ITunes / iPhone not working properly after newest update...

iTunes is not working properly after the newest update...  It dosen't see my iPhone, the program acts very sluggish, and has trouble loading the Store.  Anyone have a solution or an explanation?  I have tried the suggestions found in other threads ie. restart, re-download, charge phone, restart phone and so on. Nothing works.  Everything was working fine until iTunes and the new ios were installed.  After that it all went to crap.  Thanks, Randy...

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

    Hi,
    Well, as the subject says, my keyboard is not working properly after I updated the firmware. The problem is that several keys (delete, down arrow, brackets and apostrophe) stopped working right after I installed the update. I never dropped it or hit it. And I did not stop or interrupt or did anything during the install. I take very good care of it.
    I have already tried toubleshooting with the support page, restarting the iMac, taking off the batteries, setting it up with bluetooth again, going back a week with time machine and to reinstall the firmware. So, if you have something new for me to try, I will really apreciate it.

    I have 24" iMac with the Apple wireless M&KB - I know this is basic but have you tried a fresh set of batteries? My KB will refuse to establish connection when batteries are on the weak side the firmware update may just be a co incidents. If your wireless mouse is working OK then I would guess the blue tooth is functioning.
    Not sure about the 10.49 download - are your other file downloads completing properly? Are there any error messages?

  • Smart Actions not working properly after software update

    My Razr updated 2 days ago and since then my Smart Actions are not working properly. 
    I have my Work action set to turn the volume down when I'm at a certain GPS.  It shows that "Work" is active, but doesn't turn the volume down.
    Also, there are times (since I've owned the phone) that it will not connect to the network after coming off a Wifi Connection without rebooting the phone.  I took it into a Verizon store and they did a hard reset, and that fixed it for a time, but it started doing it again. 
    Any help appreciated.

        Hi mcclainkb, Let's make sure your phone works as you expect it to! Have you tried removing the Smart Action and setting it back up again?  Are your other GPS services working as normal?  After the hard reset performed in the store did you install all of the same application that you had before?

    what version of iPhoto are you using?
    what system version are you running?
    what do you mean by not working properly? Explain in detail.
    what fixes have you tried?
    where is your library located?
    did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
    are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
    what type of Mac?
    how much free space on your boot drive?

  • Printer is not working properly after I updated OS

    My printer is not working after I updated my OS software. It will only print out pages as a mirror image. All the programs are not printing properly. Could really use some help fixing this issue.

    What software did you update?
    It is very difficult to offer troubleshooting suggestions when the "os version" you are using is unknown as each os has their own troubleshooting solutions. 
    Please describe in detail all you have attempted to do in order to resolve the issue.  Have you contacted the printer manufacturer tech support?  Read the printer's user manual?  Your printer drivers updated to match your updated software?

  • Netflix not working properly after ATV update

    After the update, movies at netflix after some seconds, video starts from the beginning and audio still plays normal.
    Can't see anything like that. Have to fast forward so video comes back to original point.

  • Walkman app search not working properly after lollipop update?

    Does anyone else have problems with the walkman app search function? Just yesterday it worked fine before I updated to lollipop, when I searched for a song it actually found it. Now it's all broken and can usually find results only when I type in two or three letters. If I type less or more it finds nothing at all even though I know I have those songs on my SD card.
    I can find the songs just fine if I scroll through all the albums manually, but that's slow and pain to do...
    I updated the walkman app too after I noticed this problem but nothing changed. I also tried cleaning app data/cache but it doesn't help at all.

    Sony really needed to test Lollipop better. On my Xperia Z3 Compact, after Lollipop installed, Walkman app could no longer find any of my SD Card music using the Search function. It could however still play the SD Card music via the playlist. My best guess is that the index was corrupted during the upgrade, or Lollipop indexes SD Cards differently.
    The solution to move SD Card music to Internal storage was a non-starter for me, as the Internal storage is 16GB and I have over 32GB of music on my SD Card.
    However, I can report that I solved the problem by:
    Connecting my phone to my PC by USB.
    Moving all the music off the SD Card and onto my PC.
    Moving it all back onto the SD Card.
    Time taken : over 2 hours! Thanks a bunch Sony. Lollipop looks nicer than KitKat but wasted my time, apart from seeming to make apps slower and eat battery faster My advice to people thinking of switching from KitKat - don't bother!

  • Itunes store not working properly after update 10.7

    I just did the latest itunes update to 10.7 and initially itunes store seemed fine, I was browsing films and was able to view a trailer, but the screen changed and there were suddenly no images of fims or ability to view trailers and nothing happens when I click 'rent film'. I restarted both itunes and computer but it's still the same. The main itunes store screen is completely blank now, if I scoll right to the bottom I can click on 'films' then screen is black apart from right hand menu. And still not functioning. Would really welcome some help please! Thanks.

    It seems maybe iTunes is being updated or there is an issue with 10.7 for some people not using Lion or Mountain Lion..? Wondered if it was a Snow Leopard thing but you're using 10.3.9 so that's not the issue. Wondering if it's just a UK thing...

  • ITunes Radio not working properly after signing up for iTunes Match

    I've been a user of iTunes Radio for some time now, and I've enjoyed it with minimal technical issues - until I signed up for iTunes Match. I'm not sure if it's simply coincidence, or if my subscription is causing issues.
    The problem is that when I click on a station, whether it be a Featured Station or one of My Stations, it acts like it will play, but the time bar never comes up below the song title. Instead of showing the status bar when a song is playing, indicating the time lapsed/remaining, it shows a solid blue bar all the way across with no time.
    I use Radio on my MacBook Pro (2009) and I also AirPlay my music to two Bose SoundTouch 20 speaker systems. I'm on the latest version of iTunes, my Bose systems are updated with the latest software, and I've never had an issue with this before. I can play songs I own or ones that I want to preview in the iTunes Store just fine through all of my speaker systems. What's interesting is that my NPR station in Radio works fine, though that one doesn't allow for AirPlay.
    I'm also having identical issues from my iPhone 5s. Though I can only play to one AirPlay device at a time from my iPhone, the symptoms are otherwise the same. Downloaded songs play fine; iTunes Radio freaks out and gives the "Station Temporarily Unavailable" message. Except it's not temporary, unless you consider two months of this irritation temporary...
    Here's what I've tried so far:
    Logging out of iTunes, restarting and logging back in.
    Resetting my Bose AirPlay speakers.
    Turning off the Bose SoundTouch App and Music Server App on my computer.
    Disconnecting my Bose AirPlay speakers from power altogether.
    Restarting computer and resetting iTunes Cache and Warnings.
    None of those attempts at fixing this issue has resolved anything. I'm at a bit of a loss for help here, and I really don't want to start uninstalling and reinstalling programs if it can be avoided. If there's a way to unsubscribe from iTunes Match, I'd want to try that first as that seemed to be when things started becoming non-responsive. If Apple provides a way to fix iTunes or the iTunes Match service without charging me a $29 support fee, I think that would be great, but I haven't seen one.
    Anyone encounter this before? Anyone at Apple listening? I'd greatly appreciate any help.

    Try it in Cellular as a quick test. Mi had lots of troubles and isolated the issue to Cox communications. May be an ISP issue.

  • Home Button not working properly after latest update

    After installing the latest update on my Iphone 4S, the home button immediately started to give me problems. It works sporadically.  Sometimes it allows me to close apps when I tap it twice, sometimes it won't do anything, sometimes it will go to the negative effect. This was not an issue prior to the latest update. I have version 7.1. Has anyone found a repair for this?

  • Audio i/o not working properly after sofware update?

    i've been working along fine with my mac, then after my OS told me there was "security update 2007-005" i thought no problem and installed it, then my motu 828 only plays audio for about 5-10sec pop and clicks sometimes then gives up. i have perfectly normal audio when running off the internal speaker without the interface turned on or being used by the os as a playback device. Tried disk utility, disk warrior, installed back to 10.4.0 then did some updates.
    i found this in the log files.

    it works for a little while when i reset back to my motu 828 but it seems to be a problem with the firewire audiostream that's somehow loosing sync or something.

    even when they have perfectly good working systems.
    i know i thought well it's just a security update not a major update.
    Best advice... whenever updating the OS, unplug all
    firewire devices.
    will take note of that from now on.
    Was this auto-update? Try downloading the file and
    running the update again with all firewire devices
    unplugged.
    While the 828 is disconnected perform the factory
    reset
    again.
    Disconnect the firewire cable from the 828mkII
    -Press the Setup knob
    -Turn the Setup knob all the way to the right
    -Press the Select knob
    -Press the Value knob
    -Power off the interface and plug the firewire cable
    back
    in
    -Power the interface back on
    i have the original 828 not mark 2, so no reset i know of, just power on off.
    After the Mac updates... reboot and plugin the 828,
    see if that doesn't get you going.

    WHEN I GO TO A PAGE IN SAFARI, I HOLDS TRYING TO FIND THE PAGE. A FEW MOMENTS LATER IT STATES THAT I'M NOT CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET (which I am). WHEN I REFRESH THE PAGE, IT IMMEDIATELY OPENS UP. THIS STARTED TWO DAYS AGO RIGHT AFTER THE SOFTWARE UPDATE FOR SAFARI. SOMETHING VERY BUGGY HERE. HELP

  • Help! Trackpad gestures are not working properly after Yosemite update

    So yesterday I updated my MBA to Yosemite. And since then I'm facing severe problems with my trackpad. Scroll and click gesture works as usual, but the other gestures suddenly stops working. I even checked my trackpad settings, but couldn't find any setting issues there. They won't just respond to any. Is it just me or everyone is facing such issues.

    Before 10.10.1 everything was working fine. Now, about one third of the time I use the 4 finger swipe the computer is dead (apparently mostly when using Numbers). I can still use the mouse but no response to clicks, keyboard, trackpad, or screaming out loud. All I can do is turn it off!
    This (in combination with Mail issues) is so bad that for the first time since using Mac I start thinking going back to PC...
