Itunes installation just stops!

HELP PLEASE! I try to install itunes. It goes though the installation then at the end when it is registering the product the whole installation shuts down. I don't know what to do please help!

hmmmm. some preliminary questions. how up to date are you with regards to Windows Update? (sometimes this is a sign that you don't have Windows Installer 3.1v2.)

While i'm riding my the iphone just stops playing music. This is only a recnet event and I think its somehow tied to recent updates

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the corrupt tracks from the music section of your iTunes library, close & then reopen iTunes, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unchecked. This seems to help with partial downloads...
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the "Report a problem" links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

New PC iTunes Installs but Stops Responding

I had to get my laptop replaced and when I install iTunes on the new one, it seems to install fine but whenever I open the program, it just says iTunes has stopped responding and closes. There is no music added, and there is no music added to the computers hard drive yet. It is a fresh new PC with a lot of memory and I don't understand why iTunes is behaving this way.

When I start the install, I choose "as current user" and then...nothing. The installation just stops.

That's it. I can't even get past the starting phase of the installation. It just dies. Any ideas? I'm on windows 7

Try this:

*Start the installation with a double-click on the desktop icon
You normally install Firefox as a normal user and confirm the UAC pop-up alert to allow Firefox to update the registry and install the Mozilla Maintenance Service to make it possible to update in the background.

HELP!! Uninstalled iTunes, try to reinstall but iTunes download just stops.

After iTunes update, my iPhone sync would freeze up during "backing up iPhone". Apple website says to uninstall/reinstall iTunes. After uninstalling according to the sequence recommended at Apple.com, I try to download new iTunes but it repeatedly freezes at 12%. I have followed all of Apple.com's troubleshooting steps, (delete temp dirs, rebooting repeatedly, removing registry entries, etc.), but nothing helps. Please plug the iPhone with the original doch-connector & USB cable into a USB plug in the computer (directly into the computer) and restart iTunes. It should register. Please do not stop the registration!!! You may need to press power on iPhone.

Songs just stop playing midway

Hi,
I have a 3rd generation iPad and an iPhone 5S. With both devices my itunes library songs (CD's that were downloaded or purchased from iTunes) will just stop playing midway. I have re-set both devices twice to restore to original factory settings and re-synced with my devices with airplane mode on so that there are no distruptions. Still the songs stop midway. I have played sames songs in itunes with no issues.
iphone = 7.1.2
ipad = 7.1.2

I Had this problem too. Do the songs play correctly on your computer? If so try this
What i had to do was remove the song from iTunes. Then re add them. Then resync the device. This was not a fun process.

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the thingy on the page):

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

Okay i just figured out how to fix it. all i did was go to my Activity Monitor and searched all processes for itunes, itunes helper was running. i just quit it and intaller.app was just fine. thanks thou, ill give you the points for trying to help me.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if one component won't install normally.
If needs be, the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility (MS Installer "Fixit") may be able to help force through the installation.
