunes 10.5.3. Are you running 10.5.x (Leopard) or later? If you are then please repost in the iTunes for Mac forum.

If not successful and you can't turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for at least an hour, try the above again.
- If still not successfully that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. -

Im trying to listen to a book we downloaded from amazon. When we click on it it says we need to enter out audible username and password. I used my apple id username and password and it says it is not correct. I reset this and used it again and it still does not work. Any ideas?
Launch iTunes. From the menu bar click Store / View My Account then click Edit Payment Information.
Make sure the Security Code for you credit card is available and the expiration date is correct, then click Done. -

See if you can force the phone into recovery mode:
Try turning the phone off using the Sleep/Wake button, then the slide to power off. If you are unable to do that, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When your phone turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons. Then, leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new. -
My ipad mini doesn't have a web browser! Help. I can't access the internet or iTunes or the app store. The web browser icon isn't even there.Anyone know what to do?
I'd maybe try doing a search for Safari on your iPad first (swipe to the left to search). If it shows up in that search you can go to Settings > General > Reset and choose 'reset home screen layout' which will put it back where it would be by default.
All else fails? Restore it. -
I have just got an iPhone 4s on vodafone. I'm having problems with 3G, at the top it says Vodafone E, usually it would say 3G wouldn't it? At the moment my 3G isn't working. Anyone know what to do?
Yeah it does have that on/off switch and it's turned on. Siri won't work for some reason, I don't know if it's to do with this E thing?

I just got a new macbook and before i had to sync all my photos from my old mac onto a bunch of flash drives and most are on my phone. Ive successfully imported the flash drives and the photos on my camera roll to my new macbook iPhoto but not the other 1,000+. My computer isn't recognizing it maybe because its in 'mac events'. Does anyone know what to do? Please help it would be greatly appreciated especially since i don't have much room left on my iphone anymore. thank you.
You'll need third party software to get the images not on your camera roll. iExplorer is one such app, but there are others. Search on MacUpdate

I just repaired my sons ipod touch and it is passcode protected and he dosent remember the passcode and it says to go to itunes and that does nothing does anyone know what I can do?

When I go to yahoo with my iPhone 6 the pages will not enlarge when I pinch them but it works on my iPad. Does anyone know what's wrong? Also the same on boyfriends phone he's eith Virgin and I'm with Vodafone do it cant be the providers.
Thanks for the link but none of those described the problem. No error message pops up. It just says "Accessing Itunes Store" but it never actually does. This only occurs when my iPhone is plugged in though.
