ITunes/iPhone not yet compatible with key new feature of iLife '08
I've upgraded to iLife '08 and am using the new Events feature of iPhoto and am loving it... and in the process I'm realizing that I can nix my own "Albums" that are no longer needed! But then I realize that photos are being deleted from my iPhone because the album no longer exists... duh! Okay, this makes sense, but where is the update to iTunes to support iPhoto Events????????????
Does anyone know of a work-around other than creating an album for each Event?
Come on Apple -- this iTunes syncing capability needs to be here very, very soon!!
Then perhaps you need to upgrade your computer? If your computer is not compatible with the current version of iTunes:

Broadband Internet connection to use the iTunes Store
I assume Windows computer. If your Windows computer isn't compatible with these requirements, I suggest donating to the local old folks home and getting a PC from this century.

The 4.0.1 and 5.0 are two separate versions as installing 4.0.1 over 5.0 will just give you the old 4.0.1 as the end result.
The 5.0 is partially as a security update in place of 4.0.2.
The Skype extension was only for to make it so you can dial phone numbers on a web page in the separate Skype program right so if you were not using it then no need for the Skype extension for the separate Skype application to work. -
Is there a version 5 download available on the website? Version 6 is not yet compatible with an application I use for school.

I suggest, that while Mozilla is on a "rush to release updates faster than fixing bugs" kick, NO ONE should have "automatic updates" on. Go into "tools" and turn off that option, and NEVER agree to accept an update unless you know that things have been made compatible and that the bugs have been ironed out.
It's also wrong of them to release NON-beta copies, automatically, which cause incompatibility, every few weeks. That should only happen every year or two.
We need to ban together and quit installing their updates until they quit rushing them out too quickly. -
We need more CS6 installations at our company. However, it's not possible to buy CS6, only CC. The software we are using in combination with CS6 is still not compatible with CC. So have have to use CS6 until that software is upgraded. Can we buy CC licenses (or membership) and use that licenses to activate new CS6 installations?

Is the Note 3 compatible with the new Verizon XLTE network coming?
I read that Verizon will be unveiling their new XLTE network on May 19th? The new service is supposed to provide better service in 50 new markets.

What are the 50 new markets?I've already noticed an increase in speeds and confirmed it using speedtest as shown above. I originally thought it was the recent KitKat update that brought the increased speeds until I saw this thread. The speeds averaged between 20-40 Mbps when I first got the Note 3 back in early April and now the speeds are about 50-75 Mbps on average. Is it possible that Verizon has already rolled out XLTE or could I see internet speeds go even higher when they do roll out XLTE?

Itunes will not show album cover in new features.
I updated itunes to itunes 7 the album artwork shos up when im listening to a sond but in the what apple calls coverflow feature. Even in the itunes music store it comes up that way. I reintalled and still the same problem. Any help would be great its a cool feature that i would love to use.

I noticed around the same time my Apple TV stopped showing in iTunes that Safari was running painfully slow, so I spent my time troubleshooting that instead of dealing with the Apple TV.
Anyway, my DNS server was 208.67.222.222 and several posters suggested i add 208.67.220.220 to my server list, which I did with nothing improving or changing. Well, I just decided to change the order the DNS servers were in, moving 220 above 222 and that instantly solved my Safari issue and internet browsing is blazing fast again. I decided to check if that changed anything with iTunes and it did. After re-entering my network settings into my Apple TV, iTunes now recognizes the Apple TV in the device control panel.

The Bluetooth low energy protocol is not backward compatible with classic Bluetooth protocol.
My iPhone 4s can not find my sonny in-dash player. However my iPhone 3GS does it. Very disappointed with this.

You are correct, Blue tooth low engergy, BTLE.(only) devices are not backward compatible with Classic bluetooth and cannot connect.
However the Apple 4S and above have Bluetooth 4.0 support.. Hardware wise it has bothClassic Bluetooth, like the 3GS, as well as Bluetooth Low Energy. There is no good reason why your 4s cannot communicate to your Sony in-dash player using the Classic bluetooth that resides in the 4S.
I know that this does not answer the why it does not work, but it should work. Do you have to somehow re-pair the new phone up to the player? Not knowing the model of the Sony it is hard to investigate.
And I hate to ask but are you sure that the Bluetooth radio is on in the phone?

I tried to update my iPhone 5 this morning with the new software update. Now my phone won't turn on. When I plug into iTunes, it says that my phone is in recovery mode and that it needs to be restored to factory settings. Is there a way to fix this without losing my settings? Why would this happen on a software update?

That is not what it says. Read the message again. It's telling you it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode and it must be restored.

Just got a new PC (Windows 7 with Picasa 3 installed). Not used Picasa before & worried this might not be compatible with i-tunes if I connect my ipod-classic. Have reinstalled i-tunes on new PC but scared that all my existing photo files on the ipod might not stay the same if I connect the ipod to the PC. Any advice please?
I know that they are on my computer. I'm saying, they're in ONE folder titled "iPhone" with separate folders in it titled by the dates the photos were added. I put them ALL in one folder thinking that the photos were listed in chronological order, not starting from 001 for each folder, and not there are duplicates, not of the pictures, but of the names. Ex. There's a picture of me titled 001.jpg and another of a friend titled 001 (1).jpg. See what I'm saying?
If I were to do backup, which I do not know how to do, I think it'd backup from THAT location where all my photos sync when I plug in my iPhone and the dialog box pops up. I'm not trying to get the pictures back onto my phone, I just want to make a 'backup' of ALL of them, at once, to replace the other folder with the duplicates, on my PC. -

Then another message pops ups and asked for rebuilding the Thumbnails. So I clicked rebuild. Next it asked me to do one of three things(I can't remember all of them) so I chose the last one which is to download a photo to iPhoto. Now I only have that photo I downloaded in iPhoto file but not the rest of my pictures. The iPhoto library which is stored in my EHD shows it has 349GB but it only show one thumbnail of the last picture I downloaded after the rebuild process. What can I do to recover the rest of the file?

You can't.
The only way to locate/disable/erase any lost/stolen iPhone/iPod Touch is through Find My Phone or a similar app. However, this requires that Find My Phone be setup/activated, on your phone, before it was lost/stolen. You would then login at iCloud.com & try to locate it. This requires the phone be turned on & have an Internet connection. There is no other way to locate a lost/stolen iPhone. Apple can't/won't help you, nor will your carrier. Report the loss to the Police, your carrier & Insurance company. Change all of your passwords.
If your carrier offers Blacklisting & they Blacklist the phone, it will be unusable as a phone.
If locked with a passcode, and running iOS 7.0, then phone cannot be activated or the passcode removed without knowing your Apple iD/Password. It will be nothing but a useless paperweight.
If not running iOS 7.0, the phone can be forced into recovery mode & restored.
