ITunes-Icon on iPhone-6 is missing
The iTunes-Icon (2 music-notes in a white circle within a pink-purple square) is
missing on my iPhone. Maybe I've it inadvertently erased. I can't find it in the
app-store. Has anyone any idea how to get it back?

Thank you, stedman1. As you probably know: I've meant "iTunes Store"-Icon.
When I lookup "Settings - General - Restrictions": they are "Off".
If I touch on "Off" all apps are shown in a shady way. If I activate "Restrictions", I'd
have to introduce a restriction-code. On the iPhone-6 of my wife the
restrictions are also set to "Off" and she's having the "iTunes Store"-Icon displayed.
I can get to the iTunes-Store by touching the "App Store"-Icon, search for
"iTunes Store", then I can visit the iTunes-Store. However that is
quite cumbersome and I'd rather have to "iTunes Store"-Icon as a
separate app.
Any other suggestions?

Not sure why you are typing in all caps with this, which on the internet means you are yelling or shouting, and I don't respond well to anyone who yells or shouts at me - not when I'm trying to help.
Your daughter transferring the apps in your iTunes library to her iPhone should not have any affect on this. There is no device limit for the number of iPods and/or iPhones that can be synced with the same iTunes library and iTunes account on the same computer.
Were all apps that are currently in your iTunes library purchased with the same iTunes account - with your iTunes account? -

is there any way to restore the icon???It's not possible to delete the iTunes icon. Perhaps the icon has moved over to another page...though. Have you filled up all 11 of your pages with apps?

Make sure your phone is connected to the computer and iTunes is open
1. Visit Instagram.com from your computer web browser
2. Click "Download in the app store"
3. It will download and show up in your iTunes
4. Highlight and sync the app to your iPhone (note: it will not show up on your phone, even after it says syncing is complete).
5. In iTunes, select the Instagram icon and click "Remove" or "Uninstall"
6. Click Accept and Uninstall when it asks you to confirm as it will remove instagram and its data from your iPhone
7. Disconnect the phone from the computer
8. Manually reboot the phone after exiting all apps
9. Upon re-start, you will be able to access the app in the App Store, and install it -

Thanks for any advice.There are multiple reasons why the update failed, unless you can provide an error message/code that came up then nodbody will know.
Now your iPhone is in recovery mode and will now need to be connected to a computer with iTunes and restored to factory settings. This will install the update at the same time.
If you have a back up of the iPhone before the issue occurred then after the restore to fqactory settings you can restore the back up to the iPhone. If there was no back up then I'm sorry your data is gone. -

You might want to try performing a hard reset of your device; this will restart it and generally clear out any errors, it will not erase any data on your device.
Press and hold both the home button and the lock button (the button on the top right of the iPhone) for several seconds until the Apple logo appears. -

Sounds like a 'stuck' Shift key. You could try to take the key off and put it back on yourself (should be some info on that from ifixit) or just take it to your local Apple Store and have them fix it.

After updating to iOS 7 there is no app store icon or iTunes icon on my iPhone 4s.
I recently updated to iOS 7 and a few days leter I realise there is no appstore icon or iTunes icon.
I searched for them in spotlight but they were not there.
I even asked siri to open appstore but it said "you don't seem to have an app named appstore"
I use an iPhone 4s.Figured it out. I couldn't find mine anywhere! But apperantly I had turned it af in restrictions. When I turned it back on the app was back!

Thank you so much for providing the details about the duplicate song issue you are experiencing. It sounds like you would like to remove the duplicate songs that will not play on your iPhone, but when you connect it to iTunes, iTunes only shows you one copy of the song on your iPhone.
In this situation, I recommend deleting the individual songs that do not play directly from your iPhone. I found the steps to do this on page 61 of the iPhone User Guide (http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf):
Delete a song from iPhone: In Songs, swipe the song, then tap Delete.

I tried to update my phone. The update didnt go all the way through, and ended up freezing the screen on my iphone with an itunes icon on it. I tried to reboot phone with no success...the icon stays on there with no other function of the phone available. Anybody know of a fix?
Put your iphone in dfu mode by doing this. Turn your iphone off. When its off, hold home and power button together for exactly 10 seconds, then release the power button and keep holding home button for another 10 seconds. Then open up itunes on your pc and plug your iphone to your pc. Itunes should recognize your iphone in recovery mode and it will tell you to restore it. Click restore, and your iphone will restore. Remember that, if you do this you will lose everything that was on your iphone. You can restore from backup later on. Hope I helped. Starting to wonder if the iPhone's been hacked into. The Iphone was working perfectly fine just a short time ago...only 48 hours ago. I never saw a screen on the front of the front of the phone which showed an iTunes Icon at the top of the screen and a cord going down to the bottom of the screen before. I cannot use the phone, get online to get to the internet, take photos of anything.
The phone was working perfectly the day it started working very very strangely and I was able to use the phone, see the time of day, take photos, get online, etc.
How do you fix the phone? I am not going to "restore" the phone & get ALL my info, photos & everything deleted!
Think we need to change the phone number because we also got a strange phone call from a phone number we never saw before!
Need some help. as I'm sure people CAN hack into smartphones.It's in recovery mode. It's tryijng to tell you to plug it into iTunes and restore it.

I can't synch my iPhone with iTunes because the device does not show up in a device window when I plug it in...it's missing in action and thus I'm not able to add any content from the iTunes to my iPhone, e.g. podcasts. All the instructions on synching start with "find your device in the device window". But what if you have no device window?
Missing "message" from above: The iPad "DGMTR" is synced with another iTunes library on DGMTR's MacBook Pro. Do you want to erase this iPad and sync with this iTunes library? An iPad can be synched with only one iTunes library at a time. Erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this iTunes library.
I thought the libraries were the same. -
I attempted to update my iphone 5 through itunes. Itunes backed up the phone. However, when it tried to install the updated software an error message displayed -42110. Now the iphone is unresponsive with a usb icon with an arrow pointing to an itunes icon. The computer makes a connection noise when I hook the phone to the computer but it does not appear to be recognized. It does not appear in the My Computer section. Itunes does not recognize it either. I disabled my security software. I uninstalled itunes, Bonjour, Quick time, apple updates, Aplle mobile updates ect. I reinstalled Itunes and the program still does not recognize the phone.
If you uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, did you follow the steps in this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 exactly. Check and make sure. If you did, then try this support document to get the phone into the Recovery mode. It may take more than one try. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
