Itunes is constantly downloading podcasts, deleting them, and redownloading them. How can i stop this?

Itunes downloaded 122gb in a single day last month, which pushed me well over my internet data cap. My podcasts are set to keep all unplayed podcasts, and to automatically download the most recent ones. These settings are what I've used successfully for close to two years now.
Today I installed Windows 8 RP, hoping to resolve the issue (and of course play more with W8RP). Started it up, subscribed to a podcast, the newest episode was downloaded (i had watched it on their website previously), i right clicked it and selected 'mark as played', it disappeared and was not redownloaded. As intended. So then i subscribed to my other 30ish podcasts and observed the downloads page in itunes for a bit. One completed, disappeared and never reappeared anywhere. It wasnt in podcasts at all. I waited for another one to complete, same thing happened. But when it disappeared from the downloads queue, the first one reappeared at the bottom of the downloads queue.
Any idea what's going on? googling didnt help in the slightest.

So, you are trying to use Windows 8 to resolve the issue of going over your data cap, is that correct? (Surely not!) But, watching, so it's a video - and then letting iTunes download the same video as a Podcast is the reason you're going over your data cap, isn't it?
But frankly, I'm confused about the nature of your issue. Is it that you go over your data cap, or that iTunes (and I have to assume you mean iTunes and not Windows 8 [RP]) is downloading the same Podcast twice?
Why do you need to manually set a Podcast to "mark as played", iTunes will do that for you when the Podcast ends? What has Windows 8 got to do with any of this?
And why are you subscribing to your other 30ish Podcasts after downloading Windows 8 (yet more of your data usage allowance)? You imply that you regularly listen (or watch) these Podcasts, so presumably you are already subscribed to them, so why subscribe again? Are you doing this in Windows 8 as well as iTunes?
Sorry if I sound negative; perhaps it's me, but I really don't understand what exactly you are doing, which suggests that whatever it is, is the reason for your issues. Maybe someone else will see the light and add to this post and sort out your problems, but if not, then perhaps it's because they are as confused as I am and can offer no useful advice.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
When you are the Family Sharing organizer, purchases are billed to your account unless the family member making purchases has an iTunes Gift Card or iTunes credit on their account. The attached article has more information on how this process works.

What I may suggest in your situation would be to discontinue the Family Sharing and use iCloud calendar sharing. Using this method keeps your accounts separate but allows you to still share your calendar.

When you "rename" a photo in iPhoto you're adding a Title to the shot, not renaming the file. This si quite standard metadata in photography, but it appars that it's getting lost in the upload/at Snapfish process.
You can use the Titles as filenames if you export using the File -> Export command. It's one of the options in the export dialogue. You can upload the exported items.

I deleted my voicemails from my iphone 4. A few days later I discover all of the deleted voicemails have been restored. How can I stop this?

I have had the same problem for months. Neither ATT nor Apple has a solution. I am forced to clear the deleted messages to keep them from restoring themselves to the active Voicemail list. The problem began with IOS 4.1 and has continued through two IOS updates. I just live with it although I am tempted to switch to the Verizon iPhone since ATT is baffled by a glitch that is clearly on their side. (Replacement iPhones and even an added phone number have not helped. It is something in our ATT profile.

Flip the Ring/Silent switch. Make sure Vibrate when silent is off in Settings>Sound.

The Maverick update on my 2009 Mac caused the command key to cause the current page to hide. It sometimes stays in the side but mostly, after a delay, will return to the screen with the action completed. Such commands as Print, Copy, Paste, all of the Command shortcuts do this.
It is impossible to focus on the work since it disappears, delays and then returns.
How can I change this to act like the usual commands and just make the action occur instantly on the page as it rests on the screen?

If you are getting a box which looks like this -
- then you are right-clicking or Control-clicking on the icon in the Dock, or are click-and-holding on the icon rather than just single-clicking it quickly.
In any of those cases, clicking on a bare patch of Desktop should make the box (menu) disappear.

You can't gift content or amounts to other countries, as you are in the US with a US iTunes account you can only gift to fellow US iTunes account holders.
Part of the store's terms of use is that you need to be in a country to use its store, so to be able to gift from the Canadian store you need to be in Canada with a Canadian billing address, and if using a credit card then that needs to have been issued by a Canadian bank.

Safari puts a copy of downloads onto my desktop even though i have the downloads folder specified as the save downloads to location in Safari preferences. How can I stop this from happening?

What are dmgs? I downloaded Microsoft Silverlight and the icon showed up on my desktop. I tried moving it to trash but it wanted to delete the whole program instead of just a shortcut. If you're continuously being prompted to enter the administrator password to unlock your Keychain when you're using Mail, then I'd like you to please follow the directions outlined below.
If you entered the correct password in the password dialog in Mail, but continue to be asked for your password, try these suggestions.
In Keychain Access, locate and delete the email account password item.
In Disk Utility, select the volume (for your hard disk or disks) in the list, click First Aid, then Verify Disk. After you’ve verified (and repaired, if necessary) the disk, try sending yourself a message.

I work with a lot of tabs and most of the time, I need pages in new tabs to open fast. Recently, whenever I open a page in a new tab, Firefox goes to the new tab for a second, then back to the tab I was on previously, although I have it set to not automatically go to new tabs.
