ITunes, How do I burn a video to an iPod

Hi!
1st time user. I bought my daughter an iPod Touch and I want to put Gossip Girl 2nd season onto her iPod. Can I purchase it on my iTunes and then transfer it to her iPo? I guess my question is "Will iTunes recognize the 2nd iPod so I can transfer the videos to it? Thanks!!

Certainly, the fastest way to do this is by acquiring something like Toast, which will convert most videos to DVD. (I purchased my copy through a MacUpdate bundle, at a cut-rate price.)
I haven't used it, but Apple's iDVD will do the job, as well.

Also the program churns and churns, till I'm able to do something else. Why so slow? Is there any render button?

Here is a step by step on how to create a DVD from iMovie 10 using iDVD 7.1.2. If you do not have iDVD, you can probably substitute Toast (or one of the programs Pieter mentioned) everywhere I used iDVD (I don't have Toast so can't verify this).
    1. Create a project in iMovie 10.0.1
    2. Go to File>Share>File... and for Size choose Large 540P (960 x 540) and click Next
    3. Choose a location on the hard drive to save the file to.
    4. Wait for the blue circle activity indicator to finish.
    5. In Finder, verify that iMovie created an MP4 file in the location specified in step 3.
    6. Open iDVD and click "Create New Project."
    7. Give the project a name and save it to your hard drive.
    8. Drag the file you created earlier from the Finder into your iDVD project window.
(or go to File>Import>Video... and choose your video there)
    9. Make any adjustments to drop zones, etc.
    10. Click the burn button.
    11. Insert a DVD and let it do its thing.
This produces a working DVD for me.
    Here are my software specs:
    OS X 10.9 Mavericks
    iMovie 10.0.1
    iDVD 7.1.2

We are evaluating the use of iPod touch devices to record best practice videos on our manufacturing floor and to post to an internal Moodle web site. How can you upload a video from the iPod touch to a site other than YouTube? The Moodle upload interface is expecting a file selection dialog box like windows or OSX. I do not want to have to go through an intermediary step of messing with a pc.
    Thanks!

It should be around 7 and a half gigs. In iTunes, across the bottom there should be a bar that show how much storage is being used and by what. (music, movies, apps, etc.) To make music take up less room, you can check the box to make it convert the music to 128kbps AAC. This lowers the quality, but with most earbuds and speakers, you can't even tell the difference.
The iPod touch has parental controls built in. You'll find them in Settings. I think they only work for enabling/disabling Safari, Mail, YouTube, and App Store. Here's an app that does more: http://www.mobicip.com/online_safety/ipod_touch

  • After buying and downloading videos from itunes, how can I burn them to a DVD that will play in a standard DVD player?  I have tried burning the playlist from itunes, and the disc would not play in anything I put it into.

Out of excitement, I bought both seasons of the tv show "Sym Bionic Titan" from the itunes store, since I can't find it anywhere else, in hopes of being able to burn them to dvds and watch them.  When I burned the disc from itunes, it would not play in any player I put it in.  Not my dvd player, not my ps3, nothing.  So the only place I can watch the show is on my computer, which is definitely not what I had in mind when I purchased it.  Is there a way to burn the videos to a dvd that will play in a dvd player?

Unfortunately, the recording & movie industry does not respect the rights of the people who make them money, and thus you can only use the paid-for content in ways they see fit. Even if I lived in a bunker where no one else could possibly see the movie I paid for, therefor I'm not 'sharing it illegally', I would still not be allowed in a blue moon to copy that movie to DVD for TV viewing. Someone will tell you to get an AppleTV. How about Apple give us one for free? Until this changes, people wanting to use their content in multiple locations will continue to download music & movies via torrents, legally or illegally.

  • How do I burn my videos onto dvd

I tried burning a video playlist onto DVD afterwards I tried playing it but the files could not be read. Please Help!

Movies and TV Shows purchased from iTunes Store cannot be burned to DVD in a format readable by traditional DVD Players. you are only able to burn them as data, readable by other iTunes capable computers.

  • How do I burn raw video without themes?

I just need a video to start playing without the fancy themes (very dry technical video usage so nothing fancy)....how do I do that or with vanilla theme at worst?
    I have a macbook 10.4.8
    Thanks!

Just to add to OT's advice. There is only one way within iDvd'08 itself to make a DVD with no menu whatsoever...... that's a One Step DVD (See very last option below)
This type of DVD will always play in what is called a "Koisk Mode" .... little or no user interaction after inserting the DVD into a computer or set top DVD Player.
Adding a Menu (even a basic one as described above) adds stability to playback and is highly recommended.
Another option is Roxio Toast (third party app) which can also burn a dvd w/o a menu in Kiosk Mode and that will play all movies in succession.
Another approach I often use (w/o using iDvd) to burn raw video is a set top DVD Player Recorder with Digital /FW inputs which I then connection directly to a camcorder / camera (Sony Trv900) via FW/i.Link and the deck writes to DVD-R in real time with a very basic menu that looks like this:

  • How do I burn cd's off my ipod?

I need some help. There are a couple of cds that I want to burn for a friend. However, I don't have the songs in my itunes library. Is there any software out there that would allow me to do what I need to do? I will check back and let you know if it works!! Thanks!

You need to use something like EphPod to copy the songs into your iTunes library, and then burn them to a CD. You can't burn a CD directly from the iPod.
I'm assuming you own the copyright to these tracks though, otherwise what you're doing is illegal....

  • How do i delete a video on my ipod touch?

I have 2 videos on my ipod and they wont delete!!  i have them off on itunes but they ar still on my ipod even after re-syncing...HELP

If you are running iOS 5 or later:
Delete a video:  In the videos list, swipe left or right over the video, then tap Delete.
Otherwise, you'll have to simply remove the video from your iPod via the sync process in iTunes.  Double check your setup for syncing videos from under your iPod's movie configuration pane.

  • How do you put homemade videos on an iPod using Windows???

I'm so annoyed. I spent my only phone support call to Apple trying to figure out how to get a home made video clip onto my Video iPod and they have no idea unless you are a Mac user. I have successfully put DVDs on the iPod using DVD Decrypter and Nero Recode but if you want to export a small clip, from Adobe Preimere for example, it seems impossible. Can anyone help???? I have exported a clip from Premiere and it says it's a Quicktime file but when I open the file in Quicktime Pro and "export to iPod" it will be rejected after dragging it to the iPod Library. There are programs to help you complete this task if you are a Mac user but I can't find any solution for PC. Any suggestions? I just want to be able to take a segment of video I made on a minidv camcorder and put it on the iPod. I know how to capture and edit it using Premiere but how do I save/export the clip in a file format that Quicktime and/or the iPod will recognize?

There are many options that work great for windows users. I personnaly use "Video Vault for the IPOD". My home movies where captured to the hard drive as MPEG 2. The above software will accept just about any file (DVIx, XVId AVI, DV, MPEG 1/2, WMV, Realplayer etc.) and format and convert for you. I have over 280 video files currently on my IPOD. The software is not freeware, but you get a good product for your money. It will automatically transfer the file when complete to your IPOD. Music videos take about 1 minute to convert from WMV format. TV shows in MPEG 2 format take about 6 minutes and a 2 hour movie takes about 48 minutes. It has a very fast encoder and keeps your audio and video streams in perfect snyc. Use Google and you can download a trial to try it out. It is really easy to convert videos to your IPOD. You just need the right software. I see so many MAC users stating that us "Windows" users have so few options other than "Videora". While MAc's have some very good software programs, so do we, you just need to find the right one. Good luck and stay positive. Don't hesitate if you need more help to post back.

  • How can I burn a video shot with an iPhone 4 to a CD so a Windows user can watch it?

I shot a short video with my AT&T iPhone 4 and it's stored in iPhoto 9.1.5 on my iMac running OS X 10.6.8. What do I need to do in order to burn it to a CD so I can give it to a Windows user so he can view the video on his PC running Vista? I'm not sure about the video file format needed for Windows to play the video. Thanks for any help you can provide. I know this is likely a very basic question, but nothing I've tried seems to work. Any suggestions or links to resources that can answer this question will be deeply appreciated.

You should be able to connect to their computer via your USB cable, copy the video over using Windows Explorer and the PC should be able to view it without any conversion.
When you do this, make sure they don't have iTunes set to automatically open and automatically sync when an iOS device is connected.
