Itunes is freaking out?
It's hard to explain the problem but when i open itunes, its working fine but as soon as i click on a song, it starts scrolling up from that song till it hits the top of the library. I dont know if thats because of the update or an actualy problem within my computer. Thanks.

Help meeeee.... iTunes is freaking out!
ITunes keeps locking up (spinning beachball) whenever I:
1-try to eject my nano
2-Try to quit iTunes
3-My finder freezes too sometimes
I also cannot add music to my nano without it freaking out: beachball spins for an eternity. I've had tp manually shut down my computer several times. I've had to pull my iPod out when it says "do not disconnect." I tried TP2GO's solution here:

But when the screen came up from booting with COMAND S held down, it kept timing out every 5 seconds and I simply did not have a chance to type in /sbin/fsck -fy as I he directed.
Note-
I keep my iTunes music folder on an external. Recently I noticed some songs were not being saved there, so I manually moved them and then i went into iTunes preferences and confirmed that my music was still being saved to that folder. It was....I think.
Ever since, I've had lots of problems.

Help itunes is freaking out my Ipod!
Whats going on everyone? I have a classic ipod model (the first with click wheel) and when I connect to my desktop it decides to disconnect and connect on its own. It does it the most of the time when I turn itunes on I can connect it to any other computer and don't have this problem. I've reinstall itunes and formatted my ipod so any further suggestions would be gladly appreciated.

My iTunes is freaking out and malfunctioning
and Apple wants $50 to talk to tech support! After getting my 3rd (YES THIRD) replacement iPod because none of them worked properly, now the program is not working and I AM PI$$ED.
If anyone can help I would really ppreciate it. First of all, when I open iTunes a window pops up that says "There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive." Makes no sense. It also does the same thing if I click on a song. When I manage to get that to go away, another window posp up that says" The song could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?" For every single one of my 6956 songs **** no I would not like to locate it.
Additionally, if I try to get to the store thru the program, it opens a window but never opens the store. I would think Apple would be thrilled to help me through this problem so I can spend MORE MONEY on their products but they want $50 for the privelege.
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP BEFORE I GO POSTALmorning fontaine. I really thing that we can help, just need some info. Do you get the no disk when you are trying to burn or when iTunes opens ?? Is your iTunes folder in you " my Music " folder ?? I am asking these questions to make sure we are on the same page. Has QT and iTunes been updated to current versions ??? Have you tried to go to control panel , add/remove and try to repair iTunes or QT ?? Might want to remove QT and then re load the stand alone down load. If no errors, then try to over write iTunes with another update down load. Do you get any type of number errors ( 21xxx, etc) if so please post and we will try to get you in the right direction. So put away the weapons and sharp objects for now. Might want to set iTunes to not open when OS is booting up at this point .

Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
I wasted about 1.5 hours with Apple on this issue. It all started happening after I updated to the latest version of iTunes. I haven't been able to sync my iPhone 4 in 1 month and am freaking out about possibly losing my pictures, video, text messages and music.
Windows XP user.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Bought a new iMac in November and finally got around to backing up my iPad to it. All software is up to date on both, but when I plug my iPad into the computer it starts freaking out. On the iPad, a message pops up about trusing or not trusting the computer, however it flashes multiple times on the screen and I can't hit trust. Also, the battery icon flashes charging/not charging. Really, the whole screen keeps flashing. On the computer (screen shot attached) this pops up. I hit continue and then the second picture pops up. To top it off, once I unplug the iPad I literally had to click "Ok" in the second picture 37 times before it went away. I've owned three iPads and 4 or 5 Macs over the years and have never had something like this happen. I can't connect via wifi either. I have tried restarting the computer and iPad. I have not tried another lightning cable because I do not have one. The cable I have works fine if I plug it into the wall to charge it. Oh yeah, I also tried using all of the USB ports on the computer.
I'm running an iPad with Retina (Model MD511LL/A) wifi 32gb on iOS 7.0.4, a 27" iMac with OS X Mavericks 10.9.1 and iTunes 11.1.3

Notice how it says iPhone instead of iPad? I have to hit ok multiple times after I unplug the iPad. If I leave it plugged in, this does not go away.Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.
Not normal. Take it to an Apple Store for evaluation.

Yes, you can take all the time that you need. They will not do anything other than wait for you to pay. Your account will not be closed nor will it go into collections.
You can pay it back with an iTunes card or any way you wish including prepaid credit cards. -
ITunes 7.1.1 freaking out on coverflow view
Like the subjact says, I downloaded 7.1.1 last night, and now when I go into coverflow view (windowed or full screen), when the mouse is over the window, it starts freaking out and counting down (jerkilly, not smoothly) all the way back to the first album.
Does anyone know what the problem is?Philip Henry,
What type of mouse do you have, it should say on the bottom?
Can you test with another mouse?

Is there some sort of workaround, tweak or app available that can prevent my phone from freaking out when I want to receive a phone call? It is simply impossible to see who is calling because the display will not display anything for a few seconds when it's rotated. It is also not possible to use the slider keys to pick up or decline the call. Is there some way to prevent the display from rotating without disabling auto rotating all together?
1. iTunes Menu > Store > Authorize This Computer
2. iTunes Menu > Store > Sign in
3. iTunes prefs > Devices > Prevent .... from syncing automatically
4. With iTunes open, connect phone
5. iTunes Menu > File > Devices > Transfer Purchases
6. iTunes Menu > File > Devices > Backup
Now safe to sync. You will lose any music/media on the phone that was NOT purchased from the iTunes Store (i.e. ripped CD's, MP3's from other sources) -
FREAKING OUT HERE!! videos not playing in 4.0.3
I have a major presentation to give in 3 hours and I am having a MAJOR freak out here. I've had trouble with movies not playing properly before (black screen with just the audio playing) but either clicking on the 'Allow Expose, Dashboard....' button in preferences, or reloading them (insert, choose) has fixed the problem. Now nothing seems to work. Tried rebooting the machine, even trying to play a single movie in a new document. Nothing. I'm sunk if I can't get this wretched program to work very very soon. HELP ANYONE!!
What's the format of the videos? Do they play in QuickTime, iTunes?

Freak-out after system restoration
Hi everybody! This is my first post here, you all seem very helpful and I hope you can help me because I'm freaking out a little.
This summer, my hard drive and motherboard got fried and replaced. Happily, I had everything backed-up on an external hard drive, it was just geographically far from me. I just got back to it (about a month later), and successfully restored all my missing files and apps. The only catch is now I can't find anything I had saved during that month between hard drive replacement and restoration, including some pretty important photos. Is there somewhere I'm not looking? Or did I do something horribly wrong? Any help you can throw my way would be incredibly appreciated.

How did you backup your stuff to an external HDD?
Did you use a backup utility? If so, which?
I used Apple's "Backup" application, which I had to download again to access my info off of the hard drive.
Did you backup/clone the entire HDD, the Users Folder or individual files?
I backed up my users folder, a few applications I don't still have the installation disks for, and my Word, Photoshop, itunes, and iphoto library folders, I believe.
So, both the HDD and the logic board were replaced. Right? In other words, same computer, only >now with replaced logic board and HDD?

I found basically the instructions how to do it in Backup Help, except for some probably critical information. It told me to click on the links below for restoring files to iphoto or itunes, except those links didn't exist anywhere.
In retrospect, I think I figured out what I did wrong. They give you two options, one involving replacing missing files and the other involving overwriting files. I took that to mean that if any duplicate files existed on both my computer and the hard drive, it would replace the existing ones with those from the hard drive. However, I think it really meant that it overwrote all of the information on my computer with the information being imported from the hard drive. If this is really what I did, can any of that information be retrieved?
OK, so after the HDD was replaced you were working on the computer and saved some photos on >it, is that right? Then, since you restored your backed up data you cannot find those photos and >other stuff you saved before restoring the old data, is that right?

I have an iPhone 4 & recently got an iPad mini. I have one Apple ID for everything. I can access iTunes & my iCloud info in settings on my iPad but now my iCloud info & iTunes is frayed out on my iPhone & I can't open them!

I recently got an iphone 5S and my songs not purchased from iTunes are grayed out (phone only) and are skipped past when playing them through my iPhone. i have tried the following:
1) Removing all music from phone and resynced to iTunes PC library.
2) Erased phone and restored from back up
3) Erased phone and started as a new iPhone
4) Reformated the music files in my library that weren't playing
5) Deleted songs from iPhone and computer and re-imported CDs
6) Tried to redownload my COMPLETE MUSIC LIBRARY from iCloud.
7) I have also turned it off and turned it back on several times
8) I tried syncing through my macbook (only moved partial songs to it to see if it would even work).
9) I have tried to get Siri to play them, did not work.
10) All music does play fine on my iPod Touch 3rd (iOS6 i think) gen and iTunes on Mac and PC
11) I added a CD to my roommates iTunes and it plays on their iPhone 5S but not mine.
After all of these things it is now WORSE!!! My iTunes purchased songs are now experiencing the same issue along with some (not all) of the original music files that were skipping and grayed out. My conclusion is i have no clue at this point! I have done everything i have found online in EVERY discussion, i have spent over 60 hours trying to get this to work and i am asking myself, i bought this product why am having to fix this when it worked just fine on my iPod touch (3rd Gen) and iPod Classic!!!! PLEASE APPLE FIX THIS ISSUE FOR US!!!!I had this problem too after i upgdatd to OS X Mavericks... only the songs on my iphone 5s that i purchased from itunes would play.
i read something about it being a syncing issue. when you plug your phone into your computer with the usb cable, the person said to switch from automatic syncing of itunes to the "manual" option. mine was already set to manual so i wasn't sure anything would work. BUT, when i plugged my phone into my computer, it started to sync all of my music on my phone again (top of itunes bar where song playing/time is listed said "now syncing 123/534 songs to x's iphone"). once that was completed, i checked the music app on my iphone and everything was back to normal!
so, i would suggest setting your music syncing settings to manual if you haven't tried that yet!

My Ipod touch is freaking out!
This just started happening about a week ago...it seems to be ok when you first turn it on, but after a few moments..it freaks out. For instance, my keyboards--with whatever app, beit email or notes or a game..I try to type a letter--it types everything BUT that letter. And none of the erase buttons work to go back. On the Music--I keep trying to go to Playlists and it keeps flipping to Artists and pursues its own songs! Sometimes I don't even have to touch the Ipod--I just get my finger near it and it picks up the button it thinks I'm trying to touch and goes to whereever! It's like its possessed! It will cut in the middle or beginning of a song and go to whatever other song. It's not on shuffle or genious or whatever...I did a full reset by holding down the two buttons, but that only temporary fixes it. I can't type anything on it because it presses its own letters uncontrollably. Please help..this is a brand new Ipod I just got for Christmas. I didn't get it wet, I've been very careful with it. I do not want a refurb! I have lots of stuff on this 32G! :((
