Itunes is no longer my default player. I would like it back.
After installing the new Windows Media 11; my itunes is not my default audio player and I cannot get it back as my default. It states that I do not have the access to do it. Please help I want my itunes back as my default player. Thank you very much.
Go to a music file on your computer. Right click it and then hover over 'open with' then click 'choose program...', check the box at the bottom 'always use this program' and then browse/select itunes from the list above.

This is no longer done via iTunes.
Use whatever CD/DVD burner software is installed on your computer.
Add the iTunes media folder to the list of files/folders to burn to disc. -

If you go to Settings > iTunes & AppStore , you can sign out from your account, and sign in with the one you've used to purchase apps.This will not remove any apps you already have on it.
Then you can go to AppStore and download apps you've purchased (either via "Purchased" button in "Updates", or simply search for them and download them.
That way you can have multiple accounts' apps on your iPad. When updating, you will be prompted for the credentials for account you've purchased given App with. -
I have bought itunes songs on an ipad with my daughter apple id. i would like to back them up on the same computer I sync my iphone with using my apple id but they will not transfer. Both iphone and ipad have only been synced on the computer mentioned since they were purchased. Is there any way to get the ipad music transferred to the computer?
And they were definitely purchased from the iTunes store, they show on the account's purchase history (Store > View Account on a computer's iTunes, or you can view the last 90 days purchases via http://reportaproblem.apple.com) ?
You could potentially log into the account on that computer's iTunes (Store > Sign Out to log out of your account, that will then change to a Store > Sign In option) and redownload them by clicking on the id towards the top right of the iTunes screen and Purchased on the popup :

Or do you have a different computer that you could redownload them on and then copy them over to that computer via a flash drive or memory card, and then add them to its iTunes via File > Add To Library ? -

Select the Inbox folder to see emails.
click on first email to get focus.
Hold down 'Ctrl' key and press 'A' key
This will highlight /select all emails.
they will appear as conversations in the Message Pane
Clickon Delete.
when it has finished - you do have a lot of emails :)
Right click on Inbox and select 'compact' - this removes all marked as deleted emails. -
I have a brand new macbook with microsoft office loaded. I set outlook as the default mail. i would rather go back to mac mail but can't figure out how to do it. any ideas?

LouI have a similar problem: I switched from mac mail to Outlook 2011 as the default client, and want to switch back. Mailto links (eg from browser etc) default to Mail. However, when I try to email a Word document as an attachment, it continues to open Outlook. Outlook has a button in its prefs for making it the default client, but I don't see a way to turn this pref off in either Outlook or in Word.

I would like to be able to delete more then just one email at a time. I get a lot of mail that needs deleted and takes a long time to do. Would like to do 10 email deletes at a time on my iPad. Can you help me.

I authorized and dled ITUNES to the new pc. Well i would like to know where is all my songs i purchased? I want to hear them on this pc, i bought them so where are they and how do i get them on here so i can buy new songs and make new playlists?
They will only be where you put them. They do not magically appear in new places.

I was billed for iTunes Match and I was not aware and would like to cancel it and get a refund for it. I don't store my music in iCloud and still have 4.5 gig of my 5 gig free. Please advise

1. I want to back up iTunes on a memory stick. If I make an alias of it would that be the best way to do this?

The easiest way is NOT to use an alias (iTunes doesn't like them). Copy the whole iTunes folder in Home > Music to the other drive.
Your broken links means something has happened so the file listed in iTunes window no longer exists in the location that iTunes thinks it is in. You either moved the file or renamed something you shouldn't have, or the file truly has gone missing. With iTunes 10.3 or greater you can download iTunes purchases again. I don't have the link in front of me right now but browse past posts on missing music and I am sure you'll see it provided. -
I would like to back up my itunes and iphoto collection to icloud is this possible?
I have over 50 gb of photos, video and music that I would like to have on a cloud, I know I can do itunes match (quite expensive) is there something similar for iphoto. I would prefer to have automatic back ups to a cloud rather than have to back up my self to another HD.

You should be aware that 50GB is going to take you a very long time to back up - it depends on your connection of course, but very likely more than a week of continuous uploading. -
My Itunes library got wiped out, no playlists any more. I would like to copy what is on my IPOD back to Itunes because I have purchased a newer IPOD nano. I am not able to drag and drop any of the music on my IPOD to a new playlist name on Itunes.
Restore your iTunes library from your most recent backup of it. If you've not had the foresight to maintain a backup of your library see turingtest2's user tip on Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device, which lists several methods - some using third-party tools - to accomplish this. There is no facility in iTunes itself to transfer media (other than iTunes Store purchases) from any iDevice to iTunes, and iDevices are not designed or suitable for data storage.

The email attached to my icloud is no longer good. I would like to attach a new email to the icloud. The same one i use for my apple id.
I thought you wanted to change it on your Mac since this is the iCloud on my Mac forum. To change it on your phone, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out (or Delete Account if you aren't running iOS 8), then choose Delete from My iPhone and provide your password when prompted. If you're syncing your Mac with iCloud, you should also go to System Preferences>iCloud, click Sign Out and choose Delete from Mac at all of the prompts. Then change the primary email address associated with your iCloud ID as explained here: Change your Apple ID. Once you've made the change and verified the new address, go back to Settings>iCloud, sign in with the revised ID and make sure your sync settings are the way you want them as well as turning on Find My iPhone again. If you're syncing your Mac with iCloud, also go back to System Preferences>iCloud and sign back in with the revised ID. Your iCloud data will download back to your phone and Mac with you sign back in.
