ITunes/iCloud..?

Hello, how do I get my music from iCloud on to my iTunes, as currently they appear in my library but are shaded grey, any suggestions would be great?

Shaded grey could mean you've accidentally unchecked all your music... Go to the Songs view, then CTRL-click an empty checkbox, or use CTRL+A to select all and then use the right-click menu to Check selected tracks.

iTunes and iCloud and different accounts, you will need to delete both accounts from your device before adding the new details in their place.
For iCloud go to settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit the delete button. You can then sign back in using your correct details. For iTunes go to settings >store, tap your account ID and then sign out, you can then sign back in using your correct Apple ID.

I am a newbie here, so please forgive me if I'm not following protocol here. I searched for the word "Android" in all of the support docs. and got 0 hits! Is there a corporate policy at work here?
I know that Google and Apple (and by extension Android and iOS) are competing hard for all of us techie music lovers out there who use both ecosytems. Well, Google Play wants to have my entire music library, Apple's ever at the ready with iTunes/iCloud/Match, and now I've even gotten solicitations from Amazon which has a "Cloud MP3 Player" with purchases ready to download that I made from Amazon in 2010, before I ever dreamed of getting MP3 files instead of a physical CD. I mean the liner notes had the lyrics to the songs right? Well, I enjoy looking at lyrics. Anyways, . . .
What are the best recommendations for how to access my iCloud music library with my Android phone?
Yes, one solution is to use both Google's and Apple's services and just duplicate everything everywhere. But, I'd just like to settle on iTunes/iCloud solution, but I have a brand new Android phone that I want to use. The iPhone 5 screen doesn't come close to my Motorola Droid RAZR Max HD! :-) Sorry, all you iPhone folks. You have all the app's., so I have to latch on to somethine for a reason why I stayed with Android!

I have bought a few hundred tracks (and one movie) from iTunes before the competition started to catch up. Their Cloud service just came into Finland but I've already moved on to others. I've also bought music from Spotify, Nokia Music and Xbox Music. I've been a subscriber of Nokia Music, Xbox Music and now Google Music. I'm also a Netflix subscriber and I have a local IPTV service that also provides movie rentals from various providers - and guess what, they also work on all platforms.
The reality is that today was the first time in a long long time that I've actually even bothered to open iTunes. Lack of platform support will destroy iTunes in the long run. Apple is starting to look like Microsoft once did. Today you can even get Office for almost every platform - even mobile devices.
Limited access and/or features is also one of the biggest reasons that turn people away from legit services. DRM protected music was the reason I had over 20,000 MP3s before it was removed from iTunes. When that happened I deleted all the old files and became a honest, paying customer.

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)

If you are using iMessages or FaceTime, you will also need to log out and into your ID there too.

I have done upgrade to 8.1.2. Now iPad a iPhone will will not connect to iTunes, iCloud or do updates on apps.Shows message "unable to connect" or "error in connecting" as well as "unable to verify". How can this be sorted?

I have tried signing out and in, still does not work.
Still just get the previously mentioned "messages".
I wanted to restore, but then you have to turn off "find my ipad/iphone" but this is not allowed, as I cannot connect to the itunes/icloud or app store. The units work with current apps. EG; email etc, and with apps that do not require current updates.

I'm afraid one phone will end up with the other person's cell phone ap's and information on it...since this happened once before.
How do I save them separately but also keep the ability to share the same account music, aps, etc.
I'm wanting to back up the phones so we can download the new operating system next.

Depending on when you originally set up your Apple ID, you may have @mac.com, @me.com, and @icloud.com email addresses associated with your account, but all mail sent to those addresses should still come in to the same iCloud account (you can test this to make sure by sending yourself emails at those addresses). In Mac Pro, wondering about iCloud; I changed iTunes in Lion so sharing with iTunes in bootcamped Windows 7/8 would be possible but found that in Windows the Bonjour service is required though I uninstall it because have never had any iPads or iPhones or iPods to sync with.
Current practice is to copy new purchases from one OS iTunes library to the other because though they have same user and password (same account) iTunes is not able to do this for me. I do not know whether I even want to use iCloud if it can solve this OS sync, if it means that all my iTunes data must go into cloud/server storage.
To further confuse me, there are changes in Windows 8 where 5GB Microsoft SkyDrive is going to be object share, send, get/put able.
