Itunes icon and usb icon on screen ........
The iTunes icon and usb cord icon shows on my screen to plug it into the computer. When I do so iTunes tells me I must first type in my password on my ipod so itunes can connect to my ipod. The problem being that the itunes and usb cord icons are on my screen and I am unable to get to the password to type it in...HELP PLEASE
Your phone is in recovery mode; you will NEED to restore the device by connecting it to iTunes. If you ever synced with iCloud then you may have contacts saved there, otherwise...unforunately your data will be lost

That is its way of telling you to connect it to your computer, and open iTunes (if it doesn't open automatically).

You can try holding both the home and power buttons at the same time until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go. -

Try updating my ipad 2, pop up with error 1602 and now my ipad is stuck with the itune and USB icon on the screen. I tried to restart it, but screen still comes up the same.

iYou are in Recovery Mode. Follow the instructions below to recover your iPad.
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button.
5. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad. Data will be lost. -
Just installed 7.02 and only get itunes icon and usb cord. Why should I have to connect to itunes ? If I do, will I lose all of my photos ? Shouldn't I get free service for their software problem ?
You don't have to update to 7.02 if you don't want to, though this update does fix a few glitches in 7.0.
Before updating, you should always back up your data - it's standard practice. I've never lost pictures in an iTunes update.
Perhaps you could elaborate on the comment, "Just installed 7.02 and only got itunes icon and usb cord." What problem are you having, exactly.
Your next question confuses me. "Shouldn't I get free service for their software problem ?." What free service were you looking for? You can always go to your local Apple store for help, or ask questions here for free. -
