Itunes installation Service error

Hi,
When I attempt to install ITunes, I receive this error:
"Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services."
What I've done
Looked for the Service under the Services program and its not there.
Disconnected from the Internet, Disabled Firewall and Anti-virus, Then Ran the installation file "As Administrator" still get the error
Thanks In-advanced
P.S. Don't link me to a random thread, where people have fixed the problem threw one of these things i have already tried.

Any help?

  • Windows Installer Service Error - Windows 7 + iTunes 10.2.2

This is the same type of message posted in various places with the following error: The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed.  This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode, or if the Windoews Installer is not correctly installer.  Contact your support personnel for assistance.
I've attempted everything I could find in the windows forum.  I'm open to new ideas ASAP as I can't sync my phone/calendar without it.  Itunes doesn't function at all, uninstall failed as well.  Thank you for the assistance!

    Gabe,
You see a lot of suggestions on the Windows/Apple forums by unregistering and reregistering the windows installer services ;  msiexexec /unregister  +  msiexec /regserver. Or to create a new windows account/profile.
This didn't work for me, what was working is a uninstall of  iTunes and the related Apple software, Apple application support, Apple mobile device support and Apple software support by using Windows programs and features.
I als cleaned up the personal and all users profile directories  c:\users\<user>\app data\roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes.
    Good luck

  • Itunes bonjour service error (Windows 7)

    Hi,
I have a lot of errors Event ID 100 in the log file (Bonjour Service)
    The samples are below
    Task Scheduling Error: m->NextScheduledResponse 28
Task Scheduling Error: Continuously busy for more than a second
    Task Scheduling Error: m->NextScheduledEvent xxxx
    Task Scheduling Error: m->NextScheduledSPRetry
Since iTunes installed these errors continue to occur and cause Windows hung up (blue screen or restart)
Any idea how to fix them? Try to remove iTunes + Safari and re-install them but the errors still happen.
    Thanks,

  • The itunes installer encountered errors. Help Please!!!

I downloaded itunes. then it said " preparing to Install. " Like 2 seconds later it said iTunes Installer Completed. The installer encountered before iTunes can be configured. Your system has not been modified. To retry these operation at a later time, please run the installer again. Click Finish to exit installer.
I have erased all itunes from my computer and downloaded it and tried to install it over 5 times and it still wont install. Please Help Me

See if you can get itunes to install from another Windows user account. That will tell you if the problem is system-wide or user-related.

  • Itunes on windows 7 error "itunes installer encountered errors before itunes could be configured" HELP!!!

I''ve tried running from an external harddrive running in safe mode everything gives the same error...

I had to find this solution from another site, so thanks to all the people who viewed this thread & knew how to fix this but didn't bother.
If anyone is weary enough to come to this forum to solve this problem, here is one solution that worked for me & it may work for you if you encounter the error:
"the installer encountered errors before safari could be configured"
    1. Use a trustworthy registry cleaner to clean your registry such as Ccleaner or Advanced System Care. This step may not be necessary though.
    2. Go to "C:\Users\MyUsername\AppData(Hidden)\Local\Temp" & delete everything in it.
    3. If step 2 still doesn't allow you to install Safari, then try:
    4. Open Start type "CMD" in the search button, then in the cmd prompt "Regedt32"
    5. In the reg editor open:
"Computer" / "HKEYCURRENTUSER" / "Software" / "Apple Computer, Inc." & try deleting the entries for any Apple programs that may be causing any conflicts.
Be aware that any programs that you delete registry entries for may not function correctly afterwards or need to be reinstalled, but this more drastic measure should hopefully allow the installation of Safari browser.
Hope this helps any further visitors to this forum looking to solve this problem it worked for me, good luck.

    Hi clinton86,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! I understand that are receiving an alert when trying to import a CD to iTunes and are being asked to reinstall iTunes. iTunes and all of its components must be removed in a specific order when uninstalling from a Windows computer. Please use the following article as a reference.
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923
    1. Remove iTunes and related components from the Control Panel
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.
    I hope this helps,
    -Joe

  • Itunes installation failure, error code 80070246

I was attempting to upgrade to the latest I tunes version, unfortunately the installation stops during the publishing product information stage. I am using Windows Vista, home edition 32 bit.
While searching the help topics I have tried uninstalling itunes, quicktime, apple software update, apple mobile device support, bonjour and would have uninstalled apple application support if it showed up.
After rebooting and attempting to reinstall (with another failure) I tried running Microsoft fix-it basic and advanced because I came across this fix in another article for this error code. Now not only can I not install Itunes, no updates show up in the history for Windows Update and when I run Windows Update it also fails with another error code 80080005.
After spending 2 days working on this I am worse off than I was when I started, does anyone have any suggestions for what I should do next?

A quick search of the error code shows a VBScript error. Perhaps this could help:

  • Itunes installation pckg error with Windows Vista

I keep trying to install itunes onto my new computer and keep getting this message, "This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows installer package." Anybody else get irritating message? I WANT MY ITUNES! HELP!

Are you logged on as the adminsitrator? Also you could try right clicking on the installer and choosing run as administrator.
If that doesn't help, I wonder if this is a Visual basic script problem, see this Apple article:

  • Itunes Installation Damaged Error Windows 7

For weeks Itunes has been begging me to update my software to the new software which i didn't do until yesterday. As i did, all my music except music i bought off of itunes was gone, just gone. my playlists were all gone and the layout of the itunes was completly different. Then when i start up Itunes it gives me (The image above)
The file "ITunes Library.Itl" does not appear to be a valid itunes library file. ITunes has attempted to recover your iTunes Library and renamed this file to "Itunes library (Damaged).itl"
I tried for myself to figure what's wrong and so i unistalled the Itunes software and then reinstalled it. i still got the same message. I then called an Apple advisor for almost an hour and a half and we did the same thing i did and obviously i got the samething and then the call was hung up. Which really left me ****** off. I then waited to see if the advisor would call me back but didn't and so i called Apple again and talked with a different advisor. We spent another hour and half. We did the same thing again as the other advisor did, (at this point i'm just frustrated and ready to give up) reinstalled the new version of Itunes and i still got the same thing. I asked if i could go the previous version of itunes and he said yes. So i uninstalled the new version and put back the old version. From there, we stopped talking and hung up. I was waiting for the download to be done for the old itunes (10.7) and i got an error. Apparently the file was broken. And here i was just ready to go insane. I deleted that, and installed a different Itunes 10.7 and it downloaded and worked but i still get the same thing popping up (the image above).
I can't download any new music onto my itunes and i can't find my old playlists, nothing.

  • During a error updating, I had to reinstall iTunes. When proceeding to install iTunes, the installer chooses M:// I dont have a M drive, I click change and the iTunes installer crashes. I've tried everything, help!

Seriously no idea whats going on, and I'm usually pretty good with figuring an issue
    Heres the isse:
When updating iTunes, after the restart I booted up iTunes and it crashed. I was prompted with iTunes had been updated incorrectly and to uninstall and reinstall iTunes. After downloading the installer from itunes.ca. I opened up the application, and clicked Next. Under the directory it says M Drive, I dont have an M drive at all, I click change and a prompt pops that says, "The volume M:/ is currently unavailable. Please select another." with "ok" being the only selection.
After hitting ok, it says "itunes installer completed" "Errors occured during installation before iTunes could be configured. Your system has not been modified. To complete the installation, run the installer again. Click Finish to exit the installer." Finish is the only selectable, and upon restarting the installer the same thing happens. I hope theres someone who can help me out with this.

I was downloading iTunes and got the error message that iTunes couldn't download because the MSVCR80.dll files were missingand so iTunes could not install.

    The message I got was:

Your system has not been modified. To complete the installation, run the installer again

  • Problems with iTunes installer

I downloaded iTunes and the iTunes installer gives me this message after the installation:
    "iTunes installer completed
Errors occurred during installation before iTunes could be configured.
Your system has not been modified. To complete the installation, run the installer again."
So I ran the installer several more times but got the same message each time.
Note: I never downloaded iTunes before. Also the computer shut down a minute after the installer completed with a message that said I should uninstall any new software or programs. I'm not sure if there is any connection but just to be on the safe side...
    Thanks!
    I'm using a Windows 7 Home Premium.

The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) (not for XP) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.
