If you no longer have the phone or have any Backup of it at all, you can re-download your apps and your content from the iTunes Store by logging into your Apple ID at settings> iTunes & App Store. Unfortunately you can no longer recover the data that was associated with those apps.
So far as your photos go, you can recover any photos that were in photo stream and taken less than 30 days ago by logging in with your Apple ID to settings> iCloud> photos. Unfortunately you will be unable to recover any photos from your camera roll.

If the iTunes Store sells gift certificates in your country, yes, but you'll need to provide a credit card issued in that country to make the purchase.

"If you exceed your iCloud storage limit, photos and videos won't upload to iCloud, and your library will no longer stay up to date across your devices."  Really?  Can't we support the existing "last 1k photos will be available in the cloud" model?  If we don't do this, won't this kill auto-sync of new photos from iOS devices to our libraries on our Macs (if the Mac's Photos app has auto syncing with the cloud turned on) once we go over our 5gb limit?  I have 350GB of photos in my Mac Photos library - I am not going to pay $20/month for 1tb iCloud storage.  Please advise, Apple.  Thank you.

I agree and am baffled by this also.  At first I was really excite about this new feature.  Mostly because I would be able to seamlessly sync videos along with my PhotoStream.  I just assumed there would be some systematic way to handle large libraries.  Like removing older files as the current PhotoStream does.  However, it appears that this new feature will simply 'shut down' when you reach your storage limit.  This just makes no sense to me.  I would have to double check, but I have all my photos and videos in iPhoto and stored on a 3 TB external hard drive and I think the full library is over 1 TB.  So, even if I was willing to pay $20 a month for photo syncing (which I am not) I couldn't do it because my library is too large.  Again I am just baffled why Apple cannot blend this new service with the existing PhotoSteam model.  My favorite aspect of PhotoSteam is that is uploads all my iPad and iPhone Photos to my Mac for permanent storage and it seems this is lost in the new version.

You got ripped off. You bought a hacked/jailbroken phone. That's what error 1015 means. Return it and get your money back if possible and buy a phone from a legitimate source.
Discussing jailbroken / hacked phones is forbidden by the terms of service. Jailbreaking / hacking voids any warranty and forfeits your right to support here or from Apple. You can not get help here.

I have tried everything I have read on the Internet about sync issues and restore etc and not there isn't a single song on my iPad or iPod touch. All of the songs are listed in my iTunes but are all greyed out, some have the cloud symbol next to them but lots don't and some say waiting.
Long and short is nothing will save to my devices at all.....HELP !!!!!!!?

  • What happens if a song that is unavailable in the iTunes store and gets uploaded and takes up your iCloud storage later becomes available for matching?

Will it replace the uploaded version with the 256 kbps version?

I hope so.  I've got about 1000 songs that uploaded that are in the iTunes Store and didn't match for some reason.

  • Issues with itunes/icloud and music on my Iphone 5 and PC

I had to set up my laptop (windows based pc)  as my main itunes device because my desk top died.  I installed intunes (the newest version and icloud as well.)   thought I had everything set up.  I then redownloaded all the purchased music from the itunes store and also moved all my own music (cdpurchases for many years) from an external device to the laptop and put it all back into itunes.  I set up all my playlists the way I wanted to and then synced my phone (with the new IOS 7) to the laptop.  when I got finished syncing my phone all the music appeared to be on my phone yet a lot of it had the cloud next to it and most of that did not have the album art that I so painstakingly over numerous hours made sure was on each album.  Itunes used to let me cut and paste album art that was not available from itunes into the get info section but now no matter what I did it would not install.  I was playing my music at work yesterday and a lot of the music with the icloud next to it would stop and start repeatedly.  I got home and deleted Icloud from my system which of course disabled the find my phone function.   but when I synced my phone after, it installed all the music and the album art.  Has anyone else run into these issues??  Were you able to fix the problem without deleting Icloud?
I think Icloud is a great idea but execution *****.

The songs listed in your iTunes library as "iCloud" probably refer to songs in "iTunes in the Cloud", meaning they can be re-downloaded from the iTunes store from the Purchased list on your phone.  They are not in your personal iCloud account and do not automatically sync to your phone using iCloud.
If you want to download this music to your phone, open the iTunes app, tap More at the bottom, tap Purchased, tap Music, tap Not on This iPhone at the top, then tap the download symbol (cloud with downward facing arrow).
If you don't want to see the "Cloud" designated music in your iTuens library, you can turn this off by going to iTuens Preferences>Store and unchecking "Show iTunes in the Cloud Purchases".

  • Setting up Brand New iPad 2 - iTunes Sharing and Getting Files from old iTunes Account

Greetings.  I recently purchased an iPad 2 (convert after 20 years of PC use) and have been waiting to set it up until I knew the proper way to proceed.  I have multiple questions and am hoping those of you with more Apple experience can help out a convert .
I would like to set it up with a new iTunes account so when my wife gets her iPad 2 next year we can share apps and movies we buy on iTunes.  Do you always have to sync your iPad to your PC to get your latest purchases or can you do that via the wireless connection directly on the iPad after the initial set-up?
That said, if one of us buys an app/movie, will we both have to carry it on our iPads or will they store remotely on iTunes or on our PCs?  I'm just concerned about maxing out the storage space on the iPad.  Do the purchases need to occur on your PC vs. the iPad itself for both to have the app/movie access?
I've also read about iCloud issues and syncing all calendar/contact/etc. accounts if two iPads are set-up with the same Apple ID.  What's the best way to initially configure the iPads so that you avoid this headache in the future?
Once I get all this settled and get a new iTunes shared account working, is there any way to get the movies I have in both of our old iTunes accounts into the new shared iTunes account?  Can I simply drop them on a jump drive from one PC and place them into an appropriate folder on the new PC that the iPad sync's to if it does in fact need to sync?
Again, appreciate all the help and sorry for all of the confusion and multiple thoughts.  I would just like to set this thing up once and for all the right way.
    Thanks again

1, you can (re-)download a lot of purchases directly on the iPad without having to connect to your computer - apps and ibooks can be re-downloaded (as long as they remain available), music can be re-downloaded in some countries; tv shows can currently only be re-downloaded in the US. Re-downloading
2, films are a one-time only download, so you can either download it on your computer's iTunes and sync it to your device(s), or if you download it directly on the iPad you will need to then copy it to your computer's iTunes (connect the iPad and do File > Transfer Purchases) so that you can make a backup and copy it to your other iPods, iPads etc.
3, I haven't had any problems with iCloud, but then I don't share my account so it's only my account and contacts on my iPad and iPhone.
4, you can authorise your old accounts on your computer's iTunes (Store > Authorise This Computer) and copy the films onto it : File > Add File To Library - you can't copy or transfer content to a different account (nor can you combine accounts), they will remain tied to the original account
The iPad's manual has some info about syncing and each of the built-in apps (the iBooks app is covered in the manual though it isn't pre-installed, but you can download it for free from the store) - the manual can be downloaded from here http://support.apple.com/manuals/#ipad

  • ITunes match and local library file removal?

    Hey guys,
So I'm slowly running out of space on my 128gb SSD in my MBP and I have to get rid of some music files to free up space:
I've subscribed to iTunes Match and all of my music files have been synced to iCloud. Now I was wondering, can I delete my audio files locally - will they still be made available on the cloud? Has anyone done this before - have you encountered any problems?
I do have a backup of all my local audio files.
    Any help is appreciated,
    Thom.

iTunes Match does not provide ID3 tags from the iTunes Store, so any tracks that do not have ID3 tags now will still not have ID3 tags after they are scanned and mirrored in the cloud.
If a track cannot be "matched" then it is "uploaded." To tell the difference enable the iCloud Status column in the iTunes browser by swtching to Song view and pulling down View > View Options and selecting "iCloud Status" then closing the small window.
You may delete any tracks you choose from the library and the cloud at any time.

  • How 2 sync 2 iPhones on 2 computers with two iTunes accounts and 1 library?

    Hi,
I've been searching a LOT for a suitable answer to my problem, but so far without any luck!
    This is what I've got:
1 iPhone4 syncing with one MacBook via iTunes account1 (mine)
1 iPhone3Gs syncing with one XP laptop via iTunes account2 (my girlfriend's)
1TB usb drive connected to Airport Extreme holding the entire iTunes library. All the music, apps, podcasts, etc.
Both iTunes accounts are set up so they point to the 1TB drive, but it's not without problems...
What I'd like, is for both computers to be able to "see" the iTunes library, and add files to it, that'll be accessible from each.
And still sync each iPhone with it's own iTunes account.
Is this possible? Or do I need to use the same iTunes account on all phones and computers?
What I've got, apparently, is home-sharing set up in a way that when I add content from iTunes Account1 to iTunes Account2, it gets added to the iTunes library again, and so I have a lot of doubles and, despite the size of the network drive, I'm actually running out of space.
Is there a way to avoid this?
    Best regards,
    Jakob Færch-Jensen

First off all I would recommend against shating between accounts since Aperture was not designed for this and your might encounter library corruption.
You might try this tip on Macworld.com. It requires you to use the Terminal though. Make sure you follow the commands exactly, without any typo's before you hit the enter key to execute a command. (And make a TimeMachine backup before you start.)
After you've complete this, start a new library in the place where you set the extended permissions on. Then everything should work.
A seccond tip is to setup the Aperture library on an external drive and set this volume(drive) to ignore ownership permissions.

  • How can I remove iTunes 11 and return to a functional version of iTunes?

So I was really stupid and updated my perfectly operational version of iTunes to version 11.  After discovering that version 11 is almost totally non-functional (missing a number of useful functions that someone decided were too helpful I guess), I want to delete this horrid example of software non-functionality and return to the last functional version (iTunes 10).  Please tell me there's a way to remove this software wart and return to a functional iTunes.

I found the following way to return to 10.7.  I moved the following directories and files to the desktop before I deleted iTunes 11:
    Album Artwork (folder)
    iTunes Media (folder)
    Previous iTunes Libraries (folder)
The following file is found in the Previous iTunes Libraries:
iTunes Library 2012-11-29.itl (the date on your file will vary depending on when you decided to add version 11)
The following are files found in the iTunes directory
    iTunes Library Genus.itdb
    iTunes Library Extras.itdb
Once you have copied these files to your desktop, you have to remove iTunes 11.  I used the uninstall option in CleanMyMac.
I used this explanation to return to iTunes 10.7:
Replace the iTunes 11 application with iTunes 10.7
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/20431349
    iTunes 10.7 for OS X  http://appldnld.apple.com/iTunes10/041-7195.20120912.d3uzQ/iTunes10.7.dmg
You will have to rescue your old iTunes library from your Previous Libraries folder and rename it iTunes Library.itl because a newer version of iTunes irreversibly updates your library file.  See:
https://discussions.apple.com/mesage/20401436 - turingtest2 11/2012 post on rebuilding empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash from previous iTunes library file.

    Other issues:
https://discussions.apple.com/message/20432309 - solution to mobile devices saying they need to be restored after downgrading
Once you have reinstalled 10.7, put the files and folders you copied to the desktop back into iTunes overwriting the new files that were created during the install.  Restart iTunes and you should see iTunes start to reinstall all the missing files.  This doesn't seem to recreate the playlists but I can fix that problem myself.
So far, it seems to be working.  YMMV and I'm not recommending you try this, I'm just saying that it's worked for me.
