Itunes, Iphoto, Imovie, Disc Utility, Idvd will not work

Can someone please advise.
Itunes, Iphoto Imovie, Idvd will not work. All of my related files are there ie, all my music and photos but the actual programmes will not open. I read about using the Disc Utility but that will not open either. When I try to download say Itunes or Iphoto and lick on the download safari opens on google?
Please does anyone know what is wrong?
Its a PowerPc G5.

IMovie HD nor iDVD will not create new project.....

Anyone know of any issues why iMovie HD and iDVD are not able to open projects or create new projects? iMovie HD just stops "loading" the new project and freezes, and iDVD gives me an error code:

Anyone know what this means? AND how to fix it?

I am having this same problem. I am able to import the film, and iMovie seems to be fully functional with a very short movie, just a few frames. When I click on a clip after I've imported an hour's worth of film, iMovie crashes and doesn't even ask me if I want to report the problem. I tried saving the file then quitting iMovie, and when I opened the file again all of the clips were in the trash.

Finder/Disc Utility/Toast Will Not Burn DVD+R, DVD-R

I have an iMac that will no longer burn DVDs. I've tried various brands of DVD+R, DVD-R and DVD+R DL all of them do not burn in the finder, disc utility, or Toast. CDs burn fine. DVD+R DL discs burned previously with this machine will no longer mount. I just wiped the hard drive and reinstalled OS X and ran all updates and still have the problem.
Media brands tried: OfficeMax, TDK, Maxell, JVC, Sony.

ITunes for windows 7 64 bit will not work at all

Hi, I have a big problem with iTunes thats killing me.
So i updated my iphone 4 to IOS 5 and my last version of itunes which was 9. something i forgot... anyways when i had ios 5 i couldnt sync with the itunes cause it was too low version for the ios 5. So i have no music right now on the iphone + all that stuff.
So i updated my itunes to 10.5.1, the install didnt work or something so i did manual install and it worked but when i try to enter itunes it runs it as a process in task manager which i cant close that process, but iTunes wont open even though the proccess is in the task manager.
I tried reinstalling itunes and it didnt work, so i updated all my apple software including itunes to their latest version cause i thought it would help but it didnt.
How may i get iTunes 10.5.1 to work correctly so i can sync my iphone?? please help me

Photoshop Elements 11 disc and download will not work

I have spent 3 days trying to get photoshop 11 to install on my new computer (using windows 8) My disc seems to mysteriously be missing its setup file which makes no sense at all. I need to have this up and running soon as I use it for work as well as personal use. I also am concerned about having downloaded it several times now. Could there be conflicts happening from trying to open and run the files. It is as though some of it starts to open and then fails. I have posted my errors on another post from earlier today and yesterday.

ITunes v10.5 to 10.3 will not work...

I cannot get iTunes to roll back. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and renaming the library file name and keep getting the same result. Error 7 Windows error 127. Why is iTunes such a pain whereas all other programs can be uninstalled and reinstalled with no difficulty? Version 10.5 won't allow me to open other windows while iTunes is open. It is a nuisance. I reported this to Apple and have yet to receive a response from them.

I recentley received an iPod gen 3 as a gift, and when I plugged it in, iTunes told me it was corrupt. I was not able to update it due to error 1418 or something like that. so I upgraded my iTunes 7 to iTunes 7.5, and now it will not work. iTunes opens, but the window does not show up, and occasionally iTunes will not even close and I am forced to restart my computer. I have trashed and re-installed iTunes 7.5 multiple times, but always with the same results. any ideas? someone please help...

The ipod does not show up on my mac. when I plug it in, my computer just opens up the disk utility. it does not appear in the finder. the ipod works fine on a Pc though. the real problem is that itunes no longer works...

I just purchased a new sony vaio laptop computer with Window's 8 and I have uninstalled and installed itunes over 5 times and it will not work. When attempting to open it, a box pops up that says "ITunes has stopped working: A problems caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.". I have motified the compatibility under each selection, I have changed my securing options and nothing works. I am overwhelmed and frustrated with this issue!! Please help how to make this work, so disappointed with itunes!!!

Like it says in the title...My iDvd will not burn a disc...there is an encoding error that comes up after the title screen.
Here is the process that I have been doing.
1. put in a blank disk and with the project already being done, i hit burn (not too hard).
2. iDvd then starts to encode the title.
3. After the title has been encoded, the burning stops and a message comes up saying "there was an error during encoding" and when ever I try to burn the same message keeps on coming up.
I am running version 7.0.4
any help would be extremely helpful

Try using this workflow:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image and launch DVD Player and play it. If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding was good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality. Always use top quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
Then you can concentrate on the content if you can't create a disk image of the project.

With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a solution. We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:
what version of iPhoto are you using?
what system version are you running?
how are you getting the slideshow into iDVD?
what size slideshow did you send to iDVD?
can you export the slideshow to the Desktop and play it with Quicktime Player there?
what fixes have you tried?
how much free space on your boot drive?
Here's how you should create and sent a slideshow to iDVD from iPhoto:
Export the slideshow out of iPhoto as a QT movie file via the Export button in the lower toolbar. For iPhoto 9.4.3 and earlier select Size = Medium or Large. For iPhoto 9.5 and later selct 480p.
Open iDVD, select a theme and drag the exported QT movie file into the open iDVD window being careful to avoid any drop zones.
Follow this workflow to help assure the best quality video DVD:

IDVD will not launch in iMovie HD 5.0.2

The iDVD will not launch as a notice says it won't launch with my version of osx. I want to be able to burn DVDs but can't. Suggestions???

If you want to use the iLife programs,per Niels response on your other post, you need to upgrade to iLife '06. Looking at the requirements, iLife '06 is the only version you can upgrade to, as iLife '08 and later require Intel processors for iMovie and other functions. One place you can buy it from is: http://hardcoremac.stores.yahoo.net/ilife06.html .
There are some freebie DVD burning programs available, however, you lose the integration that the iLife programs bring with them.
Roxio makes several programs that will burn DVD's. I've used Toast Titanium for years and can recommend it. See http://www.roxio.com/

You may need many other updates to retain compatibility with Lion. I suggest you reinstall Snow Leopard. Unfortunately, you will need to erase the drive first. Be sure to backup your data if you haven't done so already.
Clean Install of Snow Leopard
Be sure to make a backup first because the following procedure will erase
the drive and everything on it.
     1. Boot the computer using the Snow Leopard Installer Disc or the Disc 1 that came
         with your computer. Insert the disc into the optical drive and restart the computer.
         After the chime press and hold down the "C" key. Release the key when you see
         a small spinning gear appear below the dark gray Apple logo.
     2. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue
         button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
         After DU loads select the hard drive entry from the left side list (mfgr.'s ID and drive
         size.) Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window. Set the number of
         partitions to one (1) from the Partitions drop down menu, click on Options button
         and select GUID, click on OK, then set the format type to MacOS Extended
         (Journaled, if supported), then click on the Apply button.
     3. When the formatting has completed quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed
         with the OS X installation and follow the directions included with the installer.
     4. When the installation has completed your computer will Restart into the Setup
         Assistant. After you finish Setup Assistant will complete the installation after which
         you will be running a fresh install of OS X. You can now begin the update process
         by opening Software Update and installing all recommended updates to bring your

How do i store media (itunes,iphoto, & imovie) on external HD?

I have a 2007 imac that's HD is almost full, so....I'd like to take my old external HD that used to be the backup (using time machine), and now use it solely for all my itunes, iphoto and imovie files to edit from and playback from.
1. Do I need to erase the old backups on it or will it just write over it?
2. Do I need to partition it specifically for itunes, iphoto & imovie (three separate designated spaces for each)?
3. How do I properly move not only the main files but also the files that store the playlists(itunes), photo albums(iphoto) and events/projects (imovie) for each?
I have leopard and iLife '08 in case that matters...

Make sure the drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
1. Quit iPhoto
2. Copy the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.
4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space.
