Itunes, Imovie, Final Cut ALL WONT OPEN

So i have recently deleted my quicktime, and then I tried to re-install.
When i tried to re-install, It told me that quicktime was already on my computer so i went and searched for allll quicktime components i could find and trashed them, thinking i could completely remove it that way and then re-install.
Now, my ITUNES, my IMOVIE and my FINAL CUT, well basically anything that uses video or audio wont open at all. It says it quit unexpectedly but it doesnt open in the first place.
I SOMEHOW managed to install quicktime 7 but it wont open either. I guess i deleted something important, I just wish i knew what it was so i could try and restore it.
PLEASE HELP ME!!!

You now need to reinstall your entire operating system from the original install disks.
You will also have to reinstall all Apple applications that install "add-on" QT components, as well as, any third-party components you may require. Depending on your specific method of re-installation, you may also have to purge PLIST files as well. If you really messed with the QT structure imbedded in the OS rather than simply deleting player apps and components that support the imbedded structure externally, I personally would back up all projects and data files I wanted to keep and then wipe and test the hard drive before performing a complete "clean" install. And, even if you only deleted the superficial apps and suppornt components, you will likely have to re-install the packages that would replace everything you've removed and stil may have to purge the PLIST files to get the replaced apps to open properly. Even then, you may come across some broken links to certain components owing to some apparent inconsistancies the in installation/re-installation and software upgrade work flow. (E.g., you may end up with the wrong or a non-functioning iMovie '08/'09 "AppleMPEG2Codec.component" being installed.) In short, as Klaus1 indicated, you may have opend a real "can of worms" from which it may be difficult to extricate yourself.

Final cut pro wont open

i have used final cut pro alot, i used it rearlier today, now all the sudden it wont load up. I click on the icon, and it begins to load the box comes up that says final cut pro, but like halfway throught it loading up it just shuts down. How do i fix this? is there a way to restore programs or something like that? how would i reinstall it if i have to?

Final cut 7 wont open after final cut x install OR 3rd party software

I had installed FC x a week ago, did all the steps, even got FCP 7 to open... if I remember correctly. I came back from a short week off and now I cannot get 7 to open. It starts up loading the drivers and then I get the warning sign "Final cut quit unexpectedly" and I can send the report or ignore etc.
I'm not sure if this was an issue from final cut x or if it is because of a driver download I made from sony today. (link below)

Motion 4 opens, DVD studio Pro opens, FC x opens. I tried trashing the prefs and that didn't work
Any other ideas? Do I need to reinstall 7?

Repair permissions in Disk Utility. If FCP continues to crash…
why not trash FCPX and see if FCP7 then launches?
Either way, it won't take very long to download another copy of the new app.
Also – Digital Rebellion's Pro Maintenance Tools has a Crash Analyzer. There is a trial version so you can evaluate.

Help! Final Cut Pro wont Open, I tried to un install and re install but it still didnt work!

I have a Final Cut Pro Express from 2006 and all was working fine untill i got an external hard drive and moved most of my projects over there. i tried moving them back to no avail and tried uninstalling and reinstalling final cut and it didnt work! Anyone have any advice on what I can do???

I disagree an uninstall-install is going to do anything for you. "Won't work" and "to no avail" don't help us speculate on what's wrong with your system. Moving projects should not have caused any issues at all so what you probably really mean is that you moved your media or maybe moved your ssytem or the apps folder or you tried to move FCP. All really bad ideas.

Final Cut Crashed and then corrupted the file. So Final cut wouldn't open up. I tried reloading the backup, trashing the prefs file, systematically going through the 3 previous versions and opening them by themselves one by one to no avail.

I've only rendered 1 low res version. I am thinking I will have to rebuild the project in Final Cut 7. That is simply too risky to have all my back ups not load up!!

Final cut now opens if launch older projects. But if I actually click on the project it crashes. Im not sure what you mean by events? I've moved them from the events folder.
but when I open up and of the projects the FInal Cut opens but then wont load the project even with no events in the FInal Cut Events folder.

I should have seen that. Thanks. Although what I really want is an option like when you open Aperture or iTunes with the option key held down you can select what library to open instead of the default. Usually I want it to open the last project but sometimes I don't and it is a pain to have to wait for it to open all the timelines and then close them all down again. I know..... I want I want I want. Thanks!

Itunes and final cut

I'm trying to make a photo slide show for a family reunion we had. I downloaded a few songs from itunes to use, and final cut won't let me lay it in the timeline, saying I need to open in itunes. I tried to save it as a quicktime movie and I get the same error.
How do I bring in songs from itunes into final cut so I can make a christmas dvd for the family?

IMovie - Final Cut Pro ? Same Quality DV Video?

I would like to know if iMovie and Final Cut Pro have the same ".dv" quality in producing a movie.
Is there any 'loss' in the digital video quality if you use iMovie?

Definitely.
You can't see any difference between DV material edited with iMovie, Final Cut Express, or Final Cut Pro. There is no "loss" in the digital quality if you use iMovie.

Final Cut will not open up? Help

I have many projects on in final cut pro. I went to open it up this morning and final cut will not open. I see it trying to load and then it does not open. Can anyone please give me any ideas on what the problem might be.

Well, you first need to determine whether it's Final Cut that won't open, or just one project. To determine that, you can either trash the preferences or create a new user Account and log into it, then try opening Final Cut from the new Account.
If it opens, then you know FCP is OK. If you've done that with a new Account, then log in to your original Account, and take the media volume offline. I'm assuming you have all your media on a separate volume from your boot volume.
With the media volume offline, try to open that project in Final Cut. If it opens, then you have a corrupted media file, either a captured file or a rendered file.
You then then to find the corrupted file by the process of elimination. More on that later. For now, try the first step and report back.

Nope.
Just download Preference Manager (Free) from Digital Rebellion at:
http://www.digitalrebellion.com/prefman/
It will allow you to archive your current settings before you trash them, in case you want to return to them for some reason.
Then trash your preferences and restart Final Cut.
It will see there are no existing preference and will create a fresh set.
Hopefully this will allow you to compete the launch.

I reinstall and install and restart my pc and it is the same

I have error 2378.
I tried all the fixes (uninstal completely) I've tried installing Quicktime standalone, same error.
One day my computer installed some windows updates. next time i tried i tunes, it said it couldnt' find RICHED20.dll.
Tried removing the updates. then tried removing/reinstalling itunes. Everytime I try to run the install package I get "error with package 2378". I tried restoring my system to before the windows updates. No luck.

Premiere Pro, Creative Cloud & Adobe Application Manager all wont open.

One day it was fine, the next it's not. My Premiere Pro, Creative Cloud & Adobe Application Manager all wont open.
No error messages, it just doesn't open. I can't get through to talk to staff (because why should you be able to right? You only pay for the service..)
Could someone please shed some light on my situation?
My Lightroom and Photoshop are running fine as normal. I wish I could provide more information but it's really that simple - none of it will open.

At this point, I think I'd just download & run the Adobe CC Cleaner app, and use it to uninstall & clean up your PrPro & the Creative Cloud desktop app itself ... then download a fresh copy of the CC desktop app, install & sign into your account, then download & reinstall PrPro ...

IMovie / Final Cut ?

Trying to use Voltaic but now I get a message saying I need to reinstall iMovie /Final Cut! Because it can not find AIC.
How do I do that!

Just to expand on that. Usually imovie or FCE would put that particular file in that location, assuming you have either installed then the file should be there.
