ITunes is billing me for a mystery account.

I am currently being charged £39.99 on a quarterly basis from my business account.  I don't receive invoices or emails regarding the amount being taken. It being taken by direct debit and I can't stop it as the bank won't let me. I have contacted apple and they asked me for the apple Id we use. I gave this and it was incorrect. At which point they said there was nothing more they could do.
I have used iTunes for years along with my wife. We use the same apple id and password. The payment comes from our joint account. So we can't work put what iTunes is charging and from our business account.
Anyone able to help?

This is something your bank must help you resolve. If your bank card, account information, or credit number is being used illegally then the corresponding bank must take action.
It's like when you have a credit card stolen and then try running to each store it gets used at trying to get your money back. The store does not know who is good or who is bad until the bank starts canceling the card and any charges that are associated with it.
iTunes may not what to get involved in trying to determine who the legit account holder, this could get really messy.

    Seems the link for 'reporting a problem' that is part of the iTune store receipt email I received today will not work on an iPad.
    Yet it works on my MacPro laptop, so I was able to at least write a report.
    Id rather deal with billing issues person to person via voice phone...but I fear those days are gone.
    my last resort was to contact AMex and have them stop payment until this issue resolved.
    Drastic, but at least I get attention from a human.

  • ITunes Won't Authorize for Automatic Downloads & Account Information Viewing

    Hi,
    So I've been having a problem signing into iTunes for the last few days now. First off, I've isolated the problem to my MacBook Pro and verified that Mac OS X/iTunes were both up to date. I've reinstalled iTunes and restarted. I've tried re-athorizing my computer for the Store. I've tried reseting my network configuration by deleting the NetworkInterfaces.plist. I've even tried deleting the SC Info folder. Nothing has worked. At all. What is happening is that whenever I go to authorize Automatic Downloads or to view my Account in the iTunes Store, it just keeps prompting me without ever signing in. I can see the progress bar moving to signify it's attempting to connect but it always fails to do so. Oddly enough and despite not being able to update my apps, it's actually somehow updated a few of them. Could this perhaps be a case of my ISP not having the correct ports open? At this point, I really don't know what else it could be. Anyway, this is just becoming more and more frustrating by the day. Please help!

    Let me guess: you changed hardware or did major system changes? Like Windows needs to be activated again after such changes, iTunes needs too. Just deauthorise the PC and authorise again, should fix the problem.

  • Can 1 iTunes library be used for 2 match "accounts"?

    My husband and I have built our music collection into 1 iTunes library on a computer over the years (with lots of albums imported from CDs). I signed up for Match recently. Can he also use that library if he pays for Match separately?I did a test and I think it may work but looking for confirmation before we pay another $25.
    My test was- I have Match loaded on my iphone and I can see all of our songs. I logged out of iTunes on our computer and he logged in using his separate Apple ID. It appears he could then pay for Match and go through the set up using our library also. I went back to my iphone and all of the songs are still available even though I logged out of iTunes on the computer. When I logged back into iTunes on the computer with my Apple ID, Match was not set up and I would have to go through the steps of setting it back up. That is not a concern for me because I only care about access to Match on my iphone.

    You can only use one Apple id on your computer for iTunes match. If your husband used his Apple id and signed up for match, you would be locked out of match for 90 days. You should consider both of you using your Apple id for match.

    I think they're slowly nudging people to switch, .mac & MobileMe are going away about July, may as well set it up now.
    I understand .mac mail will still come through.
    iCloud Mail setup, do not choose .mac or MobileMe as type, but choose IMAP...

    I just received an email receipt from Paypal showing a $12.99 purchase from iTunes. I almost NEVER purchase anything over around five dollars in the app or music store.   • HT3702 I see Apple billed me for 24.95 for ITunes Match - whatever that is.  Has anyone else got the feeling that Aplle should make sure a customer is actually ordering something.  Big business in unconscionable.

    I am sick about the lack of ethicacy in business today.  Everytime I turn, some merchant has giged my again.  Apple's made know clear indication that there would be a billing for ITunes Match service - and I could not therefore authorize it.  How many of you think Apple owes its customers for doing this - which they sould have and could haveknown to be wrong. itunes Match  IS NOT EVEN LISTED AS A PRODUCT.

    It is a subscription service you have to authorize payment before you can even use it.  I am not certain but maybe if you have one click buy enabled you maybe, perhaps, accidentally bought it.  Also you may want to check with anyone else in your household who may have decided to get it without your knowledge/approval. 
    I don't think apple is to blame in this instance and I think you need to figure out what you're doing with your account before you start lambasting a company that is rated highest in customer satisfaction year after year after year...
    You should also take a look at this http://www.apple.com/itunes/itunes-match/ please note the GIANT BLUE BUTTON that reads "subscribe for 24.99 a year" oh yeah that's really tricky how they did that.  They sure mislead you. 
    Now you're probably going "did i try that out last year and forget about it cause i didn't like it?"  Perhaps cause itunes match SUCKED in iOS 6.  It was AWESOME in iOS 5.  Next thing you know a year goes by and poof your SUBSCRIPTION auto renews because you failed to cancel it.  If you don't like the service and don't want it go to itunes, go to the store, open your account, and click manage subscriptions and remove itunes match. 
    And one last thing you elected to use a lot of big words but failed to discern the difference between "know" and "no"

    Nope. You can only have one credit card attached to an account at a time. Its not that big of a deal to use two accounts, users do this all the time. Create the second account(UK Account) in iTunes on your computer...sign out of your Italian account first. Then authorize your computer for this new account: Store>Authorize this computer. Then sync your phone. Now, to switch accounts on your phone: Settings>Store...tap the ID shown...sign out...then sign back in with the ID you want to use.
