Itunes interacts badly with my ATI Radeon 4550. Plays OK thru HDMI connection but 'pulses' thru onboard audio card. I have disabled the audio amp on the video card but no different. QuickTime player works OK. Can I configure something on Itunes?
An up-date: I may have found the culprit. This seems to be hardware related after all. In utter frustration I made yet another clean install. Yes, it didn't work. However I finally had a simple idea: to try to run my clips from my LaCie harddrive I use for back-ups. Lo and behold: no hang-ups on even most troubled clips! Copying the same clip to desktop and playing it from Mac, the trouble was there as it had always been. I then proceeded to download latest QT (out today) No change. Same with 10.4.4 upgrade. But LaCie kept on delivering. It seems my harddrive chokes on large videofiles. It still passes hardware test, and it has been erased four times already. I simply don't know how G5's innards work, but this suggests that the harddrive takes the brunt of all things cinematic. How do QT and harddrive interact? Beats me. One thing seems to be for certain now: somewhere along the way information just jams up, resulting in standstills.
So, if your plagued with the same problem, you should at least check the condition of your harddrive. I still can't be 100% sure, so it's off to local Apple store. We still could be talking about a motherboard problem or whatnot. So, the saga continues but at least now I have some driving instructions.

I have a iPad 1 (first one) I downloaded some movies from iTunes and with full volume I can barely hear them, but the apps I have downloaded are much louder. Any suggestions
She must have signed into her own Apple ID on your iPad in order to sync her content from iTunes so try this and see if it works.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. See if your ID is showing in there and if it isn't - tap on her ID, sign out and then sign in with yours.
You should not be syncing to to different iTunes libraries. The iPad can only sync with one iTunes library without erasing the the content on it if you decide to sync to another iTunes library. -
Interacting with a presentation while playing
How can I interact with a presentation during the presentation itself? That is, how can I move the mouse cursor, make marks, etc, while playing a presentation?
In the Preferences you can indicate whether you want the cursor to be visible. However, Keynote does not support on-screen editing directly -- for that you will need a third-party application such as OmniDazzle.

IDVD project plays perfectly in preview but when burned NO AUDIO.....
The iDVD (v 6.0.2 )project plays all video and menus/buttons perfectly in preview but when burned to NO AUDIO except on menus, none in the AUDIO TS folder, none on main video which has 11 chapters exported from FCP 5.0.4 as QT w/chapters.
Also the burned DVD has scrambled the links from the Scene selection menu to the correct video chapter.
I've checked all the media for 16 bit, etc.
WHY does it play fine on the simulator but screw up so badly when burned to disk.
any help would be appreciated, THANKS in advance

Power Mac G4 Mac OS X (10.4.3)I had the same problem with my music not playing once I burned my iDVD's.
What I figured out, was that whenever I download music from iTunes, and try to use the music within my iDVD program, there's a little lock that appears in the iTunes file of the song I'm using. No one knows why...I spent hours on the phone with Apple trying to figure it out. So, the file is locked, and will play on my computer when I view my show, but will not play once burned, and I try to play it on the TV.
So, my work around is that every single song I purchase from iTunes...I have to burn onto a CD, and then burn back into my iTunes. That creates an unlocked file, and I am now able to use it.
I don't know if this is the same problem you are having...but it's a huge headache as I create these iDVD's a LOT for my business.
It basically stinks, and there's no fix - according to Apple... -
Several movies I purchased won't play on Apple TV. They don't show up on my Apple TV menu, and if I search for them, the "Purchase HD movie" tab shows up. When I try to re-purchase, states "Already Purchased- would you like to view now". I answer "YES" and I'm taken to a screen without a "Play" tab. Other tabs such as "Extras" are frozen and don't work. Unable to see the movie or any of the iTunes extras.

I started setting up a web page with IWeb.
Several proplems so far:
1) Auto Play box checked for music, but music does not start when page is opened.
2) Can't get Quicktime "start/stop" slide to start and finish a section within a long piece of music (classical for example). How does one work the slide bar to do this?Yes the audio file plays on the iWeb page when I click the play button. I even made sure it played both without the “little boxes” that surround the icon (don’t know the technical name for those), and when I click the music icon without the little boxes.
I did note that the iTunes window that appears when I open the Inspector is not highlighted until I click the music icon and those little boxes appear. Then the Start/Stop, Auto Play, Loop, and Show Movie Controller are highlighted — and work properly.
One other thing. I see that the iWeb icon I am working from says “Domain copy.sites2.” Does that have a bearing on anything? -

I'm about to get a new computer. I have all my music on a external HD, so I won't have problems preserving my music. But I would like to preserve other information too. Especially the play count information. I think it's interesting how my top 25-most-played looks like, and the play count list I have now, took me 2 years to get.
So my question is: Does anyone know how I can copy my iTunes library with all its information (play count, rating, comments, images, last played date etc.) to a new computer?

ITunes won't allow me to play a certain song
My iTunes won't allow me to play Paradise by Coldplay but allows me to play other songs. They told me to put my Apple I.D in and they recognized it but then it played another song. Help?
iTunes can play many different types of mpeg-4 videos that are not compatible with the iPod. iTunes can playback 720p and 1080p mpeg-4 AVC baseline 1.4 videos that can't even be played using AppleTV (or the iPod). So iTunes compatibility doesn't always mean iPod compatibility.
However, you can convert it in iTunes to ipod compatibility.
Highlight the movie in itunes, go to menu ADVANCED and select "Create iPod or iPhone version". -

You can do this in 2 ways.
1) You can enable the sidebar and you can drag and drop like you used to be able to. To turn on Sidebar in iTunes 11, go to View > Show Sidebar
2) Another way is to connect to your Home Share from the drop-down menu from the left (where it says Music) and select your Home Share. Once you are connected to your Home Share, select Music and you should see a button that says "All Items" and on the right, you should see the Import button. To copy, select the songs you want to import and then click on Import. -
Flash animation with stream sound not playing in mac
Dear all,
I have made a 5 min animation with stream sound. Its playing perfectly in PC. But in mac, its not playing. Stream sound starts from frame 60. So mac plays the swf plays till 60 frame, after that it pauses. I tried importing different sound format (wav, aif, mp3) and tried with all sound export setting but the problem remain same; its playing only till 60. When i removed the sound, it played till end. Even with event sound, it plays till end. But with stream sound, the problem. The problem is only in mac; in pc its perfect.
I am using VMware Mac OS x leopard in window xp for testing purpose. I tested it in laptop with mac; but the problem is same. What could be the solution?

Daniel LindéI don't know exactly how to solve your problem, but here's a few things you can look at.
1. You didn't say which computer you are on. At any rate, on Windows, you have to be careful and call the cmd.exe when you are trying to execute batch files (vs executing some other .exe).
2. You MAY be in trouble from latex. This is an argument from analogy - a specific problem I ran into.
I had a program written in C, which used lex/yacc. The input was read by lex. It turns out that the (Windows) implementation of lex - actually flex - used a function "isatty" to figure out whether to get input character-by-character or doing block reads. Well, when I used Runtime.exec, - for whatever reason - the C program got back a bad value, and bombed trying to read blocks of input. -

I cannot add music to my iphone or upload photos to iphoto.
I have the last itunes 10.6.3. which was supported by apple.
itunes will not interact with my iphone on any level.
Apple made all the equipment I use.

Regarding iOS 7.0 you have totally lost the plot.
We buy apple why?
Quality.
Intuitive interface.
Stable software.
Design.
All that Steve Jobs consider sacrosanct.
Quality is about ongoing support longevity of product.
Its not about trying to sell to every person on the planet, others are way ahead of you.
So try respective the customers you have, it wont be long before theirs a better operating system and your lead in hardware is marginal.

If you have an iPhone or iPad do not update to ISO 7 unless you want an operating system that looks like windows 8. The graphics looks like it was designed by a artistically challenged mongoose and the operating system is not intuitive something apple users expect.
