Itunes in the Cloud Beta 10.3.1 for German Acoount

Yesterday, when I think German Itunes Software is updated to  10.3.1 I noticed the following in the product description .
Finally here: i Tunes in the cloud beta . With iTunes purchased music will automatically appear on all your divices. In addition, previous iTunes purchases are reloaded.
Why is specified in the product description of the German iTunes Cloud beta and it does not work?

Yeah they probably failed to mention this in the product notes...however, from the fine print at the bottom of the iTunes page:
*Automatic downloads and downloading of purchase history available in beta now and require iOS 4.3.3 on iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 (GSM model), iPod touch (3rd and 4th generation), iPad, or iPad 2, or a Mac or PC with iTunes 10.3. Previous purchases may be unavailable if they are no longer in the iTunes Store, App Store, or iBookstore. Music features are available only in the U.S. Download iTunes 10.3 free.
So yeah, re-downloads of Music via the iTunes Cloud is U.S. only at this time. Sorry! Hopefully you guys will get this feature soon too

  • Ok so I downloaded a song on my iPhone to test the new iTunes in the cloud beta from the iTunes store. I just did it to test it. Now I want to take that song off. How do I do that? I've tried syncing it and still can't do it tha way through iTunes.

    Icloud question

Here's what seems to have worked for me: download iTunes 10.3 (on your computer), turn on Sync music but don't check anything.
I tried this in iTunes 10.2.2 and it didn't work, then downloaded 10.3.
I synced once and it said it couldn't sync my phone, then synced again and it worked and the one song I'd downloaded from iCloud finally disappeared.
Hopefully, they'll add a way to do this directly from the phone.

  • Is the iTunes in the cloud active for Belgium

I m trying to activate / access my purchased music on the iCloud but my iPad only shows me the apps & iBooks as available for automatic download
I'm wondering whether this may be because this "new" option may not be yet available in belgium ?
Is there a list of countries for which this aspect of the cloud has or hasn't been implemented ?
    Many thanks

Only correct answer is that iTunes in the Cloud is not yet available for music in Belgium.

  • Are apple working on a fix for iTunes in the cloud in ios6?

After updating to ios6 I've been incredibly frustrated with iTunes in the cloud. Gone are the options of downloading and deleting individual songs and the service has gone down the streaming route. I can understand how this benefits some but it is a hindrance to me. In the uk - iPhone data packages are far from unlimited and the 2GB I have per month has been exceeded twice due to itunes! I have the 64gb iPhone but my music collection is over 100gb hence why the service was perfect for me before - I could download individual songs on request rather than entire albums
The reason I'm asking the question is that I got an email to say my subscription is up for renewal - if the service will be reverted back in the near future to how it was in ios5 then it's worth renewing - otherwise it's for the bin

Yes but streaming whilst using my data allowance is dangerous as I have gone over it several times. To stream a song and keep it on the device you have to listen to the entire song - this isn't practical for me - I tended to download songs whilst having a wifi connection that would set me up for the rest of the day - this was possible by downloading individual tracks - something that has been removed from ios6. Now I have to run te risk of going over my data allowance and it now at the point where I am deliberately not listening to music incase this happens - surely apple doesn't want it's users to reduce their listening time? - well that's the situation they have created. I have several friends who are in the same predicament - the new iTunes in the cloud is like a beta version and the ios5 version was a far better service.
If its going to continue as it is I will have no choice but to cancel - having to pay the subscription then pay the charges for going over my Internet allowance every few months - not worth it

  • ITunes in the Cloud missing in iOS5?

Hi all, I have downloaded and installed the iOS5 beta to my iPhone 4. One thing I noticed is that iTunes in the Cloud doesn't seem to be there. Was this only in 4.3 or is there something I have to do in iTunes to activate it?
Also, Is there a beta of the iTunes match service?
    Thanks,
    Barry

If you are running iOS 4.3 or above, just go to Settings, Scroll down to Store. Once in Store you should see three or four new options: Music, Apps, Books, and Cellular. By Default all are Off, Turn these On, then go to iTunes ( on your iPhone of course ) and you'll see a new Tab on the bottom right called Purchases. Once inside, you'll see EVERYTHING you have purchased using your Apple ID ( even if the song, App, Book isn't installed on your iPhone). If you see an iCloud ICON with a down arrow in it,  to the right of the title, that item can be Downloaded to your current iOS device AND will also be Downloaded to all your other iOS devices and computer at the same time.
It's that simple. Do the same thing in the iBook Store and App Store to update everything there too.
As of last nights update to iTunes you can now do this all via your computer too. Only issue is that if there are multiple User Accts on the computer, and you update all YOUR Music, Apps, and Books, any other User Accts on that computer will NOT be able to update THEIR stuff for NINTY DAYS.
Thought you'd all like to know... YOU GOTTA LOVE THAT iCloud !!

  • Problem with iTunes in the cloud

    Hi,
I can't download previously bought music in iTunes. There's only possibility to redownload apps and books.
Few days ago I could do this, now the option is gone. I can't turn it on in iTunes on my computer.
On iPhone-->Settings--->Store--->Automatic downloads--> I can choose only Apps and books, no music option to turn on.
And there's no icon Purchased in iTunes on iPhone.
iTunes in the cloud is working in my country with music, I was using it.
    Can anyone help? Thanks.

It could be a temorary glitch. We had something similar in the UK week or two ago. Wait it out or Contact Support.

  • I have music I have purchased under an old email address itunes account, that I want to copy onto my new itunes in the cloud account.  Can I do that?

Hi, I have music, both purchased and copied from CD .. on 2 different itunes accounts (as I needed to create a new itunes account when I lost my iphone ??).  The new itunes in the cloud account only has music on it from when I replaced my dead iphone, and I am unable to log into the OLD itunes account on both iphone and new ipad .. as they automatically go the one in the cloud.  However I can access all my music on the old account on my Windows PC.
Is there a way of copying/moving my old account music into the new one in the cloud, and if so, is it easy or do I need to take it to a Genius to do it?

  • Can I trust iTunes in the Cloud to retain past purchases?

I've been using iTunes for several years now to download and watch television episodes, since long before the advent of iTunes in the Cloud, with its ability to re-download previously purchased music, television, and (most recently) movies. Prior to the advent of this service the iTunes user was solely responsible for retaining backups of purchases, although an additional download might be granted in case of catastrophe.
With this in mind, and as my collection quickly expanded beyond the threshold where I could reasonably back it up to optical media, I purchased a two-terabyte Network Attached Storage drive, configured in a RAID array for added redundancy. Unfortunately, my iTunes media library is now approaching one terabyte in size by itself, and along with the many other things that I store on the drive is beginning to approach the drive's capacity.
So, the iTunes in the Cloud thing sounds awesome, but I'd like to know more about the troubling caveat that 'previous purchases may be unavailable if they are no longer on the iTunes Store' before I jettison the bulk of my local media collection. I'm aware of, and can deal with, the reality that contractual obligations and other things may force the withdrawal of legacy iOS applications (Glyder 1/2, the Fighting Fantasy series, Zumocast), but am less able to suffer the unexpected loss of television series content that may represent hundreds of dollars of purchases.
Other media outlets like HBO Go and Netflix Instant Watch note if and when certain content may become unavailable in the future. Does iTunes have anything similar, or am I essentially flying blind if I choose to delete my media?

I would not delete the media unless you don't want it.
Even subtle changes to content listings can render thinsg unavailable.
I have several Music Videos I have never been able to upgrade to itunes Plus - they still seem to be in the store with identical running times, but itunes support claim they are somehow different and need to be purchased again - no chance.
I bought nearly 2 seasons of a Disney kids show - those sesons are no longer in the store as they've split each season into volumes (season 1 = volumes 1 and 2, season 2 = volumes 3 and 4).
For the sake of the cost of external storage these days I think it's well worth the hassle of keeping backups.
You could argue however that if 95% of stuff remains redownloadable is the cost of the 5% offset by the hassle/cost of keeping backups even if it 'changed' and had to be repurchased.
The trouble is we just don't know if it'll be 99%/1%, 95%/5%, 50%/50% in the future even if it looks favourable now. Movies frequently seem to flip from rental only to purchase only here in UK, not sure about elsewhere.

  • How can I put back my iPhone as a device in View My Account iTunes in the Cloud Manage Devices?

I went into this list and noticed that I had my old iPhone 3Gs and my new iPhone 5s listed as devices. I also had 2 PC's listed.  So there were 4 devices associated wih my Apple ID.  Here is a little background.  When setting up my new phone, I had mistakenly given the new phone the identical name as my old iPhone 3GS, then realized that was a mistake because it would be hard to differentiate between the 2 phones in lists (for example: Restore backup lists is a very good example).  So I changed the name of my new phone so it would be different.
My old phone was called Bruce's iPhone and my new iPhone was called Bruce's 5s.  Even though I had changed the name of my new phone, the list of devices under View My Account > iTunes in the Cloud > Manage Devices had the 2 phones still listed with the same name, Bruce's iPhone.  I was able to tell the difference by the date the devices were established, but I did not like that.
So I used the 'Remove' button and deleted the listing for the newer listing of Bruce's iPhone.   Now, no matter what I try I can not get that new name and that device to get back on the list.  There are now 3 devices only.
Since I did this, I have developed the issue where when I sync, the system hangs on Step 7 of the Sync, "Waiting for changes to be applied". I stopped it after 3+ hours.  Then I restored my most recent backup (to the Cloud) and the next Sync worked.  I have no idea if the above action on my part is in any way connected to my developing the syncing issue.
Does anyone know how I can get that device, my new iPhone 5s, called Bruce's 5s back on this list of devices?  I seem to be able to do all the actions I want to with the devicer and my Apple ID.  But the coincidence of the above change that I ran into didn't make me smile either.
Thanks in advance for any input/help?
    Bruce - obviously

Is this your issue >  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5818
    If so...
The Apple ID and Password that was Originally used to Activate the iDevice is required
If you do not have that information you will not be able to use the Device.

  • How do I recover a device that was accidentally removed from my iTunes in the Cloud account?

While removing old devices from my iTunes in the Cloud account, I accidently removed my current iPhone 5s from the list.  I have saved closed out of the "manage account" window yet but don't see how to go back and undo this mistake.  Is there a way to reverse this before closing out of this or do I have to re-install device?

Try going to Settings>iTunes & App Store and enabling Automatic Downloads while signed into the Apple ID you were managing.  (If it's enabled, turn it off, then back on.)  That should add the device to iTunes in the Cloud for the ID.

  • HT204053 Enter the Apple ID you want to use for iCloud in Control Panel Network Internet iCloud.  Enter the Apple ID you want to use for store purchases (including iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match) in iTunes iTunes Store.

Enter the Apple ID you want to use for iCloud in Control Panel > Network > Internet > iCloud.
Enter the Apple ID you want to use for store purchases (including iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match) in iTunes > iTunes Store.

    Welcome to the Apple community.
iTunes and iCloud and different accounts, you will need to delete both accounts from your device before adding the new details in their place.
For iCloud go to settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit the delete button. You can then sign back in using your correct details. For iTunes go to settings >store, tap your account ID and then sign out, you can then sign back in using your correct Apple ID.

  • Error upon loading a video from the iTunes in the cloud

I bought a movie called Epic and when I tried to play on my Apple TV via streaming from the iTunes in the cloud it was playing until yesterday it start displaying an Error message "Error upon loading this video content". How long does it take for that to be corrected?

OK well, I think all that stuff about licensing is not true, unless explicitly stated
Just working off a gut feeling (or perhaps just wishing it weren't true)?  I suggest actually checking:
    https://www.google.com/search?q=us+rip+dvd+legal
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Millennium_Copyright_Act
Typically any mention of ripping DVDs may get a topic removed from the ASC forums since it is discussion of an "illegal activity" and subject to Terms of Use.
The key thing here is if you upload a file to your library, then try to replace that same file with the same file name, iTunes will ignore it and NOT overwrite the file that's already there. You have to delete the file off first and THEN add to library again.
Correct, iTunes works on a file basis not a track label basis.  That's why I said delete the old file.  You could have 20 identical files with the same name (in different folders) and iTunes will add them all right next to each other.  Nothing new in iTunes behavior there.  In fact if you had gone to the location where the media file was stored and copied a new one over the old one with the same name I believe iTunes would still know it wasn't the original.  You can, however, edit a file using a third party tool and save it in place and iTunes will accept the changes without having to re-add the file.

  • ITunes in the Cloud option no longer available in iTunes 12

I upgraded to Yosemite about a week ago, and I am now running iTunes 12.0.1.26.  I use my MacBook Air to stream iTunes movie and TV show purchases to my TV, and I like having the option of streaming content directly from the cloud rather than downloading it to my computer's hard drive.  Normally, after every iTunes upgrade since the introduction of "iTunes in the Cloud," I have to go to the iTunes preferences menu to enable the "iTunes in the Cloud" setting to see my purchases that are available to stream. (I don't know why Apple doesn't enable this by default. Improvement opportunity!)  However, in iTunes 12, this setting is not available.  Has the "iTunes in the Cloud" setting been moved somewhere else?  I sure hope this feature hasn't been abandoned.
I have signed out of iTunes, deauthorized my computer, turned off iTunes match, and genius, then signed back into everything, but that hasn't helped.
Any guidance would be much appreciated.
    I have a 13" mid-2011 MacBook Air with a Core i7 and 4GB of RAM running OS 10.10.

Do you see anything at all on the purchased page, headings links, tools etc.

  • Using iTunes in the Cloud

I was wondering if I can use iTunes in the Cloud just for offsite storage of my music? I want to keep the files on all of my devices and only use iCloud to store the originals. Can this be done? Thanks.
    Steve H

    Hi,
No. Itunes in the cloud is not a back up service. This stores your iTunes purchase, not the rest of your music. iTunes Match is a different product, again it is not per se a back up service.
    Read this https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4112,.
What match does is scans your library and matches your music with a version that is available in the iTunes Store. If it is not matched and is eligible, it will be uploaded. You will now have access to those tracks on other devices when you are signed into match.
Nothing happens physically to the tracks on your computer unless you opt to upgrade or delete them. Nothing beats a proper back up on an external HD

  • Accessing iTunes in the cloud

What does "Accessing iTunes in the Cloud" icon just to the right of Music menu item mean. It's animate with scrolling diagonal stripes.

Thanks for taking an interest Mario49 but neither of those linked pages addresses djnavigator72's question.  They may deal with a cloud icon but it is not the one the original poster clearly asked about.  First, both linked pages contain information about the cloud icon when it appears adjacent to a specific media file.  The original poster made it clear he was asking about the cloud icon adjacent to the Music menu, that is, towards the top of the iTunes window not next to a specific media file.  Secondly, none of the icons depicted on the two linked pages match the description given by the original poster, that is, an animated icon with diagonal stripes.  The linked pages show numerous other types of cloud icons but none with multiple diagonal stripes.  The question therefore remains open and I would also like to know what it means.
